1. Ridicules hysteria
Ali ,   October 6 City Egypt   (11.22.10)
Jerusalem, the Golan Heights and Sinai Peninsula were occupied at the same time in 1967. The Sinai Peninsula was returned to Egypt without any referendums, even though Israelis claim that Moses received the Torah in Sinai.
2. the Rabin deposit
observer   (11.22.10)
Rabin informed the United States that he had committed himself to full withdrawal from the Occupied Golan Heights on the following five conditions: 1. Full normalization of diplomatic relations between Syria and Israel and the exchange of ambassadors following the achievement of the first phase of pullout by Israel from the Golan Heights. 2. Withdrawal from the Golan Heights shall be implemented within five years. 3. Full normalization of relations by Syria that includes trade exchange and tourism cooperation. 4. Syria must accept new security arrangements which would provide, among other things, for American-installed early alarm systems on the Golan Heights, to be made operational after Israel has started to withdraw its forces. 5. Syria has to ensure that Israel’s needs for water from the Sea of Galilee are to be met. If a Syrian-Israeli peace is not achieved, Israel will be to blame and a Syrian resort to arms will be justifiable. Unlike the WB, Jews have no biblical claim to the Golan.
3. About time this was made a law
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (11.22.10)
4. "Israel" Is In A Critical Situation
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.22.10)
With or without peace, but believe me peace is the lesser of two evils.
5. #2, weird that
Danny   (11.22.10)
That Syria is perfectly allowed to demand land conquered by them in 1948 but that they never had sovereignty over but East Jerusalem is illegal. Almost like two standards. As for taking it back by force of arms, they tried that in 1973 and got their army wiped out.
6. #4 Salma, I concur
Nour ,   One-State   (11.22.10)
It looks like even the most extreme of their fanatics realize that the status quo is untenable.
7. Observer #2 you are wrong
David ,   USA/ISRAEL/EGYPT   (11.22.10)
Read history books. The name alone proves to be Hebrew "GOLAN" . Gamla will not fall again , even parts of today's Syria and Jordan belongs to the Jewish nation. Stop changing History it's has been already made
8. B"H, smarter people have come to common sense legislation.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.22.10)
With absurd groups like 'peace now" trying to give the country away because they hate Israel, smarter people have prevailed. Now, expand this to the West Bank and let obumma have a stroke.
9. #4 Palestine is clinically dead.
Joe F.   (11.22.10)
Israel's "critical situation" can easily be turned around for the good, whereas your's cannot be.
10. Salma and Nour two refugees one in Lebanon and one....
David ,   Haifa Israel   (11.22.10)
look it you two terrorist supporting thugs. you are both homeless refugees. go home to jordan or syria or egypt... israel is my home. the home ofthe jews. we do not want you or your terroristic kind here. you muslims contribute only suffering and death... we love life. sadly the hamas and you arabs love death and murder more than we love life... please go away.
11. Not enough
Jew ,   Israel   (11.22.10)
The legislation should forbid withdrawal from annexed lands. I would call it the "3 no's legislation". No apologies for our right to live here, no regrets for what we did to stay here and no surrender to calls for our death. They have their 3 no's, we should have ours.
12. #1 slight correction
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.22.10)
Your remark has a tone of sarcasm implying that you doubt Sinai is the place where Torah was given. It isn't only Israelis that claim Moses received the Torah in Sinai, it is Egypt including Mr. Mubarak. I hope that you aren't calling Mr. Mubarak a liar.
13. Question to Salma:
Omri ,   Israel   (11.22.10)
You seem to hate the idea of Jews living here with all you're heart but what alternative did you really have in mined? Did you see how much Europe likes Jews living there?
14. The enemies yells insults, because it is the RIGHT thing
Jae ,   Lynn US   (11.22.10)
to do. Shouldnt take years to do however. Next up: direct representation; every mk gets voted in, no more backscratching within parties. every leader becomes truly a public servant- and their job rests on their performance for the public- not how much a$$ they kiss within the party itself.
15. to #1 wrong in 1889 jews nought lands
ghostq   (11.22.10)
from bedouins in the golan hight, they owned the land, syria didn't exist yet, syria was created by the French in 1940, which later conquered the area, between 1940-1967 they used to have numerus attacks by snifering at the people who lived in the Jordan vally. as for Moses, his goal and ambition was to go back home to th epromised land aka the land of cnaane, Sini got no importanse to any other religion what so ever. never was. go read the bible. it always claimed that what was sacred was the evant not the place.
16. to #4 salma you try to sound poetic
ghostq   (11.22.10)
but your TB make no sense cause even you don't know what you r talking about.
17. It's about time...
Alexander ,   NJ, USA/Israel   (11.22.10)
What little Israel has everyone wants... It's about time we stand strong against the foreign forces that would seek to claim our lands.
18. :: David - #10
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (11.22.10)
While I cannot say with utmost certainty (I will leave that for Salma and Nour) it is highly probable that neither Salma nor Nour were born in Jordan, Syria or Egypt. It is also highly probable that Salma and Nour’s families and their recent forefathers and their forefathers lived in the region of Palestine while your recent forefathers resided in Europe of the US or anywhere else except the region of Palestine. I mention this only to point out the ludicrousness of your statement telling them to ‘go home’ to countries they never came from. Actually ‘Israel’ is a very recent name for a part of a region which has been known for a millennia as ‘Palestine’ and this region has been home to Jews, Muslims and Christians for thousands of years. The recent attempt by Zionist Jews to carve out a ‘national homeland for Jews’ is in part understandable and also in part flawed on the basis that it rejects the obvious fact that this ‘national homeland’ has been and continues to be the homeland for Jews, Muslims and Christians. As a Zionist delegation once stated: "the bride is beautiful but she is married to another man". David I would suggest that you learn how to co-exist with your neighbors, in the same way as Arabs have shared their land with Diaspora Jews for thousands of years, otherwise you will run into real problems when a One State solution is implemented.
19. #1 don't worry when Messiah comes...
Alexander ,   NJ, USA/Israel   (11.22.10)
we will get it all back and you guys won't fight about it either. You guys will actually give it to us and love us more than anyone just like everyone else that tried to destroy us. It's strange really, all the people that love us are all the people that once wanted to destroy us just like the Arabs and Muslims now. You all caught the antisemitic bug, and the only cure is loving Jews and one day there will be a time when Arabs will wish they were more like Jews. Shalom :)
20. # 18
Birdi ,   Israel   (11.22.10)
LOL, you suggest that we learn to co exist with the Arabs. Pray tell us how we co exist with a people whose main intent is to expel us from our land with all the means of violence possible to them. Tell us how to co exist with a people who dont honestly want peace with us ? Tell us how to co exist with a people who hate our guts ?
21. #12 since Israel does not believe in Quraan or in New Testam
observer   (11.22.10)
Jews deny that Muslims or Christians can possess any land for their own. Till the coming of Messiah to Judge the world's people, all the land is absentee land, that's Jewish land.
22. #13 answer to Omri ; )
Salma ,   Paletsine   (11.22.10)
I will answer your question HONESTLY, you're free to believe me or no, I and the majority of Palestinians don't have a problem with the Jews to live with us, my grandma told me always about her good Jewish neighbors, our problem is only with the Zionist & occupation.
23. to Matty Groves
David ,   Haifa Israel   (11.22.10)
hey matty they day i take advice from a bigoted terrorist loving thug like you... go to haaretz and post there. i will coexist with the neighbors who are not shooting rockets at me and gunning down pregnant women just fine. salma and nour have no home in israel. something tells me you are some coward who neverserved in the army spewing anti semitic trash nice and safe from his couch. go to haaretz... german owned anti semitic haaretz and post your one state comments there!
24. #22 if you dont have a problem with jews
Omri ,   Israel   (11.22.10)
living with you then how can you have a problem with zionism and accupation? If Jews live here how can you expect no zionism? If all the jews lived here under palastinian rule wouldn't you call THAT occupation? Feel free to criticize our country, in fact we do it all the time. Just don't go as far as not letting us run ourselves, we deserve it just like everyone else.
25. #21 nope
Omri ,   Israel   (11.22.10)
If you would read the Torah you will know that's not true and whoever told yo that is and ***. We believe only a small part of land called Israel is ours and if you look on the map you will see how ridiculously small this land is. Try to look at the amount of lands Arabs already have and notice this conflict isn't about land, its got other much larger reasons. But honestly were did you get that bull**** anyway?
26. #24 the problem is that you run yourselves and ourselves!
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.22.10)
The important thing is that you need to be aware you contradict yourself. Omri , You must educate yourself What does Occupation mean ?!!!!!!!!!!!!
27. #18
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.22.10)
The Arabs themselves admit that most "Palestinians" are not natives of Israel but Arab muslims who immigrated between 1920 and 1948 during the British occupation. During the British occupation, Salma's Lebanese father immigrated to Acco and Salma's Egyptian mother immigrated to Jerusalem. During the Arab's failed war to exterminate the Jews in 1948, Salma's parents went back to Lebanon, but were either forced to stay in the refugee camps by the Arab leaders, or simply chose to live a life of free food with no work. From their age, Salma and Nour are not refugees although they were probably born in the "refugee camps" set-up to invent and perpetuate a human tragedy. Salma has repeatedly stated that her dream is to reverse the tragedy of 1948 and exterminate the Jews of Israel.
28. :: David - #23
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (11.22.10)
I note that you do not dispute that you and/or your family are recent immigrants to the region. I also note that you are incapable of civil discourse as you revert to name calling and childish insults. With an attitude (insulting, arrogant, racist, etc ) such as yours I find it surprising that you might even entertain the notion that your neighbors might conceivably tolerate you!
29. #26 if you don't want us to rule over you
Omri ,   Israel   (11.22.10)
but still think its OK for us to have our own country then you aren't anti-Zionist you just criticize us. It's important to know the difference Slama, people that say they are anti-Zionists are people that DON'T agree to let us Jews have out own countries. And yes i know what occupation is and I also know what temporary occupation is.
30. referendum on golan and jerusalem
ed ,   reno, america   (11.22.10)
the last line of your article indicates that you think that the palestinians, europe and america will not approve of this law. the question is is this law for these people or for Israel. if you are making this law for Israel then it does not matter what these other people think. you should be more interested in what G-D thinks. i ask you one last question who is your G-D and does He have the power to deliver you, this is the question you need to answer. the answer will decide on whether you will stand or surrender to those who assail you!
