Bearing in mind that the modern state of Israel has only existed for 60 odd years and only has a minority population of Arabs, who are in fact Israeli citizens, it would be quite true to say that 'most Palestinians' are not Israeli natives.
As you know all people who were legally residing, or were born or naturalised, in British Mandate Palestine were made citizens of that region ie: they held British (Palestine) passports - this applied equally to Jews and Arabs alike.
Anyone with British Mandate Palestinian Citizenship and became a refugee (for whatever reason) is still considered a 'native' of Palestine, this also applied to their children even if they were born outside Palestine after their parents became refugees.

Syria never had sovereign over Golan before 48? because a bunch of settlers, less than 0.001% of the inhabitants stopped there as guests? or because the whole Palestine before 1920 was the Southern province of Syria? I think the world generally understands that the Jews need a homeland...a place for us to go when the world once again turns on us. We need this land, albeit very very tiny. We do not want to give up this tiny place. This place is very very special to us. Others are allowed to live in peace with us here. Why not let us have this place? Why must you deny our right to exist in peace here? Are you not happy living here with us? You are free to live without persecution elsewhere. Conquest and wars are a part of human history. What country hasn't had some form of conquest over another people in its past? History has proven that the Jew has been present in this land for a very very long time. Let us live here in peace under our own authority. We know you do not like others who are not like you. I am sorry about this. Someday you will have to learn to get over this, and learn that the Jew belongs here and that we will defend this land.
