The wall is believed to have been started by Herod to expand the Temple Mount (for 2nd Temple) in 19BC, then added to or rebuild even higher in the 7th century, with more added to height over the years. Only the first 7 rows of stone in the wall are in question, were they put there by Herod or later by Muslim reusing stones from other parts of Temple Mount. The problem is that to even question the wall's builder and timeline is a political firestorm.

My third grade daughter also hands in 5 page reports. I'm sure that this report was about the same level of depth and insight. Of course, by the time my daughter is in high school I'll see better quality work. I guess the author of this report has yet to pass matriculation.

even if the actual stones were placed by herrod, it was still clearly the temple mount complex, which is still the holiest site in Judaism. btw, have you gone to the tunnels next to the kotel plaza, the excavation there also clearly shows that this was the site of the complex. Recently I heard about a report that proved that Al-Aksa is not muslim but an old Christian church that was robbed by then nomadic muslims. The report is based on the interpretation of ancient scriptures and archaeological evidence. It is about time that the Christians get their property back and that the non-believers are driven from that place.
