1. Lotsa Wants - No Volunteers or Strategies
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (11.29.10)
Lotsa countries wanted the US to "Do something" about Iran. But nobody wanted to step up and offer either an exit strategy or volunteer to put boots on the ground. Not our Gulf Arab allies or anybody else. So Bush first, and now Obama both said "no."
2. How in the world.....
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (11.29.10)
can the media read "hundreds of thousands" of documents, analyze their contents, and write thoughtful reports about their contents -- all in a matter of a few hours? Useless journalism.
3. WikiLeaks = WikiBabble
MM ,   Jerusalem   (11.29.10)
Nothing new in these documents... Anyway, nothing that one couldn't figure out from carefully following the news out of Israel on a regular basis. So I don't really see what the fuss is all about
4. again nothing new !
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.29.10)
any way , "Shi'ite" Iran does not depend on the Arab countries that sold Palestine "Sunni" to protect it from any American or " Israeli" attack, and certainly the Iranians can only trust themselves and they're right..
5. US INTELLIGENSE - CRAP !!!.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (11.29.10)
According to the documents, some elements in the White House and State Department believed Israel overestimated the Iranian nuclear program and that its evaluations should be taken "with a grain of salt. " HAS THE US DIRECT AND EXACT INFORMATION ON THIS MATTER, FROM THE HIGHEST LEADERS IN IRAN ??? DO THE US REALLY BELIEVE , THAT WE BELIEVE, THEY HAVE EXACT INFORMATION, TO SUCH AN EXTENT ???. THE US IS DECEIVING HERSELF. Arn.
6. Feb. 11, 2010 Wikileaks: Pressure Israel on settlements
(11.29.10)
" The King appreciates the President's commitment to Middle East peace but is skeptical the U.S. can bring sufficient and sustained pressure to bear on Israel, especially regarding settlements. The King told General Jones that progress on Middle East peace was only possible if President Obama was willing to pressure Israel, and Saudi officials have rebuffed U.S. requests for confidence-building gestures to help restart negotiations."
7. The message in the wall
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (11.29.10)
Whoever doesn't want to see, simply doesn't see! USA foreign policy has been for decades based on good will. Obama is just the consequence of years of very bad info added to the fact that they are away from the problems. Result? Absolute lack of leadership, just Israeli politicians (not the people) believe in the USA!
8. Since Bushehr is supposedly on line,

and only generating electricicty, it's the only reactor that needs to be excluded in any potential attack.

Again stick to anti israel anti semitic german owned haaretz... on this paper.. real israelis post and we do not tolerate anti israel anti semitism of any shape of form. get that through your pointy white hat wearing head in texas... okay? go far away now.
10. Stuxnet
homer jones ,   nYc usa   (11.29.10)
I think some of Israel's warning on Iran were disinformation in order to cover up for Stuxnet. Remember Stuxnet was a WIP for probably over 2 years.

jason white ,   afula,israel   (11.29.10)
kissinger, falk, peres, falk, axelrod and the list goes on. These alleged jews are ready to destroy us to please their masters. Regrettably we have too many of these liberal anti Zionists who think that they know what is best for us or what is better for our enemies. We have to worry more about the enemy within than the enemy without.
12. Bush Reveals: I Ordered the Pentagon...
Norway   (11.29.10)
to Study a Strike on Iran: Former U.S. President George W. Bush has revealed in his new book "Decision Points" that he ordered the Pentagon to plan an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities and also considered a covert attack on Syria. “I directed the Pentagon to study what would be necessary for a strike. This would be to stop the bomb clock, at least temporarily.” “One thing is certain,” The Guardian quoted Bush as writing in his book. “The United States should never allow Iran to threaten the world with a nuclear bomb.” (INN, 11/10/10,). But the Nobel Peace Price winner, US President Barack H. Obama prefer to use the Iranian threat against Israel. White House links Iran nukes to Palestinian state: The Obama Administration did what Israelis have long feared and pleaded with the US to avoid when White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel linked the resolution of the Iran nuclear crisis to the creation of a Palestinian state. Ynet quoted Emanuel as insisting that the ability to confront Iran and reach a diplomatic solution over its defiant nuclear program was solely dependent on progress toward the birth of "Palestine." Israel now faces a moment of truth - it can either acquiesce to international demands and in return have its most serious threats dealt with, or maintain the status quo and have those threats persist. (Israel Today, May 04, 2009). Report: Obama leverages Iran to extract Israeli concessions: Obama appears to not see Iran's nuclear program as a threat to US security, and so feels free to use it as a bargaining chip to obtain concessions from Israel. (August 2, 2009, Israel Today). Obama about to betray Israel, says former intel official: A former top US intelligence official warns that the Obama Administration is about to break America's long ties of friendship with Israel, and maybe even take steps toward the dissolution of the Jewish state. "I have every reason to believe, based on what I’ve seen at my level of [security] clearance especially over the last several years, that Israel will soon be completely on their own… or worse." The Obama Administration is preparing to "provide more support to Arab countries [with] financial and military aid, undercutting Israel’s defense efforts all while pushing Israel to succumb to the pressure of unreasonable demands designed to end with their political annihilation as a nation," said the source. (Israel Today, March 19, 2009).
13. Any info in Wikileaks on STUXNET authors?
Avi ,   Geneva   (11.29.10)
Do diplomats not wonder who created and implanted the Stuxnet virus in Iran? Is there any clue as to whether it is Israel or the US or some other(s)? Does Stuxnet really exist, if not discussed by diplomats? These question are very important for journalists to ask - because Stuxnet is a paradigm change in international warfare...
14. 9 David - Dead Wrong as Usual - 2nd try
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (11.29.10)
I never mentioned Israel. Should I have? And what have you got against the New York Times? Too Jewish in its ownership for you? Who do you think owns a lot of the International Herald Tribune? I live nowhere near Texas - wrong as usual. Look up the Passamaquoddy and the Shinnecock Tribes.
15. Confusion
Marilyn ,   USA   (11.29.10)
Sometimes it's hard for Americans to understand Israel. One example is with the foreign workers. Sometimes with Israel there is like stop and go lights on at the same time and attempts to turn off one or the other light gets denied. So it's like people and things can just get lost in the confusion. However should people really get lost in the results of confusion of differing ideas? Probably not.
16. I absolutely agree with David

17. The Hypocrisy
Haider ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (11.29.10)
North Korea has the bomb and so does Pakistan and Indea. Now Iran has a "Nuke Program". We keep being reminded of all that at least once a week. Well, Israel has more than a hundred of them and nobody talks about that. WHY?
18. Kurtzer and Co
DT ,   TA Israel   (11.29.10)
Since the US never ever get it right and Kurtzer is the perfect product of such I would say then Israelis are therefore spot on .
19. Haider #17
David ,   Haifa Isael   (11.29.10)
cuz we have never threatened genocide like the iranians.
20. #17

25. An enormous co-sign to Mark at #1
Cameron ,   USA   (11.29.10)
They love to sneer, mock, and badmouth the Americans, but when affairs get heavy, they ALWAYS come running to the Cowboys to clean the problem up. Forever the same damn pattern, be they Israelis, Arabs, Europeans, or everyone else on the bloody planet. Time for others to start truly offering to commit their own blood & treasure up in these problems.
26. #4 stop whining
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.29.10)
When the US and Saudi paid Saddam to attack the Iranian people in the Iran-Iraq war, which included gas warfare and rockets on civilians, Fatah supported Saddam and even send combat units to murder Persians. Now you want them to help you?
27. #17
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.29.10)
Israel never signed the NPT so we can develop what we want. Like the Indians, we are smart enough to develop nukes ourselves. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran all signed the NPT which means they receive aid in exchange for not developing nukes.
28. # 25 Cameron
(11.29.10)
Sorry, but that's total b.s. Israel doesn't ask the U.S. to fight its wars. All they want is for us to stay the hell out of their way. And when they took out the Osirak reactor, who was the beneficiary of that audacious attack? We were, during the Gulf War and the elder George Bush, along with some of his anti-Israel cabal didn't even the decency to appreciate it. Also, contrary to what most of the knee-jerk anti-Israel knuckle draggers believe, Israel was against the U.S. going to war against Iraq and Ariel Sharon himself warned George Bush it would come back to bite us on the butt by emboldening the Iranians as a power in the region. Also, not a single America soldier has ever died fighting a war for Israel. In fact, if anything, Israelis were fighting proxy wars for America when the Soviet Union was the patron saint of Israel's Arab enemies.
29. NR 5 - FURTHER -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (11.29.10)
-IF IRAN INDEED HAS ONE COVERED NUCLEAR PROGRAM, WHICH IS SERTAIN - THEY COULD HAVE SEVERAL SUCH PROGRAMS, AND THOSE INVOLVED IN THEM, DOES NOT KNOW OF EACH OTHER. AND THE US ASSURE US THERE IS YET TIME FOR DIPLOMACY AND SANCTIONS TO BITE- WHAT AN SELFDECEIVED FOOL THE US HAS BECOME. Arn..
30. According to wikileaks, Israel was correct all along
William ,   Israel   (11.30.10)
So, while the US believed Israel was overestimating the genocidal Mullahs, it turns out that the US was underestimating them.
