...so I guess we negotiate with Hamas. Mazel tov. We have peace in a single day.
2. Hamas
Ezra ,   Florida   (12.01.10)
Hanyiah: You can take your kind of "peace" and shove it, you arch murderer And you ynet stop giving stage to the Haniyas, the Assads, the Ahmadinajads and the Erdogans of the world an international stage to spea their venom on Israel. His "peace proposal" has nothing new in it and just playing bad and deafening music in our ears.
3. Possitive move needed...Free Schallit !

4. Well it is some movement
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (12.01.10)
Does it mean that is there is a peace deal and it is decided that the refugees will go to their new country he will honor that? To quote Haniyeh "the resolution of the issue of refugees," , what does that mean? Israel is not going to accept 2-3 million people who consider themselves refugees. So what then? The fact that the UN changed the definition of what a refugee is, and this has only been done once in the UN's history, for the Palestinians. The UN stated if an Arab lived in Palestine for just 2 years the Arab was a Refugee. This bizarre change in the definition was pushed through by the Arab majority in the UN. But proves beyond a shadow of doubt that they were really just immigrants from other countries. Not an indigenous people, unless 2 years makes you indigenous.
5. Obviously empty words....read what he said:
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (12.01.10)
"...provided it included all Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank and abroad." Sure. For the first time in history the Palestinians will conduct a referendum across four dozen countries. Not. It ain't gonna happen. There's no such thing as a world-wide referendum. Not yet. And the Palestinians are not going to be the first ones to do it. They can't even hold an election in their own backyard - already more than two years overdue. Hamas has not changed. Haniya is simply stating something that in his mind would never happen anyway, but it sounds great for the sucker journalists and EU diplomats who will take it at face value.
6. haniyeh's latest
alexi   (12.01.10)
Remember that truth are lies are thruths in moslem theology. Hamas is not as blatant as fatah but they stil lie. Watch the weaklings crawl out of their holes, beilin who th emoron barak appointed as his foreign miinister could not protect a fly. That he shook hand with the PLo in geneva over a bad deal for israel is nothing new for beilin. He like olmert is beset by fear and should not be anywhere in position of power. No 67 borders are out.UN resolution does not say all territories relative to security. So Israel will take Jordan valley border, the fence, and all the settlements with no roadway across israel . For suggesting that link, olmert can burn in jail which is where he is headed in spite of the fact that court wants to protect him. Jerusalem will remain united. Arabs will have another choice. All of them can go to Jordan which is 3/4 of mandated palestine.
7. 1967 borders?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.01.10)
Sure. The borders on June 11, 1967! That said -- let's see Hamas honor their stated word. Should be no problem for Hamas to: (i) repudiate its charter calling for the destruction of the State of Israel and the extermination of the Jews; (ii) recognize the right of the State of Israel to exist in its ancient homeland; (iii) acknowledge the unique identity of the State of Israel as a Jewish state; (iv) repatriate Corporal Gilad Shalit as a gesture of good faith; and (v) immediately put an end to all missile attacks on Israeli civilian populations.
8. so, thats big stuff from haniyeh... !
eporue ,   europe   (12.01.10)
everyone is moving, flexible, showing tolerance and understanding... !!! the US and europe will to take on the "hope-issue": they have to enforce the negotiations, and guarantee all parties support in security, economy, stability. nobody will be left alone. not now and not later. why to wait, why to spill more blood, why generating more hatred...? its useless, and leads to nothing good. everyone is ready to go for an agreement... we only have to get sara netanyahu into the boat as well...
9. ısraeli international criminal network.
buplon ,   TURKEY   (12.01.10)
10. "A softening of Hamas's longstanding position"?

11. Palestinian people will say big NO to abandon Palestine
Salma ,   Palestine   (12.01.10)
and a big YES for Peace ; -)
12. how long will you honour the agreement for?
zionist forever   (12.01.10)
Assuming the unthinkable happened and Abbas stopped acting like a spoilt child agreed to talk unconditionally and we even managed to reach an agreement and created a palestinian state what happens next for Hamas? What will they say if Israel refuses to allow a right of return. Will the agree that once this arab state is created it will be an end to any future territorial ambitions? Will they change their charter? Will they return to terror everytime things are not going their own way or they don't like Israeli policies? This speech is for Obamas ears, he has already said that if Hamas join a unity government with Fatah the US will officially recognise Hamas and include them in peace talks. They know Obama is a naive idiot who will believe any bullshit an arab tells him especially if they include the P word so they want to tell him all the things he wants to hear to get him on their side. All arabs are like Obama & Clinton they will promise one thing when they want something but you ask them to put it into writing then they suddenly decide that they didn't actually mean all the things they had previously promised.

The man is an islamofascists. Remember in Islam it is perfectly acceptable to lie to the infidels. This man is a terrorist liar. Nothing more to talk about. Don't step into his lying trap Israel, and avoid any nation or politician who gives this a second thought. Answer him with something he understands. An ultimatum! handala ,   jerusalem/palestine   (12.01.10)
all your points can be done when your government retreat from our land, except one part which is about jewish state, you can call your state what ever you want but we will not recognize israel as a jewish state, we will recognize israel as a state, you can change the name of israel to the jewish state of israel and we will recognize your state under this name.
21. It doesn't matter what you call the borders
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL/USA   (12.01.10)
Palestinian's still won't honor them They ignored the borders defined under the UN Partition plan, preferring to attack Israel instead Subsequent borders were agreed to at Rhodes in '49 (Greenline) aka/ pre'67 Borders, which the Arabs violated in '56 when Nasser closed the Suez & Straits of Tiran to Israeli shipping Next disregard of the borders was when Syria, Egypt & Jordan, mounted another war in 1967, resulting in the post '67 borders, which the Arabs bittlerly resent, because of the loss of massive amounts of land they were responsible for losing No matter what the borders were called, as far as the Arabs were and are concerned, they're to be disregarded at anytime it's in their interests
22. Will wonders never cease ?
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL/USA   (12.01.10)
Haniyeh, will accept a Peace Deal that he is dictating that Israel must to agree to
23. "NO" to any agreement with the jews!!!
Nour, One-State   (12.01.10)
24. NO such thing as "palestinians"
Jordan = Fakestan   (12.01.10)
on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here's what he said: The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.

27. Refugees
Dan ,   chicago, USA   (12.01.10)
Good to know Hamas is now peaceful. Glad that's all settled. Speaking of the refugee problem, does that include the 850,000 Jewish refugees who fled from their homes in Muslim countries, and who's children now make up the majority of Israel's population? In short, most Israelis are refugees. Any of them getting their homes back?
