I am hard pressed to understand what Ms. Horing is suggesting Obama do to stop Iran's nuclear program. Israel's own military has told us they do not know where all Iran's nuclear facilities are. Some are buried in mountains which even bunker busting bombs could not penetrate. Even a joint military bombing campaign would at best only delay by a maximum of two years the bomb development. Iran is already self sufficient in terms of materials to build the bomb. A military attack would put Middle East oil flow in jeopardy in a shaky world economy , US troops in jeopardy, US citizens traveling abroad in jeopardy. Does MS. Horing assume there will be no retaliation from Iran and it's surrogates on the US and Israel? If Israel thought it could take out all Iran's redundant nuclear facilities it would have done it long ago. What is the point of this article?

What many in Israel and apparently a lot of people in the US don't understand is that the US military cupboard is bare. Iraq and Afghanistan have strained the US military to the breaking point. And the US no longer has even the credit to expand to another war front. The new people in Congress won't tax anybody to come up even with current operating funding for current US wars and China won't loan the US the money to destroy its ongoing supply of oil. That is objective reality. If there are hidden sites somebody has to search them out. A single strike will not even find such sites.
