7. tonight from Alaska, good wishes and prayers for Israel
Tia   (12.03.10)
I found out about this fire tonight while sitting in a very, very remote place in Alaska. The phone rang, a few words exchanged, then the hostess returned to tell us about Israel's fires. These people so far away had stopped their evening activities to share the news of concern for Israel so far away--a nation we love dearly. Hang in there, we are with you Israel!
8. Fires
Marilyn ,   USA   (12.03.10)
It's well kind of embarassing that we're not there. We have so many fires in the west, that we must be kind of good at fighting them. Also it is also part of our history with conscientious objectors doing smoke jumping and many other stories about fires throughout the years. I'm sure that firefighters from here would be happy to go, however here sometimes things get confused or lost or tangled so that the government has trouble switching into emergency mode effectively.
9. Better to dig fire lines and let the fire burn itself out.
Rivkah   (12.03.10)
Sea water will put salt in the soil. Who knows what else will be sprayed over the land? Bill Gates pays for toxic chemicals to be sprayed over cities and hinterlands like barium, aluminum, mycoplasms and other funguses. It's good for business for his pals in the pharmaceutical and medical industry to make people sick. Dr. Len Horowitz filed a brief with the FBI he was so concerned about toxic sprayings from airplanes of mycoplasms that when combined with a mutated virus from flu vaccines such as the H1N1 vaccine can cause 24 hour black lung death like in the Ukraine.
10. The homes that fires do little damage to are those homes
Rivkah   (12.03.10)
that are painted with NO BURN paint or are geodesic steel framed cement homes with any flammable parts painted with NO BURN. California fires burn circles around homes painted with NO BURN paint. This must be done in advance with forethought, considering the possibility of rocket attacks as well as arson fires.
11. This fire is a good wake up call for many nations to prepare
Rivkah   (12.03.10)
for the naptha (petroleum) fires that will occur all around the world when Planet X (Nibiru, Orchus) passes by in a couple of years. It has naphtha in its tail and passes by the earth every 3600 years in its eliptical orbit around the sun. There are photos on the internet NASA released in 2009 on You Tube. The Gorilla 199 presentation of Planet X, Nibiru shows an icy blue planet with a firey tail. The icy part will send huge hail stones toward the earth and the tail which will be toward the earth as it passes will cause fires all over the earth. The Scriptures say a third of the green trees on earth will burn up and that might be when Nibiru passes by. Scriptures also talks about hundred pound hail stones and destroying winds that are also likely from Nibiru. The destroying winds may also be atomic war, but that causes fires, too. Get ready. Paint with NO BURN. Paint, paint, paint houses, cars, buses, trucks. Sand down the finish on vehicles, spray on NO BURN. Let dry. Sand a little more and spray with automotive paint the color desired. A couple of Hispanic farmworkers did that for us on our vehicles and an old RV and my husband painted the house inside the attic and garage and outside with NO BURN years ago. The Hispanic workers sanded and painted the vehicles in an empty lot the owner let us use for that. No great expense other than for the paint and the workers which was far less than Maaco would charge.

Lisa   (12.03.10)
Israel is NOT alone- it never was- other countries might not agree with your politics- but this disaster is about people. My condolences to the families of the victims. Shabbat Shalom and Happy Hanukah
16. #1 David , Take care.
Salma ,   Palestine   (12.03.10)
17. Ireland didn't send anything?
Andrew Brehm   (12.03.10)
The Rothschilds helped Ireland during the potato famine. But Ireland's support for us is limited to shipments of expired medications and other trash to Gaza. Thanks to Britain, Bulgaria, the US, Turkey (!), Egypt and others for sending help. Israel is always first to help others and it's good to see that for once others are helping Israel. G-d has been with Israel this year.

22. Fires In Israel.
Kevin Ryan ,   Castlebar, Co. Mayo   (12.03.10)
Andrew, our sympathies and condolences to the people of Israel during this natural catastrophe, however at this current moment in time, Ireland is experiencing its worst winter snowfall in many years, travel in the country is severely restricted, Airports closed, roads blocked etc..etc.. Also we are not a country that has much in the way of water bomber planes, or helicopters designed for this type of work, possible due to our having a very high yearly rainfall so your expectations about help from Ireland may be a little misplaced.
23. thanks to any country that help us with this nightmare
david ,   t.a   (12.03.10)

Not the right place to say that.
25. to 17 - Andrew Brehm
Europe   (12.03.10)
Ireland has almost no woods, a rainy climate and therefore, I suppose, no fire-fighting planes or related technology. What do you expect Ireland to send? Some wet blankets?
26. Today for the UK - many prayers for Israel

hermin ,   Haifa, Israel   (12.03.10)
Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Egypt, Jordan, France, Croatia, Bulgaria, Russia, Italy and USA: us, the people of Israel, would really appreciate if you could extend your help and give us 12 points in the next Eurovision contest.
30. think twice (actually once)
Hermin ,   Haifa, Israel   (12.03.10)
do you really think that these is friendly help?! there is nothing like a free meal, my gullible fellow citizen. This "friends" are sending the stuff looking for short and long term earnings. Try and piece the puzzle: what would better serve Erdogan than sending some symbolic chopper? They all play "afuch al afuch"...Go WikiLeaks
