Abbas knows good and well that if a peace deal is ever signed Israel will allow the Palestinians to have their raciest state and will evacuate out the Jews living there while being forced to keep the Arabs living here. The Arabs call Palestinians Arab but they don't treat them, in the same way that Jews treat other Jews. Arab is only a term to someone that speaks arabic as a first language but arabs themselves are as divided as the koreas and even worse. Just remember how Jordan fought the Palestinians in the Jordanian Civil War. Or How the Lebanese treated them or how Kuwait kicked them out. Till this day most Arab countries won't give Palestinians citizenship in their countries. So its not the same thing. Palestinians end up paying for it from both sides and don't get compensated from either side. They are like the Pawns in the middle. In my opinion if Palestinians stop calling themselves Arab and stop asking for help from the Arab nations, they will be way better off.
