31. #6, 21 - more "facts" from "observer"s rear orifice
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (12.10.10)
Still you gotta admire his diligence inventing all this rubbish.
32. where's the promised land? Still here last time I checked..
mic ,   Israel   (12.10.10)
But, we wandered 40 years in Midian which is now Saudia Arabia. Where Jethro lived before we entered the Promised Land. That's why there are no signs in the Sinai. mic.
33. WHY WOULD THEY
Mark from Gerogia ,   USA   (12.10.10)
The fact is the Arabs that live in Israel have more freedom than in any of their neighboring countries. The Arabs that want a new country are involved in a civil war between Fatah and Hamas. Both can be brutal to each other. As noted by Mosab Hassan Yousef better known as the "Son of Hamas", his Dad was the co-founder of Hamas, found out the truth. That his own people, specifically Hamas was much more brutal to his fellow Arabs than the Israeli's. It sickened him and he converted to Christianity. A crime punishable by death according to the Koran. While he was in jail...as an Israeli prisoner... he became appalled how the Arab prisoner's treated other Arab prisoner's that didn't agree or go along with Hamas. In addition while spying for Israel he realized Israel took more precautions not to hurt innocent civilians than Hamas, his Father's group. In fact Hamas targeted innocent civilians without regard to what harm it did not only to Hamas enemies, but did not care what collateral damage was done to his own people. Disgusted by this he just left the country, of course they wanted him dead for spying as well. So the mart Arabs want to stay part of Israel, a free country, with much less corruption and a better more reliable legal system. It only makes sense.
34. Israeli Arabs
Lioness ,   Israel   (12.10.10)
Israeli Arabs have helped their palestinian brethren and perform acts of terror and support them, it would only be fitting for them to join them in a PA state
35. anyone want
David ,   Haifa Israel   (12.10.10)
anyone israeli truly want to live with a muslim? not me. get rid of them all and the quality of life will improve. as for the terrorist salma... imprison or deport her to gaza with nour.
36. #5 Are you out of your mind
Akko, Israel   (12.10.10)
Akko happens to maintain a 70% Jewish majority. The very fact that you imagine a Palestinian Akko is ridiculous and as a resident of the city I can tell you the "Palestinian" identifying Arabs are pretty non-existent. Much like the study suggests, an Arab receiving the benefit and protection of the State of Israel wouldn't in their right mind agree to be "repatriated"
37. to 10
hardy ,   melnik, czechland   (12.10.10)
Please Salma, donĀ“t play dumb.
38. To Salma no. 10
dotty ,   gilgil, kenya   (12.10.10)
Then let the palestinians fully abide with the rules and regulations of ISRAEL or else pack their camels and get lost.
39. Living in Peace
wiseman ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.10.10)
Peace can be achieved if Israel does the following: 1. Teach Judaism to ALL Jews in Israel, all Jews in Israel must learn Torah in school, all schools must have a synangogue in the school, learn halacha, etc. 2. Annex all areas liberated in 1967 war such as Judea, Samaria, Gaza. And stop talking about giving away Jewish "land for peace" to the Arabs. 3. Transfer Arabs from Yesha to Jordan, because Jordan is their country. Transfer "Israeli" Arabs who don't recognize Israel and who want to live in an Arab state. Arabs who transfer voluntarily should be given financial assistance to help them move to Jordan. The reason Jews are in Israel is because it's written in the Torah. If you want peace, ALL Jews in Israel must live according to the Torah, which means observing Shabbat, Kashrut, etc.
40. #30 You are right
Susan Kfar Saba   (12.10.10)
I am married to a North African Jew. Don't call him or his family Arabs, they will get very insulted. Coming from an Arab country doesn't make a person one. In my area, near Kfar Saba there are a lot of moshavim where the people are all mizrachim, so many did work in agriculture. One moshav might be all Libyan, another all Yeminite. Where #6 is wrong, is that most have moved up into the middle class. The young people now a days, including my own kids, are going to college and getting professions. Yes, life was hard for their grandparents(as it often is for first generation immigrants), who arrived here with their suitcases, but it is much better now. Also, a lot of the ashkenazim who also came with nothing after WWII, got compensation from Germany which put them into the middle class a lot sooner.
41. THEY ARE OUR BROTHERS
Ricardo Macher ,   Karne Shomron IL   (12.10.10)
We have to join Arab-Israelis in their fight to stay with us. They remained in the country and showed readiness to side with us during wars. It is our duty to receive them warmly.
42. # 30
Birdi ,   Israel   (12.10.10)
Susan with all due respect, the Ashkenazim did get compensation from Germany after World War 11, but after quite a long time after they had arrived in Israel with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
43. tell Obama he can have a freeze in exchange for land transfe
zionist forever   (12.10.10)
If Obama want his freeze tell him he can have it the only price is he puts in writing that he will endorse a land transfer that involves trading arabs in Israel. Short of the likes of Meretz most politicians on the left & right who are in favour of the two state idea want a land transfer that involves trading the arab triangle. If we do create an arab state at some point then Israel should gets some kind of reward for it and that means transfer the arabs who define themselves as palestinians and have no loyalty to Israel anyway.
44. "land transfer" is about 200 years away for coonsideration
Moshe ,   Netanya   (12.10.10)
Perhaps in 200 years Arabs will consider a portion of Tel Aviv (Ramat Aviv), and Jews will consider Eastern "falestin" in exchange. Most Arabs told me that they want to go to Saudi Arabia or Tel Aviv (when I speak to them in Arabic).
45. What the Left wants for Arabs
Michael ,   Jerusalem   (12.10.10)
Is not necessarily what Arabs want for themselves. What the Left really wants is to feel good about itself at the cost of others' peace.
46. #30 u don't examine history prospectively but retrospectivel
observer   (12.10.10)
47. 72% of us support Obama's mediation?
Lenny Tone ,   Ashland, USA   (12.10.10)
I've never met one that does. This poll is fallacious.
48. #10 - actually, no one would leave their homes
William ,   Israel   (12.10.10)
Just their address would change... from "Umm al-Faqm, Israel" to "Umm al-Faqm, Palestine" Except, the national services from Israel would cease on that day, and the police, firefighting, and phone services would be sourced from the "Palestinians" instead. This doesn't meet the definition of "Population transfer" or "ethnic cleansing". It's call land swap...for peace (its what you want, right?) and plenty of historical precedents support the action.
49. #21 - and there are plenty of archeologists that support
William ,   Israel   (12.10.10)
the Exodus story, along with proof from Egypt and as far away as Crete. In other ancient texts, battles between Israelites and Canaanites, Mideonites, and Philistines are well documented. Your only sources have been Ilan Pappe, Finkelstein, Chomsky, or State-sponsored Arab "academics". None of these hold any real objectivity or credibility.
50. #41 - when have Arabs sided with Israel during wars?
William ,   Israel   (12.10.10)
Maybe you mean the Druze and the Bedouins. But the majority of Israeli Arabs did not side with Israel, and many vocally denounced Israel. Don't you remember them crying "racism" during Cast Lead, but not a word when Sderot was bombed daily. Many of them celebrated attacks on Israel, including by Hizbullah, despite getting hit with Nasrallah's rockets. How many of them not only celebrated but helped light the fires that rages across Israel last week? How many spied for Hizbullah, aided Fatah and Hamas terrorists? I'm not saying that all Israeli Arabs are this way, but per capita, many of those who despise Israel live in the Triangle region which includes Umm Al-Faqm. Don't you remember when residents of Umm Al-faqm killed a Bezeq repairman who came to fix Arab telephones? The firemen they stoned when called to the city? The riots they caused in support of "Palestinian" terrorists in 2002?
51. #36 - I agree. I remember when Arafat asked Arabs to join
William ,   Israel   (12.10.10)
Arabs in Haifa, Akko, and Jisr al-Zarqa told him to go to hell. Residents of Umm al-faqm and Jaffa obliged him.
52. lie and propaganda
jaime ,   spain   (01.13.14)
No words to see this ugly proof of how many lies US and zionism can invent to justify more stealing of lands. And apart of the poll trustability coming from that side, who can believe palestinians in Israel can express their ideas freely, when they can go to prison for years without charges? As a inmediate consequence of being a "jewish state", israel, the zionist experiment, is a racist and apartheid state both for palestinians in 48 stolen lands and in 67 stolen lands
