1. No negotiation
ezer   (12.11.10)
Israel should refuse to negotiate until Pals first publicly accept the Jewish state.
2. start with recognizing Israel
Dana Rothschild ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.11.10)
as the Jewish State!!!!
3. Palis are more concerned about being right than being happy.
(12.11.10)
4. Ha ha very funny
homer jones ,   nYc usa   (12.11.10)
Abbas you had 10 months. You wasted it. Bye bye. Have fun in oblivion. You won't even be a footnote in history!
5. it must be nice to be a palestinian
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (12.11.10)
i wonder how it feels to be a complete failure at everything, even do morally perverse atrocities, and it never ever be my fault. not responsible for a single thing i do, able to pass the blame to others, pointing the finger elsewhere for things i myself do that make my life an embarrassing disaster. i wouldn't know about that, it's just interesting to see that there are actually people that live and think this way. pity.
6. Ah Lord, the talkbacks gonna be good on this one
Cameron ,   USA   (12.11.10)
7. Asking Jews, only because they are Jewish, to refrain from..
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (12.11.10)
...leading normal life and construct their homes in certain villages, towns and even city neighborhoods anywhere on earth, but especially in the Jewish people's historic homeland, is a form of racism, applied anti-Jewish racism. Sadly, we, Jews, have gained much experience in this "department" over the centuries. But we hoped that the 21st century will usher an end to anti-Jewish racism. We have been wrong!
8. Pa to Clinton
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (12.11.10)
Why should the US blame Israel? Pa refused to talk during the previous bulding freeze. The Pa and US have only themselves to blame. Obama by calling even Jerusalem a settlement only made things worse and the PA for climbing up that tree too. Israel as given way to much over all these years and it always comes back to bite us in the butt. It's time for the PA to give, including taking on Hamas in Gaza. As for Obama, may he be a one term President because he is a lousy one, like Carter
9. arabs talk about peace
anon ,   johannesburg   (12.11.10)
Arabs talk about peace, life and prosperty in English. While in Arabic they talk of war, death & distruction.
10. EU & UN OK with Arab wars on Israel
Paul Freedman ,   Falls Church, USA   (12.11.10)
EU and UN obsession with the Green line demarcation separation between Israel and the Arab armies in 1948 give a pass on the wars of extermination the Arabs intended against the Jewish state since then, as if the Arabs have the right to as many tries as they wish to destroy a UN member state, whether in 1967 or 1973 or in the Al Asqa intifadah, and if they fail, then the world goes back to prattling about "international legality" as if the wars of agression had not occurred. Although the nations of the world may hypocritically criticize Israel for not allowing itself to be exterminated, Israel must stand for international morality. The Arabs and their hypocritical sponsors in collaborationist Quisling Europe cannot reset the clock every time jihad launched against the Jewish state fails to achieve its goals.
11. HOW PATHETIC!!!
David ,   Haifa Israel   (12.11.10)
they blame all but themselves. a pathetic refugee group. they should all go home to jordan and egypt... leave us in peace. they waited 9 months of a 10 month freeze and only complained. our fault!!! i think not. "Arabs never mis an opportunity to miss an opportunity." -Abba Eban
12. A stupid game
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (12.11.10)
If this was for real, the Arabs would be blamed for not negotiating (at the very least during the 10 months of Netanyahu's racist freeze) and Clinton would be blamed for not getting a new freeze (by refusing to give Netanyahu her bribes in writing). But is not for real. Clinton is getting revenge on the Jews for her humiliation by destablizing Israel (why is she plotting with Livni and Barak instead of negotiating with Israel's government?) and delegitimizing Israel (by not blaming the Arabs for not negotiating). The Arab don't have to do anything because with each passing day of the racist freeze, they are building more houses and stealing more land. Barak and Livni both are sucking up to Clinton, hoping she will install them as Israel's next Prime Minister. The only mystery is Netanyahu. It seems he wants historians to argue whether he was a liar who stole Likud votes to implement Obama's plan, or a helpless and weak loser. As his Brother in Law said two weeks ago, Netanyahu failed and should at least save his dignity by resigning.
13. Poor babies
Nachman ,   maale Adumim Israel   (12.11.10)
Noter they're not upset the talks have not restarted only that the US has not blamed Israel. Let's be frank it was stupid Obama who forced the freeze on Israel, failed to force the Palestinians into talks for 9 months and then realised that the Palestinians were no way ready to agree to the concessions necessary for peace even if israel agreed to a three month freeze. So who is to blame - certainly not Israel but of course that's not what you will hear.
14. jesus
mohson   (12.11.10)
jesus is the best word that tells of the exasperation at how so called palestinians look at negotiations: Blame the other side, they kill us, they are wrong, they won't make concessions in advance,e ven if they do, its not enough. No to this, no to that. The US is wrong not to blame israel. Jesus- how can one negotiate anything with them. The palestinians may have talked themselves into nationhood, but the truth is that they are the foreign interlopers who moved into the jewish homeland which preceded any so called arab nation. They are all rant and rave, tell lies, and even if a deal were struck, the next phase would begin with hamas kassems and mortar. There is no end as the naive barak, olmert, livni think. The solution is found in the wilders speech-move all of them to Jordan over time and I think they could move freely. Rabbo, ashrawi, khalidi, rajoub, dhalan, abbas, they all specialize in one area-bluff and bullst.
15. The 3 No's
Abu Yussef al Yahudi ,   Bue.Aires_Argentina   (12.11.10)
Bravo Bibi: The answer of Israel, must be the three NO´s: NO to the partition of Jerusalem NO to the building freeze in the W.Bank NO to an unfriendly State in the heart of Israel.
16. # 7 This form of racism is perpetuated mostly by Barack
Deb ,   Harrisburg, PA   (12.11.10)
Hussein Obama and his Secretary of State, Mrs. Clinton, none of whom has ever been known as a "lover of Jews".
17. Blah blah blah Pal violence hasn't stopped, why should we?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (12.11.10)
Hey Hanan Ashrawi - we'll make you a deal. Our construction will be at the same level as your attacks on Israelis. I'll make it plain and simple for you to understand: If the Palestinians stop all violence, then we'll stop all construction. Easy one, huh? But that means not just no rockets and no suicide bombers, but no shootings, no knifings, no mortars from Gaza, no throwing rocks and molotov cocktails at cars, no car bombs, no bombs on the border fence. You just tell hold the press conference and I guarantee CNN and the BBC and Al Jazeera will be there to hear your monumental announcement that the Palestinians are finally going to honor their commitments and stop violence in order to make peace. You will have 85% or more of the Israeli electorate supporting you, and Bibi will have no choice but to stop construction totally. And heck, I'm a "settler" and even I'll support it! However, for every rocket and mortar bomb from Gaza we'll build of 20 homes and a kindergarten. For every rock and molotov cocktail thrown, another housing permit is issued. And if there's a suicide bombing or fatal shooting or one of those rockets or mortars that are sure to come from Gaza kill anybody, then the deal is off. I suspect your buddies in Hamas and Jihad and the DFLP and the PFLP and the Al Qaeda thugs will give you about 10 minutes before they open fire. If you want peace, then show us. Honor your signed commitments to stop violence.
18. Oh go to the UN already, and shut your mouths
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (12.11.10)
19. Palestinian childish!
Gab's ,   Montreal, Canada   (12.11.10)
62 years of talking, no results! Can't never make a deal, each time Israel gave a chance to palestinians into talks, they always find a new excuse, enough of this bs, from now on Israel should insist before any talks, Palis MUST recognise ISRAEL as A JEWISH STATE. Am Israel Hai
20. For Palestinians Denial si Bliss
reality check ,   zion   (12.11.10)
Do the palestinians think that repeating that they will never recongize Israel as Jewish or issuing reports that deny the Jewish relatonship to the Kotel are factors in Israel's hard line. How about constantly demanding the right of return that they will never get ... think that is a deal killer. Reality is that the Plaestinians are simply in denial egged on by the EU, the UN and the other arab states who see Israel as a religous war. when the palestinians get serious about the impact their words have on the peace process maybe then some of us will see Israel's hard line differently. For now abbas and his team need to face up, they latched on to a worthless issue, settlements, then they made demands no one would give in to and at the same threw gas on the fire. But in their warped world they think everyone should blame Israel. This is why peace talks go no where .. the palestinians demands are too absurd to deal with by any other means than ignoring them.
21. In other words "US to blame for not forcing Israel..."
William ,   Israel   (12.11.10)
to meet every one of our demands before we return to negotiations with a new list of demands. From the election of Obama, the "Palestinians" thought they would have a green light to get all they want without concessions of any kind. and they failed...again. Still, instead of the righteous path of joining negotiations and making concessions, the PA curses the US, makes threats of violence, threats of dissolving the PA, and spends 110% of their time garnering support in the UN for their ill-conceived actions...all to circumvent the very thing they will have to do one day - sit with Israel and negotiate in good faith. Like an unruly child, the world must just keep telling the "Palestinians" NO so they just behave.
22. what planet is Ashrawi from?
Alexander ,   NJ USA/Israel   (12.11.10)
"How can we believe them (the Americans) if they couldn't get Israel to restrain settlement building?" well the same way Israeli's believe you after you go out killing them...
23. How can we believe you Ahrawi when...
David H ,   South Africa   (12.11.10)
You and your colleagues have such a dismal record and history of lies, lies, lies and obfuscation?
24. palistinians want recognition yet abolsoluty refuse...
Galut ,   Selah   (12.12.10)
to recognize ISRAELs right to exist... called one sided negotiation - you give we don't have to give... one day the lord our God will use his sword to rightly divide....
25. the "west Bank" is Israeli by law
Golan ,   Modiin   (12.12.10)
international law established that not only is all the cis-Jordan Israeli but also the trans-Jordan
26. Pals are feigning disappointment. They just love the
Harry Wright   (12.12.10)
status quo. They are so happy that the coaxing and prodding to go to the table has eased up. That just extended Abbas' life by ten years and he can now throw away his high blood pressure pills. Yippee!
27. A different solution...u r sure to dislike :)
Christian Hart ,   USA   (12.12.10)
Israel could grant right of return to the 10 tribes...I know it would be a mess at first, with an influx of MANY different cultures and millions of people...but at least your 'new' neighbors would LIKE you (aka not try to blow you up at the drop of a hat) since they are your brothers. They would have a very vested interest in seeing a functional and prosperous Israeli state born...and you wouldn't even CONSIDER giving up any land because there would be millions of people arriving suddenly, ready to build Israel into a regional power. If nothing else, it is one more negotiating trick to pull out of your hat perhaps the last resort but you never know...it just might be the best idea yet for Israel.
28. Do Arabs ever blame themselves for anything?
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.12.10)
It must be hard being so freak'n perfect all the time. Israel this, Jews that, EU this, America that... If you want a country, try taking some responsibility for something for a change. Your finger pointing is getting really tiring.
29. Israel gives nothing unless they get more in return
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (12.12.10)
Why should Israel agree to any peace deal while they gain more in status quo and US blocking any UN actions. The settlers are getting subsidized cost of living, cheap/free land and US Jewish groups helping to pay for building costs. The PA has little to offer and Arab League is too weak right now with Iran's growing influence. While long term Israel is playing a dangerous game but right now it hold most the cards.
30. What else is new?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.12.10)
The ersatz "Palestinians" never take responsibility for anything. It's always someone else's fault, isn't it? Until they learn to take ownership of their incredibly bad choices, they will continue exactly in the same path, which has led them only to disaster. Until they learn that some mistakes simply cannot be made whole, they are destined for a future identical to their past. Oh well. Once a violent terrorist rabble, always a violent terrorist rabble. It's time to let them ply their trade in Jordan. We neither need nor want them. They really HAVE worn out their welcome pretty much everywhere. It's time to sanction their departure from Judea and Samaria, too.
