11. The Islamic claim to Jerusalem is false
ilan ,   nazareth   (12.12.10)
The Islamic claim to Jerusalem is false There were no mosques in Jerusalem in 632 c.e. at the death of Muhammad... Jerusalem was [then] a Christian-occupied city In the days of Muhammad, who died in 632 of the Common Era, Jerusalem was a Christian-occupied city within the Byzantine Empire. Jerusalem was captured by caliph Omar only in 638 c.e., six years after Muhammad's death. Throughout all this time there were only churches in Jerusalem, and a church stood on the Temple Mount, called the Church of Saint Mary of Justinian, built in the Byzantine architectural style 'In the Book of Raids, early Muslim historian and biographer Waqidi described Muhammads stay in the village of Jiranah a few miles outside Mecca. He wrote: The Prophet arrived in Jiranah on Thursday, and remained 13 nights. He then departed Jiranah after praying at the Al-Aqsa Mosque located on the shore of the river bed. The Prophet used to pray there whenever he came to Jiranah.'
12. -Ibn Khaldun one of the most creditable Arab historians,
ilan ,   nazareth   (12.12.10)
-Ibn Khaldun (Arabic: أبو زيد ولي الدين عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن خلدون الحضرمي)- one of the most creditable Arab historians, in 1377 c.e. wrote: "Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel extended over 1400 years... It was the Jews who implanted the culture and customs of the permanent settlement". "In the East, however, crafts have established themselves since the days of ancient Persian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Israelite, Greek and Roman rule". [Ibid., p 55] in The 13th century Arab biographer -Yaqut ibn-'Abdullah(Arabic: ياقوت الحموي الرومي‎)- noted Mecca is holy to muslims; Jerusalem is holy to the Jews
13. #2 Salma
Non-Jew ,   England   (12.12.10)
See Salma, The posts at #11 and #12 are interesting and informative, in as far as they go - even they would be improved by including reference to their source material, so that others can check its credibility out for themselves. If you too were to post informed, and factual comments to support the Palestinian point of view, this would serve your people much better than the inane, hateful and generally pathetic type of comments you currently favour, which serve little purpose except to clutter the comments sections, and make you - and from a foreigner's point of view, possibly Palestinians in general - appear uneducated, hate-ridden and without anything constructive to say or offer. Can you do that, do you think?
14. #11, 12: the muslims know that all much better than anyone e
eporue ,   europe   (12.12.10)
lse.. and thats why they scream so loud about it... its not theirs, it never was and it will never be... they just want to take it away, for their own satisifaction... it leaves huge doubts about their attitude, their understanding of respecting religions, or holy sites in general... not much to expect from them...
15. Salah the scoundrel
Brod ,   USA   (12.12.10)
