Never has somebody predicted the event before it happened based on any writings from any source. In the 80's the end was the mid 90's. In the late 90's it was Y2K, then 2001. While it may scare the kids...and it does...I tell them this. If anybody ever gives you a date for Doomsday, ask them to legally give you all there worldly possessions (i.e. money, houses etc.) dated for the day after the date of doomsday.
