Daily we hear Muslims cry hysterically "We must defend Islam". It seems Islam must defend itself from itself rather than any attack from religions of the civilized world.

All Israel is, is a scapegoat, period. Yes Muslims will temporarily unite to fight what they consider a common enemy. But then they go back fighting everyone else. If you look at the conflicts around the world most involve the Muslims. As we see here they have no problem killing each other in mass numbers. Even after the Gaza War or the Lebanon War Israel had, and came under enormous criticism for, why is it nobody mentions the civil War the Arabs fight among themselves? Between Fatah and Hamas, 1,436 deaths as of last year alone. This included women and children too. What I'm talking about is Palestinians killing other Palestinians. Yet somehow you barely hear or read about that War. Why is that? It's a simple question.

This act of resistance was perpetrated by someone who felt humiliated in some way. Or dishonored. Or had lost all hope. Or was poor. Or saw their father arrested. Whatever the reason, it was obviously justified. And the children that died? Future oppressors.

Once more, 'the religion of peace' (as president Bush so mistakenly called it) shows its true face. Is the religion being 'hijacked' by a 'few misunderstanders' as Robert Spencer so cleverly puts it? I think it's quite obvious with suicide attacks happening in every country on the planet, that the 'few misunderstanders' happen to be a freakin' HUGE number of psychopaths that believe that every word written about 'the prophet' must be taken literally and that his perverted orders (received from Allah!) are as valid today as when he was slaughtering innocents 1400 years ago. Mohamed was a prophet - a prophet of murder, rape, theft, and dhimmitude. What a mark he left on the world. You can see it in action today in the Sudan, Iran, India, etc. Instead of Muslim 'clerics' denouncing these acts, they remain silent- because they know that's what Islam really stands for- conquest of the earth to spread the wonderful word of the prophet.

In all media, we always hear that the motive for suicide bombing is this and that, but the truth is that grand motive for every suicide bomber is to enter the highest level of the Islamic paradise, which is a place that is told to be better than if you were given this entire world and everything that is in it. Because they grow up with Islam and not secular society, they really believe this craziness. No, that behavior is reserved exclusively for your bretheren. Sad indeed that you cannot help yourselves from slaughtering each other. If the moderates were to speak out against the extremists, then the whole world would not make the connection between Islam and terrorism and cast you all in the same lot. I wouldn't say you invented it, but I would say your culture perfected it. In the book "Frankenstein" the doctor thinking he is godlike wants to create life (an act of his ego). In the end the monster he creates comes back and destroys everything he loves and kills him. Your culture made a calculated decision to teach hatred (the monster) to their kids (to set you up to die, and make you think you wanted to do it, and that it was a good thing), rather than a true education. They taught you a warped sense of values, for instance it's OK to kill people who differ or disagree with you. For that act of evil, they taught and teach, you will go to heaven. The fact is, it is the way to hell. But it's tough to teach people who grew up with all authority figures teaching them false truths. Here in the U.S. Thomas Jefferson who was a slave holder came to the conclusion that it was wrong. This is not to say he necessarily accepted slaves as equals (he didn't), but is considered great, for that first step, understanding, when all your family and friends, even government and church, bring you up with a certain culture, that it was morally wrong. It's that way with your culture now. You need to understand what you have been taught is wrong, morally. That terrorism is murder, not resistance. But you have to have an open mind and that doesn't seem prevalent in your culture, and maybe, punishable by death. Not many would say your culture is bastion of tolerance. Your friend Salah, at least thinks about these things (sometimes) apparently.
