Do you remember when Clinton got in front of the press when Mrs. Arafat accused Israel of trying to poison Palestinians? Or the fact that the current negotiations are not happening because Mrs. Clinton made settlements the key factor (it was not Obama or Abbas)? The horrifying aspect of Clinton's statements is not that she totally ignores Israel's identity and security concerns. It is that the overwhelming majority of American Jews support her.

But besides all this just what do these Jewish fundamentalist really want - what are they saying besides the Palestinians don't want peace so we must take all their land ( it will take some time but we will get there) and we must pass laws so the non Jews in the Occupied territories will never be citizens and are distributed in 'prefered community patterns' (far from Jews and modern infrastructure). Clearly Israelis believe that if they have been able to expand into the Occupied West Bank for over 40 years and have 42% of the land on the Israeli land ministry listed as settlement blocks that another 40 years and the take over will be complete - maybe so and the Israelis believe that the Palestinians living under occupation or non Jews living in Israel can either live to serve the "Jewish Democratic" (theocratic) state of Israel or leave. Maybe you win but win what - except for some talk about the chosen people - Israeli culture has been passed by and holds nothing for mankind - Maybe the ultra nationalists are like an echo from a long ago collapse.....

Nations see Iran as more of a threat than Iran, but that does not mean they do not support the removal of the State of Israel from the Middle East. For the Arabs they have been caught out with their statements so they seek to reach out to Iran to remove the threat of Iran destabilizing their Kingdoms. While the Arabs do support the removal of Jews from the Middle East they see Iran as more of an immediate threat. Iran will try to convince them that Israel is the threat, nuclear weapons, Palestine and that Iran does not seek nuclear weapons. Iran seek to encircle Israel with enemies, joining the Arabs to Syria, Lebanon and they start a war via Hizbullah and Hamas and draw them all in against Israel, under the Iranian nuclear umbrella, this can be seen with Lebanon's stance on Israel. As the strategic and geopolitical balance shifts, in increases the threat to Israel. If Israel was on the verge of losing a war would Jordan and other Arabs states join in for the final push, Mazen as already said to the Arabs when you are ready we are ready to use force. The supply of weapons to Arab states via the US gives America some control over that and a counter to Iranian intentions. The real problem for Iran is Egypt, the crackdown on democracy in Egypt is due to the threat from Iran and Iranian interference, Hizbullah cells, support for El-Baradei, support for the Muslim Brotherhood, an Iran base in Gaza run by an Iranian proxy Hamas. Egypt faces a larger threat from Iran than other Arab states due to their strategic geography, the Suez Canal, Iran has tried as seen in Yemen due to the Gulf of Aden, tried to control maritime chock points to go with their control of the Straits of Hormuz.
