president has no stomach for stopping iran from sending nukes to Israel.
3. Obama seems to be good at sanctions.Nothing else.
Ali Jean ,   France   (12.21.10)
While it's easy for Obama to sanction, will other countries comply? I doubt.Last time i checked, Iran's trade with the US is almost nil.US sanction against Iran has become something symbolic and nothing else.A very distinct case in point is South Korea. They followed US lead in sanctioning Iran but opened an alternative route to trade with Iran in their own currency. What has Obama achieved for his own citizens who're suffering with economic hardship?Nothing!!! If Obama can't even get Israel to agree on something, he should forget about other countries following US lead.Sanction will make doing business a bit hard for Iran but with time they will adjust and find other avenues of doing business. If being under sanctions for over 30 years hasn't brought Iran to it's knees, what difference will this make?America's obsession with Iran is making them look more stupid in the eyes of their allies.Seems like their dwindling economy is less important to them than Iran. The whole thing's a bribed conspiracy and the actors involved are getting tired and seeing through the lies.Rock on,Obama!!!

did you just read the recent news in iran??? revolutionary guards and basij militias were posted on all tehran streets to combat the uprising of citizens because ahmadin ejad cut subsidies. and you say isran is not hurting??? if not hurting why cut subsidies by 46%? why???? and why post all these militias against the epople on the streets that may violently disagree with the subsidies cuts. your country's economy is in shambles, it is down the drain. people have nothing to eat in the outskirts of tehran and in other remote areas. i visited iran lately to see my family. everyone is more poor than poor, my friend. you are in denial. and you are lying. iran as we know it is going down the abyss and the mullahs are speeding the iranians' collapse. is a bomb really that worth it? maybe to a megalomaniac like ahmadin ejad, but to people that want food on their table, inflation that is not 32%, unemployment that is not 50% of the 25-30 years old bracket and basic human rights....he is not giving it to them. hameed aboughaze, iranian

6. :: STUXNET has harmed Iran#1 much more than any sanctions
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (12.21.10)
Russians supplying defective equipment on purpose, Israel eliminating one by one Iranian nuclear/ballistic missile scientists, Mossad spies sabotaging Iran's military production facilities, labs and most important weapon systems, all this coupled with a horrible economy, shrinking oil production and ruined infrastructure is taking Iran slowly but surely into the abyss.
7. To No: 6 .Belive in your own propaganda,Matty Groves???
jack ,   US   (12.21.10)
So far all you've listed are based on wild speculations from ny times and the likes. If that brings you some sort of comfort, keep dreaming...

Moragh   (12.21.10)
is the worst ever to set foot in the White House. Why is he still there bringing America to its knees. Unless the USA does something about it, Obama's nonsense will continue with much worse to come. Where's your guts America? You always had a mouth, what happened to it?

Kenny   (12.21.10)
I don't understand anything about it, but I just say GREAT WORK!
11. :: #7 - Cannot put 2 and 2 together?
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (12.21.10)
You obviously don't read a variety of news and Wikileaks. You certainly do not know that Russia has no intention of empowering Iran, it goes against Russia's security interests to have a crazy nuclear Muslim Iran on it's border. Russia will cheat Iran and supply it with useless equipment for financial gain. You obviously don't listen to the frequent bombastic announcements coming out of Iran about their extraordinary achievements. You are also not aware that Muslims in the Middle East have a tradition of bluffing and flexing muscles they don't have, just to scare off enemies.
12. #4. No doubt the economic situation in Iran is dire, but
Persian CAT   (12.21.10)
removing gasoline and other subsidies is a prudent method to bring the prices to a more realistic level, which will benefit the Iranian Middle Class in the long run. Subsidies distort the markets by hiding the real costs and consequently the prices for the goods and services. They also lead to waste and discourage conservation. You are deal wrong to assume the US and Israel enmity for Iran are due to the "bomb". The real reason for 30 years of pressure and terror inflicted on Iran is due to the Iranian people's desire for independence from the US. Israel is doing what it can to stop Iran's inevitable achieving of power parity with it in the region. The US and its cronies would have used the same tactics and threats against Iran if Mother Theresa were Iran's president. So the mollahs could be "speeding the Iranian collapse" by their despotic and extremist policies, but the REAL reason is the West's indignation for the Iranian people's efforts to gains independence, not the other way around. The real culprits who wish Iran's collapse are YOUR friends, so stop pretending you care about Iran or the Iranians. As we say in Farsi, khar khodeti.

Hal ,   Usa   (12.22.10)
You aren't equating the people of Iran's independence to the military putsch govt of the Islamic Revolution's support for terrorism and aquisition of a nuclear weapon are you? If you are trying to also equate the present US govt position on Iran with the Shah's era, you are a retard. Try as you might to be an intellect, you consistantly miss the mark. You fall on every side of every issue. Are you really a Cat or a Persian carpet? Pittiful!

Actually if you truly believe what you say, then why be mad at Israel or the USA? They're are the ones in power, you are trying to wrench it away. What would you do in their shoes? If they give you the power, then you'll inflict terror on the world, and here's our saying "the devil you know is better than one you don't". At least our American "masters" have values we can live with. All empires protect their interests. If you can't handle getting beaten, don't cry foul and tow in line with the USA. When Persia was an empire I betcha she also ensured no one achieved "freedom" from her. Plus, you're being a drama queen, as the "terror" the west has inflicted on Iran pales in comparison what our lovey dovey Ayatollahs have done to the NEUTRAL AVERAGE NON-POLITICAL everyday Iranians. Salaam Alekum
15. #14. We agrree on one point. That...
Persian CAT   (12.22.10)
the Iranian people are being terrorized by the US AND the Mollah regime goons. BTW, I don't speak Arabic.
16. Matty, do you have any souces to...
Persian CAT   (12.22.10)
back up your brainfarts about "Russians supplying defective equipment", or "Israel eliminating...Iraninan scientists", etc?! Or you're pulling this stuff out of your derriere? BTW, "eliminating scientist", in other words committing acts of terror can go both ways. Your unsubstantiated BS can cost some Israeli scientists' lives. I think you're OK with that.
