1. All partners in fight against WORLD terror is to be welcomed
Alan ,   SA   (12.21.10)
2. austrian Jews as jewish as an unkosher hotdog. Kara's spirit
Love Kara ,   Israel   (12.21.10)
of justice is 10000x more in line with Justice, and thereofore Judaism then these austrian "Jews" who know nothing of their peoples history and tradition and wisdom. Good for you Kara!
3. Strache and Israel's welcome.
Arn ,   Yehud   (12.21.10)
All those of Austria's Jewish communities who object to Strache's perspective of Islam and his visit to Israel remind me of all the ultra-liberal Jews in the US who voted - and will continue to vote - for Obama.. These are the same people who applaud another "great" friend of Israel - Sarkozy - who is now supplying Hezbollah with 100 anti-tank missiles. Yeah, sure.. to. the Lebanese Mickey Mouse army you say. With all the South American countries riding the Palestinian bandwagon letting Israel know she has no clout with them, Israel shall recognize and welcome friends.
4. Kol HaKavod
arik ,   usa   (12.21.10)
Israeli politicians and European fascists--a natural partnership.
5. Strache "isn't kosher"
Fluffi ,   Germany   (12.21.10)
Yes, and how does a right wing extremist like Strache become kosher, or, in other words, electable for the masses? Yes, he has to show how Jew-loving he is. Can somebody who claims that he supports Israel be a Nazi? Mr Strache really has learned from his famous countryman: tell everybody what they want to hear, get elected and then get rid of all those who don't march in one line. A feasible plan as long as you find enough blind fools who support you by digging their own graves. Mr Kara, read a history book.
6. FASCISTI doesn't matter which country they r both FASCISTI
(12.21.10)
7. Blind, prejudiced ingrates
Daniel ,   Formerly Israel   (12.21.10)
They accuse European right of being prejudiced against them, but it is they who are prejudiced against the right. Yes the old European right as embodied by Hitler and Mussolini were our enemies and the enemies of freedom, although it is worth noting that Mussolini actually protected Italian Jewry for while. But today it is the right in such countries as Holland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, etc. that stands with the Jews of Israel and of the Diaspora against Islamic terrorism. They were our greatest threat in the past , and they certainly remain so in places like Greece and Russia, but if European Jewry allows its prejudice against the political right to guide its actions in the circumstances of the 21st century, then they will have no-one to blame but ourselves when they are left without allies in the world.
8. Strache's visit in Israel.
Steven ,   Rockville, USA   (12.21.10)
Would you prefer another visit by the UK’s FM, who participated in the protest march against the separation wall, or the blatant anti-Israeli/anti-Jewish statements of the present and former high officials of EU, or perhaps the South American states’ recognition of the Palestinian state? It is time to recognize who can promote the interests of Israel. The same goes for the Austrian Jewish community.
9. #5 If you were Israeli, who would you support?
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (12.21.10)
You tell me: Strache says that Israel should exist. The Left who hate Strache support the Islamists call for exterminating the Jews and destroying Israel.
10. good luck Ayub, envy you..
Alex ,   UK   (12.21.10)
In Vienna go to Stefl, cathedrals, Arts Museum, and Belvedere, and Opera! These are things that make West worth defending, - and European freedom parties stand for this. 100% with you!
11. Unbelievable naivity...
Oskar ,   Tel Aviv   (12.22.10)
It is clear that Kara and some of the commenters here have never lived in Austria - I lived there the last 4 years and read the (German) papers there - every day. While Strache's party may be fiercely against Muslims and immigrants and many of the other political parties pro-Palestinian, Strache's party is also against anything that is not white, Christian and conservative Austrian, including Jews. Strache himself has made many racist, antisemitic and xenophobic remarks over the past years, was photographed making a neo-Nazi greeting and recently pledged he would keep the 'Wiener Blut' (Viennese Blood) pure.... Any approach by an Israeli MK shows remarkable stupidity and ignorance, and oversees that Strache will only use this for his own political benefit, trying to silence any Austrian Jew saying he is antisemitic (and he is).... Simply unbelievable!
12. Israel's stand on freeze had a price, this is part of it
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (12.22.10)
It may have been better to freeze building for 3 months, than pay the price Israel is now paying, its much higher than most realize yet. Both Israel and US need to find a solution before end of next summer or the price for both is dangerous long term.
13. Strache's election campaign
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (12.22.10)
featured a threat to Austrians, that if they don't do something soon, they'll find Turkey and Israel with them in the EU. Clearly a scare tactic of the cheapest, most demagoguish form. And clearly, Strache is no lover of Jews. The reason he supports Israel is in order for the Austrian Jews to go there, and thus "purify" Austria. Either Kara is unbelievably naive and dumb, or he craved a nice trip in Austria...
14. #9, Israel Israeli
Fluffi ,   Germany   (12.22.10)
Supporting people like Strache means to jump from the frying pan into the fire. The world is not divided into 'left' and 'right': the majority is somewhere in-between. This means to oppose any form of extremism and to grant every country its right to exist in peace and safety, whether this country is called Luxembourg, Israel or Finland.
15. strache
rafa ,   austria   (12.22.10)
What some here seem not to understand is the following: Love for Israel does not mean that one is a lover of the Jews. On the contrary, in my opinion. Strache hates Jews not less than he hates Muslims. His party´s election campaigns include calling for "Europe in Christian hands".They are against Israel being in the EU one day (because there are Jews in Israel).Strache has contacts with neo-Nazis in Austria and everybody knows this. The Freedom Party itself was created "by ex-Nazis for ex-Nazis".They openly use Nazi greetings, anti-semitic paroles, etc. Having friends like this is a disgrace
16. To: No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.22.10)
Funnily enough, Israelis believe that Israel's domestic policies should be crafted in Jerusalem, not in Washington, D.C. That would include where and when to build. If you are alluding to the "Palestinian" delusion that they will unilaterally declare statehood in August 2011, contemplate this: Whatever will they do when Israel annexes Judea and Samaria long before then?
17. To: No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.22.10)
And here I always thought that "Wiener Blut" meant Viennese Sausage! Silly me. Fear not. No sane person trusts an Austrian politician, particularly the ones who goose-step to music only they can hear.
18. Kara, Thanks, we are with you
Eran ,   Singapore   (12.22.10)
19. definately the right way to go
david ,   new york,usa   (12.22.10)
israel needs a close working alliance with the right wing in europe. they also need to work hand in hand with american evangelicals. they are the best supporters of israel. israel should invest every penny it has to boost conservative pro-israel groups in other countries (l-rd knows that the anti-semitic arabs are supporting the left with $billions). israel has a gdp of $200 billion. they could easily put $100 million a year into this since it is a matter of survival.
20. I also have my freeze price in KKK membership
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (12.22.10)
