Aaron Wexler ,   Rutland USA   (12.23.10)
I just returned home from Tel Aviv..I saw a people that are very relaxed and happy living in a country which is very clean and prosperous..You do not see criminals and bums on the streets..You never feel threatened..You feel safe and in peace at all times..I would have to say Israel is the best place I have ever been..That is if you enjoy peace and sanity...Israel has peace and kind , considerate citizens who are always willing to help you...The World can learn much from Israel..

did you hear recently that israel got into the oecd??? did you hear recently that israel's economy is one of the best now comoared to europe, the eu and the entire arab world including the usa? did you hear recently that israeli economy has jumped by 6% this year and that despite the ludicrous boycotts (which never will suceed) the israeli exports doubled and imports as well. if the boycott worked how come the israeli export doubled this year? and if exports have almost doubled too, why do you say israel has a negative image in the world. after all, if it did, do you think people would invest in israel or its genius economics, its genius medical research, genius it, genius high tech, genius pc inovations and the list goes on and on and on. eat your heart out. you are just mad that your agenda is not working. on the other hand, iran is in the toilette, its economy ruined, its people will starve and start rioting on the streets because if 30% unemployment and inflation. iran's economy is doomed and i see almost every modern nation not investing a penny in iran as we speak. none at all. so, who is the looser? israel with a fantastic economy or iran with a failed miserable situation and no investment in it at all. tough, peter. such is life. do not mess with the jews, peter. it'll end up biting you in your antisemitic arse.
34. #24 Ali
Hal ,   Usa   (12.23.10)
You probably believe in the tooth fairy as well. Ooops, no fairys in Iran cause Ahmananojerk says so. Israel's economy stands on it's own unlike Iran that has to subsidize it's domestic freeloaders consumption of gasoline. Frankly Ali, if you knew anything you might be dangerous. You wish Iran had Israel's economy. As far as who will leave where, Ali, I wouldn't get to comfy in Teheran. Where the people do away with the crimminal military putsch regime, all the little regime butt-boys such as yourself will haveto move to a safe location preferrably outside Iran. Your buddies will be hanging like strange fruit from any lampost available. Your only trick is oil and where I come from they call that a one-trick pony. No soup for you, two weeks no get out !!!!!!!
35. Ali #24 those have been mere pats on the hand
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (12.23.10)
Just continue to be jackasses and the sanctions will get much much worse.
36. This is not good news
John DeLancy ,   Alaska, USA   (12.23.10)
There are lots and lots of poor people in Iran who HATE Amadinnerjacket and the fascist regime. These are the people who are being hurt in this. Ahmadinijad and Khameni and their ilk DON'T CARE about their people nor about how much they are suffering. What's the solution? I have no idea - it's _literally_ anti-Biblical to give money or any assistance to this evil regime. Perhaps a military strike will shock the fascists and enable their opponents to rise up. Obama isn't going to do so, but nobody would do more than complain if the IDF did it. (and the Almighty would bless you for helping stop an evil person from hurting his people - I think! I can't substantiate it, but it _feels_ right)
37. To #24 poor Ali
John DeLancy ,   Alaska, USA   (12.23.10)
You don't understand how "IT" works. Israel will ALWAYS prosper. Literally EVERY other country in the world can turn against Israel and make war against her, but Israel WILL prosper. The ONLY thing you can do is either add to this prosperity by blessing Israel with your intentions and deeds, or TRY to take away this prosperity by your intention and deeds. WHICHEVER you do, G-D ALMIGHTY will do back to you, and EITHER WAY this same G-D will continue to ensure that Israel prospers. As the Psalmist says: For the LORD [is] great, and greatly to be praised: he [is] to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations [are] idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Every other god, including and especially Allah, the moon-god that people murder and do other atrocities in the name of, is just another idol, something that man created. But the Real G-D is Something else entirely. That is why you will NEVER win if you oppose His chosen. because they are HIS chosen.

truth ,   new york   (12.23.10)
Here's a dose of reality. Israel's per capita GDP is bigger than that of Syria, Egypt, and Iran. Israel's economy is comprised to a large degree of high Tech. American subsidy accounts for less than 2% of Israel's total GDP. Furthermore, most of Israelis today are descendants of Jews who fled Arab countries not Europeans. I guess you are wrong about evry aspect of your post. Please check some facts before you make a fool of yourself.
39. The dictator doesn't care - he's not unemployed!
Scott ,   USA   (12.23.10)
The bomb effort will continue.
40. To Ali, Tehran
Edward ,   New York   (12.23.10)
Israel is the startup nation with new patents and technologies the benefit the world in cellphone and computer technology, medical technology, agriculture. Iran's chief exports are hate and oil. In 20 years your oil will be gone, I am sure you'll be hating yourselves by then.
41. Peter should worry about his own country
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (12.23.10)
Muslims in Austria filed a complaint against a man for the offense of yodeling while they were assembled in prayer. The judge found him guilty. Austrians killed their Jews now must deal with their Muslims. Must suck to be you, Peter.
42. Oil @ $90.00 Per Barrel
Ron ,   OC, US   (12.23.10)
Far too high and will enable Iran to support terrorism and aquire the bomb. The only solution is to curb our own oil use. Buy a low milage car if you are in the market and drive less if at all possible.
43. #15 - great answer ! burkas, mosques, minarets and Sharia!
Daniela   (12.23.10)
this is what is coming to Europe in the near future. Im sure Mr. no.3 is one of the cousins installed in Austria.
44. @#24: In spite of what #3 and his friends say, Israel has
Bat Zion ,   Central Israel   (12.23.10)
done nothing that comes close to threatening World Peace as Iran does, so nobody wants to put Israel under the same sanctions as Iran. As for the American aid to Israel, well, it is under American conditions, so every cent of it must be spent in the USA to buy American products. So IMHO, while it will be extremely difficult, that if Uncle Sam will decide to ditch us after all these years, we may yet survive somehow. And as for your oil, you can keep it. I ride a bike.
45. #3, Peter, I think that the late and rotten
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (12.23.10)
Jörg Haider was also a Muzzie fan like you...he was just like you...you do not want to join him...???
46. 30% unemployment?
Cameron ,   USA   (12.23.10)
heavy Numbers like that have to weigh on a fanatic.
47. Stop day dreaming folks!
IRAN#1   (12.23.10)
Iran's economy is in better shape than most of the countries in the world. compared to the "free world" economies in USA, UK, Ireland, Iceland, Greece, Portugal, Italy, etc,...... Stop deceiving yourselves, Iran has been planning the subsidies cut fro the past 5 years. yesterday Iran's Central Bank announced they have doubled the size of their foreign exchange reserved in the past 3 years by buying gold at an average price og $600 an ounce. May I suggest you boys and girls worry about your jobs, your houses and your future and make sure your leaders don't start another war at your expense. Merci!
48. :: Iran won't survive 5 minutes the enemies Israel has
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (12.23.10)
Israel has been under sanctions from all the neighboring countries for 62 years and attacked by multiple armies several times from countries with a population 20 times Israel's size, and won every single time. Today Israel with no natural resources until recently, is the most advanced, modern, civilized and free country in the Middle East, gaining the respect of all humane civilizations in the world such as Buddhist China, Hindu India and Christian West. Iran at best had a draw in the war with Iraq, a country that is one third Iran's size, and lost one million people during that period.
49. The Wheel of life will turn and turn and roll on.
Salma ,   Palestine   (12.23.10)
Dark future awaits the entire world's economy not only Iran.
50. Folks - look at North Korea, then look at Iran. Twins?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (12.23.10)
Iran is looking and behaving more and more like North Korea. The big difference is that Iran has oil to fund its nuclear weapons program, while North Korea sells weapons to Arabs and Africans in order to get the cash it so desperately needs. Will we see mass malnutrition in Iran like we do in North Korea? We already see the government forcing the masses out into huge, organized propaganda events in order to instill fear and prop themselves up. And, of course, you judge people by the company they keep. When your biggest supporters in the world are Hugo Chavez and

and have to pay India and China to do so....

53. #47
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (12.23.10)
I'm shocked. You mean the mullahs stole more money yesterday. Wow! what a refreshing news. I guess more deposits to the Ara gulf countries. What the heck are you so proud of? Unless you get a part of it You should chaneg your name to IRAN #1 BS.
54. #47 More sanctions please
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.23.10)
Ahmadinjad has been planning subsidy cuts since he took office but implementing them only now to outrun sanctions. A bit late and only a finger in the dam. Iran's shipping industry is being brought to a near halt with cargo ships confiscated all over the world. Insurers not willing to insure Iranian ships and airports not willing to refuel Iranian flights. With the 40% increase in fuel prices, Iranian truckers may be unable to move goods by land which includes oil tankers. Meanwhile, environmentally unsafe cheap gas is being sold to the Iranian public creating dangerous levels of air pollution. You've given an example of how the Regime is hording money but that money is obviously not being used to solve Iran's multitude of problems.
55. Propaganda..it's what Israeli want to read..
Edithann ,   USA   (12.23.10)
Israeli's are only happy when they think Iran is worse off then they...hahaha..but it's not true... There are cutbacks throughout the world, Israel included or .haven't you noticed?.. Hahahaha TATA
56. # 32
Birdi ,   Israel   (12.23.10)
Aaron please dont wait too long before you visit us here in Israel again. Thankyou for your good words & support.
57. 30% unemployment is good, as they can be cheap cannon fodder
YM   (12.23.10)
they cut on the own subsidy and fatten Hassan Nasrallel. See how plumb he has grown on Iranian fats.
58. # 55
(12.23.10)
laughing hyena cant take the truth.
59. #55 - we sure have, but so have the Mullahs
William ,   Israel   (12.24.10)
Didn't you hear? They placed the basij on street corners throughout Iran to brutally beat down any protests once A'jad cancelled subsidies. Even the worst nation in Europe doesn't have the same unemployment as Iran (US has around 10%, Israel under 7%)....and yet Iran finds money to sponsor arms shipments around the world, sponsor Shia militias around the world, and pursue nukes instead of providing jobs and basic infrastructure. Hell yeah I'm happy to see the pending implosion.
60. #24 - actually, only the military is subsidized...
William ,   Israel   (12.24.10)
and that requires Israel to be partners on many development projects as well as curtailing Israel's own military industry which is very successful. Israel's economy is pretty good and growing. Hence the reason Warren Buffet felt secure enough to invest there. BTW - enjoy the $90/barrel oil. You won't have that finite resource much longer. But Israel is on the cutting edge of renewable energy advanced technology, making oil an obsolete item in the future. Who will be cashing in then? Face it - in every way, Israelis seem to be the Arabs' worst enemies.
