russEL ,   TLV   (12.26.10)
Turkish hypocrites
32. After Erdogan now another liar
Dr.Ludwig ,   Belgium   (12.26.10)
1.Israel asked Turkey before the provokation Flotilla to stop the ships an not to interfere in the israeli security affairs. 2.it is not possible to send from Turkey so much people and mercenaries without governmental knowledge.
33. There is no need for Israel and Turkey to mend their ties
(12.26.10)
Actually, there needs to be a war between Turkey and Israel to settle the account and to define each other as enemy forever. Most Jewish talkbackers here cannot even speak Hebrew and are not even living in Israel. But they keep writing ignorant and hostile talkbacks. Will they be fighting and dying when Israel has to fight against Turkey, Iran, Hamas, Hizballa, Syria, PA, Jordan, Egypt simultaneously? Of course not. They will be writing their silly talkbacks here while Israelis are dying. Do you think insignificant countries like Greece and Cyprus will fight for Israel against all those enemies? They are scared of even the name of Turks. Do you think corrupt and poor countries like Bulgaria and Romania will fight for Israel? Don't be ridiculous. But most talkbackers are already ridiculous, they have no knowledge of diplomacy and history, and they don't hesitate to display their ignorance and hostility.
34. Turks have friend
selim ,   england   (12.26.10)
but you have nobody. you only buy friends. with all the media and financial backing still the world hates you. to no 15: How long do you think it would take Israel to vaporize Turkey? I dont know how long but it would take much more time than Israel since you hardly deal with even a simple bushfire.
35. to #8 not really go read shabtai zvi bio
ghostq   (12.26.10)
the turkes forced him to convert to Islam, they didn't do that for free, or cause they wanted to help they just saw bussiness oppertunity and nothing more.
36. Turkey's carnage; Turkey's folly
josef   (12.26.10)
Mr. Davutoglu; you and your boss are fully responsible for the coffins line-up. You owe a profound apology to the Turkish people for the careless disposal of it's citizens. done for one purpose only; to be in the good grace with Iran, hezbollah, Syria. hamas. They are experts in making 'others' pay for their ventures.
37. to #34 also turks got enemies, half the balkan
ghostq   (12.26.10)
like Bulgaria, Greec, Serbia, Cyprus and others who suffered dearly by turks, as for vaporizinfg turkey... Israel or anybody on earth want to veporize anyone unless it is muslim propeganda issue, no publication claim that, and it was turkey who sent boat toward Israel, with IHH terror activists on board, seems like in any other country that boat whould have sinked before reaching anywere.
38. to #31 true Armenian did had genocide
ghostq   (12.26.10)
it was postpone due to the holidays, but a week from now the UN will descuss the recognizing of Armenian situation.
39. TURKS ARE IN THE TERRORISTS CAMP FOR GOOD
AMERICAN ,   Los Angeles   (12.26.10)
Don't expect anything different from the turks than what you heard so far.The islamo-fascists are looking for a way to paint Israel in black and to have pretext for provocations.
40. #1 the Marmara event was maritime earthquake?
observer   (12.26.10)
41. To: No. 34
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.26.10)
Turkey's "friends" are Iran and Syria. You need to ask yourself what kind of "friends" these are. Israel, on the other hand, as has been emphatically proven in confidential documents released through WikiLeaks, has friends throughout Europe, Africa, the Far East, the Americas and -- most surprisingly -- the Middle East. There is no such thing as a "simple bushfire." The "simple bushfire" in Greece several years ago took months to extinguish. The "simple bushfire" in Australia last year took months to extinguish, as well. "Simple bushfires" in the United States take months to extinguish, even with arguably the best and most advanced fire-fighting equipment, destroying hundreds of thousands of acres in the process. Then again, I guess one could say that Turkey was pretty helpless in the August 2010 earthquake. And that was a baby earthquake, a mere 6.0 on the Richter scale. Israel would have combatted the arson fire in the Carmel without the two planes sent by Turkey. What would you have done without Israel's heavy earth-moving equipment and medical expertise in the aftermath of the earthquake? What would Turkey have done without Israeli water purification expertise and the tens of thousands of cholera vaccine provided by Israel? What would you have done without Israeli trauma medical teams? For that matter, remember the Izmit earthquake in 1999? That one killed tens of thousands. Israel was there, too; the first country to respond, again with heavy earth-moving equipment, crack medical teams and trauma surgeons. Don't be so smug. Turkey's "friends" were very slow to respond in 1999, and even slower to respond last August. Israel's a nuclear power, Selim. It would take less than a second to vaporize Turkey. And no one -- no one -- will come to Turkey's aid. Of course, you could fly over from the relative safety of England. Assuming you cared enough.
42. Apology to Israel????
Spencer ,   Israel   (12.26.10)
If Israel contemplates apologising or paying compensation to Turkey that will be an absolute disgrace. The whole unpleasant matter was 100% Turkey's fault. They should apologise unequiviicably with no preconditions at all.
43. lunatic effort to find any excuse to attack Israel
dante ,   uk   (12.26.10)
the only thing that this, latest, absurd attack upon Israel proves is that the turkish government is shameless, relentless in its campaign against Israel and is unconstrained by any considerations of truth, fairness, decency.
44. #33 is most sensible talkback
selim ,   britain   (12.26.10)
it shows that there is still sanity amongst Israelis. unlike Sarah B who is writing as correctly stated from USA city of Israel . She claims it takes one second to vaporize Turkey but she should know that this kind of threat could only work on Jewish or Christians not on muslims because dying for religion is a gift not a punishment. This is a mistake you always do you try to scare but it backfires. i can understand the hateful comments you write about Turkey after all you lost the pupy state you have been ruling for long time. do not forget there are something in life money can not buy !
45. #33,#44 Stop living in dreamland
Eran ,   Singapore   (12.26.10)
You have a very distorted, uninformed and stupid strategic view of the problem. Keep dreaming first and reflecting later as usual. ....Because of this you have remained backwards in the last 500 years. Enjoy the fruits of your derams by dreaming.
46. #45 500 years backward
selim ,   united kingdom   (12.26.10)
backward or forward we had ruled present israel borders for 500 years without any problem. because of your aggresive behaviour 60 years after israel was established ; your existence is still questionable and you have to beg other countries to stand up. well without USA you are nothing you lost your biggest partner Turkey. Even though we ignore you you still keep begging to normalize our relations we dont need you; actually we should not involve in this and watch you and iranians eat each other whilst we are drinking raki on the beatiful meditterenian coasts of Turkey.

Rob ,   Australia   (12.26.10)
About 4 moths ago I was in the USA and met some Israelis, selling their stuff in Shopping Centres.Every single Israeli I spoke to had been to Turkey at least TWICE!And found teh country very nice and inexpensive, too.Turkey has an enormous potential for tourism and Israel's tiny contibution to Turkish tourism is only 2% or therabouts. And yet, Israelis are still going to Turkey for holiday.I am sure a huge country like Turkey could well do without a few hundred thousand jewish travelers!!
48. To #15
Rob ,   Australia   (12.26.10)
I think it is your OWN patience and hysteria needs to be controlled!Turkey's economy is 4.5 times stronger than Israel's and the population is almost 10 times. You better carry on your fight in Israel, NOT from the USA madam!
49. Israel's Nucleer arsenal?
Rob ,   Australia   (12.26.10)
Well...Sarah..It will take a long long time to use it.A rat would run away from you but if you corner, it would atatck your throat.Turkey wouldn't bring the situation to this point.By the way, what do you know about Turkey's nucleer arsenals??? Ido NOT think you know much. And in your so called friendly countries the 'anti-semitsim' has reached to its most dangerous dimensions!! Please note, would you?
50. Selim #46
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (12.26.10)
1. No AKP member will drink Raki. If AKP gets his way no one in Turkey might be able to enjoy any more Raki in Turkey. Only last week in Ankara Police raided a restaurant where a family was eating dinner while the adults were drinking beer. A similar incident had happened in Aydin also and who knows how many others that were not reported. 2. If Turkish rule in teh Arabic peninsula did not have any problems then why did the Arabs sided with the British and back stabbed the Turks?
51. #46 I only said backwards but..
Eran ,   Singapore   (12.26.10)
Dear Friend, All this would not happen if ATATURK was leading your country today. Maybe while drinking Raki or Whiskey you can join the honorable world community enjoying the company of Corrupt regimes; North Korea, Syria and most of all your beloved Iran where woman stonig and killing is the daily routine when they don't spend their time cut limbs of poor petty thieves. Raki is out of the question. You have ruled the world for 500 years and contributed not a lot. Just look to Israel and compare; *How many Nobel prices you have? *How many Intel and Motorola research centers world leaders in computer technology you have in Turkey vs Israel? *You only know to talk and take photos with cellphones while Israel has and is generating the past, present and future technology. * Compare the Israeli military technology with yours!! * Compare Israeli Heavy equipment development CT/MRI/PET/SPECT etc. with Turkey's * How many satellites have you placed in the sky in the last decade? * How many prominent nuclear scientists have you produced? Any Nobel prices among them? *Who really knows you except for the Turkish food and "shikidam" songs? You were a world power for 500 years. You missed the boat big time. Today, you are nothing. No serious country gives a damn about you. (Just consult Wikileaks) Soon you will be out of NATO for allying yourself with the Humeinist fascho-islamists regimes of Iran Syria, and terrorist organiztions like Hizballa, IHH and Hamas. I humbly suggest,Try to solve your problems of Cyprus and Kurds before you start a new adventure. Also worry about the Jewish dominated US senate deciding on the Armenian Holocost very soon. All this would not happen if ATATURK was leading your country today. Shame

Israel deserves better then Lieberman. Similarly Turkey deserves better then AKP and Erdogan.(When can you produce another Ataturk or even Ismail Cem?) But In Turkey all media is under government pressure. Sabah is the son in law of Erdogan and Dogan Media has been fined 5 billion dollars for opposing Erdogan. politics cannot be with emotions but wasn`t it emotional outburst what Erdogan did in Davos? Don`t let Erdogan guide you and play your nationalistic emotions. Stop these Al Quds demonstrations going on in many towns where AKP is leading. You know Turkish emotions can go out of proportion very easily like 1955 september 6-7. Don`t have any doubt, with the exceptions of a very small minority all Israelis want peace. Jews are smart people as you say. We are aware that we are only 15 million spread all around the world and we have no choice but live in peace. For the 100 Million Arabs and over 1 billion Muslims this concern does not exist. Regards to you
53. 33 There needs to be a war?
Riy ,   Miami   (12.26.10)
What a stupid remark. War and long term alliance with the U.S., it is quite unfortunate and painful to state that Turkey has decided to follow another course. Turkey is no longer an American ally or friend and continues to destabilize the ME with radical posturing including the support of Iran. The time for constrained response to Turkey is ended; Turkey no longer deserves the priviledges assigned to civilized states. You are on your own.
54. To Sarah #15
Rob ,   Australia   (12.27.10)
Do you really think Israel would do to Turkey the way it was done to the jews during the WW2? If so, should we have applouded the Nazis for what they had succeeded in the ugliest methods?? I am sure you are a jew and you can emphatize?
55. To #53
Rob ,   Australia   (12.27.10)
Turkey is far more autonomous than Israel when it comes to her foreign policy.Turkey does not have to follow everything USA wants her to do whereas Israel would without hesitation. Also do not forget that President Barak Obama had made his very first overseas trip to Turkey after he became the president of the USA.I don't think you are following the news on a regular basis! Just a few days ago Obama stressed the significance of the friendship and relationship with Turkey. And so did Hilary Clinton in the not too distant past. From my perspective, Turkey is a very strong and stable country and enjoys continual peace with her neigbours unlike Israel! I have been both in Turkey and Israel and can only say that Israel is "really great" for its size in terms of population and Turkey has changed a lot in the past 20 years.By the way,Turkey is in G20 and not long ago was ranked as the 16th lagest economy in the world which is not something to be sneezed at!Anyone thinks otherwise MUST visit the country.People are free the way they live and dress.Yes, AKP is not the party I would want Turkey to govern as such. But the present Turkish government made a significant contribution to the economic developments in recent years. And AKP will still not stay there forever. This is for sure!
56. #55 Rob. I could agree but
Riy ,   Miami   (12.27.10)
Turkey will soon be more autonomous when they will be kicked out of NATO. Yesteday I watched on CNN the marmara frenzy demonstration and I thought I was in Teheran. The amount of hate and xenophobia generated by the masses reminded me of Hitler and Homeini. No my friend. Turkey is not autonomus. it is now the puppet of Iran now and dances to its tune. Wait until bombs start exploding in the streets like in Iran and Pakistan and ruin the country. Regarding Turkey's financial prowess, just wait to see what happens when Europe soon send back masses of workers DUE TO STAGNATION THERE and unemplyment will top to 20-30% from 10% WHICH IT is today. You can maybe then dance to the tune of zeybek then. .. Regarding G20, be very proud but just take a glimpse to some Wikileaks documents to see where Turkey stands, You can also see on CNN how Erdogan wobbles like a coacrach to get himself next to Obama for a photo op. Nothing more. Yes Turkey has changed a lot in 20 years. The corruption is blatant, even the head of state seem to have 8 bank accounts in Switzerland . This is a country where you get to power in order to rob the state and be rich. Dressing code has progressed by adding the headscarf and soon the burka to the modern warderobe. Just take a stroll in beyoglu and you will see. Turkey no longer deserves the priviledges assigned to civilized states. You are on your own. And its unfortunate

Israel will do whatever it takes to survive. The Nazis contributed nothing to civilization. The same cannot be said for the Jews, whose record of contributions to humankind are long and legion, despite persecution unparalleled in history. Can I empathize? With whom? With what? A violent and uneducated people whose sole stated goal is to erase Jews (like me) and the State of Israel from the planet? Oh, I think not. Funnily enough, I think that Israel -- and the Jewish people -- have earned the right to be here. Can the same be said for terrorist swill and their sympathizers? No. I think not.

You spend your vacations interviewing itinerant Israeli tourists? Why?
59. To #58
Rob ,   Australia   (12.27.10)
Firstly, the "Itinerant Israelis" pester the bypassers and they are very good at selling their stuff, too.I happened to be one of their victims:)) In the meantime we had some chats. That was all.Secondly, it is not only Israel who has the right to exist on this planet.Anything crazy Israel does(Which I doubt very much by the way) the reaction would be swift and severe.Vaporizing a race and a country was very easy and used to exist up untill the WW2 but NOT TODAY!
60. #51 Turks are fighter nation
selim ,   UK   (12.28.10)
Whilst we have been fighting to protect our boundries we have provided safety for many minorities including Jewish. Whilst you were doing trade and getting education we were fighting. You have never fought until after 1948. You have actualy never have had any country or government until then. Now like a child who have a expensive toy or sweet you are spoiling it ! you dont realise you are ruining it because of your protective parent USA .
