China? Russia? India? Brazil? The first three of the foregoing countries cannot feed their populace without massive imports of food. You're not a world power if you cannot feed your people. Brazil? Do you know what a "favella" is? Brazil's got lots and lots of those. The trouble with pretty much every country in South America except for Chile is that one percent of the population controls 99 percent of the wealth; 99 percent of the people live in desperate straits. Is that YOUR idea of a world power? It certainly is not mine. (Or any normal person's, actually.) And having companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange (with all the requirements attendant thereto) is actually quite impressive. Especially for a tiny country. The Stock Exchange (assuming NYSE, here) has performed normally in the past two years. If you're looking for the reason for the collapse of the credit markets -- you know, the collapse that has broken Turkey nearly in two -- you need look no further than the European and Far Eastern consortium of banks. The U.S. has been impacted as a result, but it certainly is not responsible for the collapse. I suspect that I know considerably more about the Turkish economy than do you, and I assure you that Turkey's economy is circling the bowl. The Turks are looking at REALLY hard times ahead. Wise up, baby boy.

LOL! Turkey's ports are not doing well at all. Izmir, Mersin, Iskenderun are operating at a mean of roughly 40 percent of capacity. Haydarpasa at about 20% of capcity. If that's your idea of "best," I would LOVE to hear your definition of "crippled." Oh, well. You guys sealed your own fate when you turned towards Teheran and Damascus. Just another in a long line of supremely stupid Turkish choices. You know, I remember when vessels were lined up to be drydocked in Turkey. These days, the only vessels being drydocked in Turkey are Turkish-owned vessels. Even the MAVI MARMARA was drydocked elsewhere! Get a grip. Fully one-half of Turkey's maritime industry is dead. The balance is dying. Why don't you ask your broke friends in Iran for help? LOL, LOL, LOL!
33. #10 Nour - What "Occupation"?
Dallas ,   Canada   (12.26.10)
A sealed border (also from Egypt I will remind you) is not an occupation. Israel ceded control of Gaza years ago. The reason for this is that Hamas is belligerent. Stop the robot-like mantra calling for an end to "occupation". You are brainwashed.

Guys wake up! You lost the PR game in the phony flotilla, there was NO CRISIS IN Gaza, and thanks to your massive PR on this Pallywood show, the world now knows it. A BIG THANKS. We all saw the pictures and video's, are you stupid or what? See HERE: http://current.com/1a6e04c http://elderofziyon.blogspot.com/2010/07/gaza-mall-video.html AND MY PERSONAL FAVORITE: http://www.rootsclub.ps/movie.php The Promotional video made by the Restaurant owners in GAZA. Tough life in that "open air prison", "concentration camp", "ghetto/slum" etc., while those are wonderful TRIGGER words to elicit sympathy from the Western Media, we now KNOW they are all LIES. THANK YOU FOR GIVING THIS TRUTH SUCH GREAT EXPOSURE. YOU HAVE HELPED ISRAEL IMMENSELY.

43. 26 - In Turkey was have a saying
Ahmed ,   Istanbul   (12.26.10)
You are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts. Apparently this does not apply to you, you keep manufacturing facts based on your reality which is not quite reality. Turkey, repeat after Me delusional Sarah, has nukes. Turkey GDP is over 600 and climbing Bil US dollars while Israel’s approaching 200. Turkey is one of the most striving economies in Europe. Do yourself and us a favor, learn and educated yourself before you fart here. One more thing, take care of your twisted hate and anger, there is obviously something more like some things wrong with you.

45. Ahmed - Isarael's GDP per capita is higher
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (12.26.10)
Turkey is 72 million in population while Israel is only about 7 million. (The entire Jewish population in the world is estimated to be less than 20 million). Therefore you can not make a feair comparison based on country level GDP. Per capita GDP in Israel is $29,404 ranking 28. Economically troubled Greece follows in number 29 with a GDP of $28,833. Turkey is number 63 with a GDP of $13, 392. There is a huge poor population in Turkey that is in need of the AKP handout coal for heat and care packages of beans and other food items in exchange of votes during elections.

Keep on drinking the Kool Aid. Turkey's an economic basket case. Don't worry about my education. Worry about your delusions. Ask yourself why the West is about to kick Turkey to the curb. Do you think it might have something to do with the fact that Turkey has chosen to align itself with two other loser states? Iran and Syria? Yeah. Turkey. Get a grip, turkey. Turkey's done for. And not a moment too soon. Gobble, gobble.

More drivel from the peanut gallery. Do you think you can muster up some proof before mommy and daddy come home and smack you silly for playing on the computer when they're not there? Please do try. Much as it pains me to take advantage of the mentally challenged, I'll accept the opportunity to humiliate you, oh tiny little brain ....
49. lol. 46 you are a basket case..lol

Yes, they do. They have psychiatrists in Israel, too. Which I suspect you know, as you are doubtless under the very close care of one, aren't you, dear? Now, be a good boy and let the nurses have the computer back. You KNOW you're not supposed to use a computer until your psychoses is under control. You don't want to be strapped down to the bed again, now, do you? Of course not ....

Why, thank you, sir! I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for someone -- anyone -- to post facts that contradict mine but here I sit --- waiting. And waiting. My best wishes for a joyous holiday season to you and those you hold close. I wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year .... one free of YNet loonie tunes who make grandiose statements which they have yet to back up with facts ....

56. #5 Madlen in Wonderland
Armen K. ,   Salzburg, Austria   (12.27.10)
Madlen, since Armenia is "independent", most of the Armenians are begging and serving wholeheartedly to Iran!! Don't misunderstand me, I'm Armenian, too. I am not trying to insult you but the policy of your country and the widespread sich belief among my fellow countrymen who beleive ernestly the genocide agains Armenians was organised by Jews. In direct opposite, you guys (Anti-Jewish Armenians) have no sense of honor, this is well known since the Turks invaded Anatolia and your folks collaborated with them against Greeks. In addition, not only the Turks know very well how to use us!! The Iranians, Lebanese and other Arabs and Russians, too. Iran's President becomes Yerevan State University Honorary Doctor http://www.panarmenian.net/eng/politics/news/23715/ What a shame! Even Iran's strongest allies in the region did not come to such a sick idea, up to now!

59. Turkey, a bunch of monkeys
Marcel ,   São Paulo, Brazil   (12.27.10)
Turks are a bunch of monkeys. They had everything to become a modern Western style country with democracy and economic growth. Now they are turning the clocks backwards, worsening the situation of non-Muslims and non-religious Muslims, becoming a filthy Iran II and forgetting themselves and their own traditions for the sake of a fake religion of a paedophile bogus prophet. Turkey is not, never was and never will be part of Europe. All the monuments they have are Greek.
60. 3rd World
Marcel ,   São Paulo, Brazil   (12.27.10)
When will Turks admit that their country is 3rd World? Their GDP per capita is a small part of Israel's. Plus Israel has science, technology and knowledge, Turkey has nothing. Not one of the 300 best universities in the World is found in a Muslim country. No wonder, Muslim governments keep their people dumb, that is how they create willing jihadists and "freedom fighters". Most Palestinians are killed by Hamas, by the way. Ghaza should be cleaned from Hamasdisease. But on the other hand: If they kill each other, it isn't our problem.
