2. Rabbinical letter, revised
Alan ,   Mérida, México   (12.28.10)
Please publish the letter, in full. I applaud R. Drukman''s statement (or, at least, the little bit Ynet published).
3. Racism light
Avram moshe   (12.28.10)
The Arab students in safad were Israeli citizens. The rabbis were not protecting Zionism but promoting racial segregation. Druckman may convince the rabbis can do no evil crowd but he is nothing short of racism with a bit of treife smaltz.

The question is - are they paranoid and imagining it or is it real. You know cults love an outsider against us approach to crippling their inductees from understanding they are victims of a cult. But then again, the nighbors would do such an explotation of equal rights. So where is the truth? Somewhere in between?
6. What makes Rabbi Drukman a leading Rabbi?
Eshkol Hakofer   (12.28.10)
1- As regards to the state, his Special Conversion Court was shamefully dissolved under Rabbinic pressure. The state didn't even attempt to defend him. 2- The Chief Rabbis hardly tried to defend him. Not even lip service. 3- His mizruchnik peers are in the process of " protective chareidisation". So what makes him leading? What is he leading? Where? Who invited him to soften the letter? Is the "letter" as written by him any more honorable? To whom?
7. Great news!!!
Avi ,   NYC, USA   (12.29.10)
The Nurenberg Laws were also softened eventually. Sexual relationship between a Jew and an Aryan were permitted when both participants were over the age of ninety.
8. #7 - what???
(01.03.11)
To many of these rabbis, the only exposure they have had to arabs are through media which only shows terrorists and enemy leaders. Many such as Durkman do not see the humanity in Arabs because they are so far removed from them. It would also be difficult for him to imagine people who do not have opinions as strong as he, Jew or Arab. Coexistence is simply not a value among many of the haredi Jews, who have little to no contact with the Arab world. This seems to be a case of an extremely vocal minority. Unfortunately, many rabbis have incredible influence in their follower's political opinions, which is bad for all israelis.
