Iran has gone from importing 130,000 barrels a day of refined petroleum to 19,000 barrels a day as of October. Gas prices just skyrocketed from 36 cents a gallon to $1.45 a gallon. Iran's unemployment rate which is estimated at anywhere from 12 to 22% is already straining the system and economists suggest that recent subsidy cuts will lead to rapid inflation, above what is unofficially estimated to be 20%

sjoerd van der velde ,   hoorn-the netherland   (12.29.10)
i strongly condemn the fragrant violations of human rights in iran e.g. what happened last year after elections in that country and in other countries where they are violated too. no nuclear arms (weapons of mass-destruction.) for any country. all countries have to get rid/to destroy them. no exceptions and privileges for not any single country/land/state/nation!
7. Thanks to Israel he is stronger
Chris.B ,   Australia   (12.29.10)
Israels continued obsession with the Iranian nuclear phantom will only backfire. Why empower Ahmadinejad all the time? Maybe to divert Israelies attention from their own problems. When you listen to Israeli and American media ,Iran is hell bent on developing nuclear weapons yet the Iranians still meet for negotiations,Why would they bother. If the American Government was not dominated by pro Israeli "think tanks" then the situation would be alot different. It was America who suggested to their pupper Shah that Iran would need nuclear power way back in the 70's. Had this American and Israeli friendly dictator still been in power nuclear power wouldn't be an issue!! Total hypocrisy.
8. #7 Meeting with Iran a waste of time
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.29.10)
The Regime has stated their nuclear program is not negotiable. The meetings are a delay tactic and historically lead to more sanctions. Ahmadinejad's style of leadership is to eliminate all opposition, create chaos and fear of outside enemies while he becomes the supreme dictator. Meanwhile, Iran's domestic problems are compounding under his leadership.
