61. Religious girls marrying Arabs
Ros ,   Tel Aviv   (12.30.10)
I think this has gone far enough - it is absolutely ridiculous to think that a religious family would allow their daughter to date anyone who is non-religious and which Arab would marry a religious Jew anyway.
62. Arabs are most racist people.
tejas ,   India   (12.30.10)
I haven't seen any Arab girl married to non-Arab. It is not about the choice of Arab woman. It is their doctrine. Show me just one Arab girl married to black guy and I will convert to Islam.
63. Rabbi's wives / Arabs are the enemy
Solange ,   USA   (12.30.10)
RACISTS!
64. Rami
American Sabrah ,   Givas Shmilkeh   (12.30.10)
The difference between spousal abuse from Jews and Arabs is that the Arab culture encourages and justifies wife beating which Judaism deplores.A Jewish man abusing his wife has nothing to do what Judaism preaches. He just happens to be prone to violence and is usually punished for it. If you think that's a racist statement then you have very little knowledge of the Middle Eastern culture in which women are viewed as property of men.
65. Merchant of Venice..
Jude ,   London, England   (12.30.10)
Read the comments posted.. many abundant in racist bigotry that is absolutely nothing to do with sustaining the Jewish people - its the opposite when nurturing hatred of your fellow man - this is not Jewish ethics - nor the teachings of The Book of Ruth - or Abrahams Tent - between Jewish & Arab extreme view - there is nothing to choose - A plague on all your houses .
66. I need a another letter from Rabbi`s wife
efew ,   US   (12.30.10)

Thank you for being a voice of reason, in this insane world of the ME.
68. #8 &2 Not without my daughter
Madeleine ,   Israel   (12.30.10)
That's the correct title of the book which I have read as well as having seen the film. So what if the guy was Iranian, he was a Moslem and once he got his wife and daughter amongst family m embers in Iran, their fate would have been sealed if not for the sheer bravery of the wife herself. Unfortunately, this is all too often the fate of Israeli (Jews) who marry Palestinians. they are trapped in Gaza or the West Bank. More than a few such stories have come to light over the years. It's not just a question of a Jew "marrying out" - mrrying a presumably civilized person. It's a question of a Jewish woman marrying a Moslem man. She becomes his chattel and is his - and by extension, his family's - to do with as he wishes. It's one thing ot have Arab friends, it's quite another to marry them.

Avi ,   NYC, US   (12.31.10)
Their habit of wearing wigs ridicules all of us boldies.
74. This is one way the arabs are slowly destroyin
jason white ,   afula,israel   (12.31.10)
us. They marry Jewish women and raise the children as moslims. They buy our land or apartments and move in. How many Jews have converted to islam here? How many new immigrants met arabs, married, converted and moved to their villages? I know of two. One man after his army service converted and became a very religious moslim. This has to stop and all means to stop it should be used. If young teenage Jewish girls are going out with arabs, arrest the arabs and her parents as well. Minors do not have to go out with men in their twenties to fifties.

Yes , marry who you like , but don't do it "blindly" [ as love is ] You know , there are already more than enough reasons for conflict in a couple , even with the same origin and culture . So think about adding a very harsh possibility to conflicts . What if a family member of one side is hurt by a member of the other's side people ? Think also at the future of the children . Will people consider them Jewish [ even if they are by Halacha ] ? A mixed couple can "work" when there are no big problems between the two sides's peoples , when both have the same culture and education , and even then .....

78. #23 A Qirresh--Mizrahi Jews are not Arabs
Rafi ("Iraqi" Jew) ,   NY/Jerusalem   (01.01.11)
With few exceptions we Israelis with roots in Arab lands dont think of ourselfs this way. Yes, our parents and grandparents lived in Arab countries like Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt Morocco etc. But we regard ourselves as Israeli Jews FIRST. Also, the fact is that the Arabs in those countrys most of the never looked at us and said the Jews were fellow Arabs--yes sometimes we had Arab friends in those countrys--but on the whole we were a separate people with a separate culture and religion. A few generations ago, the Jews in Baghdad had their own special dielect of Arabic mixed with Hebrew that the Muslims didnt speak, like the Jews in Poland spoke Yiddish (Jewish German). Our feet maybe were in Iraq, but our hearts in Zion the same as our Ashkenazi brothers. By my generation most of us Israeli Jews with Mizrahim background dont speak any Arabic (or Persian or whatever) anymore . (Not that theres anything wrong with knowing Arabic). So please dont try to impose on us all suddenly an "Arab identity" now that we are united with other Jews in our homeland when in the past we were exclude from your societys!
79. Exageration
zorro ,   far away   (01.01.11)
Come on! This is completely exagerated!!! To say that all arabs are enemies is pathetic...and this coming from rabbis...

The first Biblical inference to matrilinead descent; "You shal not intermarry with them; you shall not give your daughter to his son, and you shall not take his daughter for your son, for he will cause your child to turn away from Me and they will worship the gods of others." Deuteronomy 7:3-4

Birdi ,   Israel   (01.03.11)
If Jennifer is such a joke howcome her post is highlighted in red? Do you know what that means? It means that many of the posters here recommended her post, meaning they agreed with her post. The one who is a joke is you.
83. Good Advice
Moishe ,   Frederick, MD, USA   (01.21.11)
If I had a daughter and was living in Israel, I'd hope my wife gave the same advice to our daughter or to other daughters, mothers, etc. in our community. It's not racist to want Judaism and Jewish values to survive. It's also not racist, if you want to save your children from abuse, whether by someone outside your circle or within it (yes, Jewish men abuse too). I think as Jews, we need to start practicing Ahavas Yisroel first. We may disagree on certain issues, but if we don't start living more Jewishly, then our progeny will begin to seek elsewhere to find ourselves. Thank Hashem for orgs like Chabad, Aish, Yad L'Achim, etc.
84. We shouldn't hate anyone
Moishe ,   Frederick, USA   (01.21.11)
But, be wary of those who hate Israel or want to take our sons and daughters away from Judaism.
85. Rivkah is correct
walt gee ,   copperhill tn   (07.18.11)
Our family has had personal experience with this issue. A toddler was taken by her father to his own country because he was facing child and spousal abuse charges here. Blessedly, by the man's own stupidity he electrocuted himself. She was a teenager when she was repatriated. It is my understanding that she is still undergoing treatment for a number of issues.
86. #30, Hunh! Are you serious?
walt gee ,   copperhill tn   (07.18.11)
Half persons have no legal legitimacy according to the Qu'ran!
