1. Feet of clay
mea   (12.30.10)
These "supporters" should ask themselves if they would parrot these lines if the convicted rapist were from another village. Then they could also ask themselves if they question the judges in other cases; say the cases where defendants are Arabs. Are they automatically "drunk" on those verdicts too? The fact is, powerful men with weak morals are sometimes outpaced by their own deeds. This is what has happened to the rapist Katsav. He came from a town; a town that must now accept that their laurel wreathed hero has feet of clay, that he is a rapist.
2. Repentance - Tshuvah
Wade ,   NYC US   (12.30.10)
The guilty ex-president must do tshuvah to repent for his sins. The first step is to confess. Next he must express regret and commit himself never to repeat the crimes. He must beg forgiveness from his victims and express regrets to them. Halacha obligates him to beg at least 3x if they refuse. Without tshuvah, his sins remain a moral debit. How many Yom Kippurs have gone by without Moshe Katzav receiving a clean slate? Too many!
3. Village mob mentality
Avi ,   Israel   (12.30.10)
What a bunch of simpletons , just cant accept that Katsav is a serial sex offender. "but hes religious and a family man" said one resident. As if that was some kind of guarantee of morality !
4. No trust in the judicial system
A woman   (12.30.10)
After 3 years of trial by media day in and day out not convinced
5. 3 left activist judges 2 feminist 1 Arab
BADCHOICEOFJUDGES ,   china and israel   (12.31.10)
The choice of these 3 leftist activist judges was a bad one It will always leave a bad taste in the mouths of millions here regardless of the justice of the case.
