1. one way or another , always a reason to condemn Israel
rachel ,   usa   (01.01.11)
your damned if you do , your damned , your damned if you don't
2. NOT a Warcrime.Civilians riot in EU and Police use
Alan ,   SA   (01.01.11)
teargas. Even in my country.....Its recognised anti Riot measure all over the World.
3. Non-violent?????
Carl   (01.01.11)
How does hurling projectiles at police qualify as non-violent?
4. Erakat the serial liar. Remember Jenin "massacre"?
Cynic ,   USA   (01.01.11)
5. The WALL is here to stay!
Maurice ,   Montreal   (01.01.11)
Until there will be peace the wall will not go anywhere. Thanks to this wall the suicide bombers filtering into Israel from the West Bank have practically disappeared. The wall is necessary as long as the "Palestinians" don't change their criminal goals towards Israel. Also, using tear gas to disperse protestors is perfectly legal in all democratic countries. Only Israel's enemies and Jew haters will find the IDF at fault here.
6. logical lesson
i ,   jerusalem   (01.01.11)
If there was a war crime, there was a war. If there was no end to the war ( remember this is Bilin), we are still at war. While still at war, we do not give concessions for false peace.
7. WOW
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.01.11)
The pallies buried her real fast. No chance now of an autopsy to see the cause of her death.
8. Helpless nation??
Paul ,   Israel   (01.01.11)
A nation that instigates suicide bombings that killed more than 1000 innocent civilians, encourages them with promises of 70 virgins waiting for them in "heaven" and which idolizes these mass murderers, cannot claim "helplessness". Let us get one thing straight: if there weren't any suicide bomb attacks by terrorists infiltrating from the West Bank, there would be no need for the fence and it would not have been built. The cowardly tactic of targetting innocent civilians for bomb attacks, and then beseaching pity from the world and claiming "war crimes" when there are retaliations, is the direct cause for Israel seeking a non violent solution, hence the fence. If there were no terrorist attacks, there would be no wall. Simple, not astrophysics.

Birdi ,   Israel   (01.01.11)
I agree with you. Good & logical post.
10. War Crime?
Gabi   (01.01.11)
A war crime implies that two or more nations are at war. "Palestine" is not, nor ever was, a self-determining nation. There is no war crime here for that reason. Furthermore, how does Erekat reason that the use of teargas is a war crime? Should the IDF fire blueberry muffins at these savages who come looking for trouble, knowing they are going to find it?
11. #5 so innocent
frank ,   usa   (01.01.11)
Eighty-five percent of the amended route runs through the West Bank, and not along the Green Line. In areas where the Barrier has already been built, the extensive violations of human rights of Palestinians living nearby are evident.Even if we accept Israel 's claim that the only way to prevent attacks is to erect a barrier, it must be built along the Green Line or on Israeli territory end
12. "Appalling Crime" - Pals exaggerating again?
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (01.01.11)

Maybe it’s about land theft in the process? With the fantasy of chosen people for a land without people, brought from Russia, Ethiopia, and Europe, converts?
14. Thank you #11 & 13
Ray ,   US   (01.01.11)
Amazing how some speak to defend killing of a civilian Building the WALL is like building my fence through my neighbor yard to claim security Here is another fun fact There are no suicid bombers today because the palestinian groups are not sending any not because of the WALL
15. to#11:no such thing as "west bank"!only Judea & Samaria!
David   (01.01.11)
16. # 11
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.01.11)
Yes the only way to prevent suicide attacks in Israel is to have the barrier on their land. They are the ones who attack us with their suicide bombs etc Because of the wall, barrier suicide attacks have drastically been reduced. Like it or not the wall stays where it is & we Israeli citizens are safer.
17. Hamas kill people at weddings for the crime of playing music

WRONG. The amount of suicide bombers that have been THWARTED because of the wall, you do not read about as they are not published. Dont try twist the facts here whilst you sit comfortably & in safety in your home in the US.

Birdi ,   Israel   (01.01.11)
No Gabi, firing yummy blueberry muffins would be such a waste. How about firing pig's blood, from water cannons at them instead ?
22. War Crime
Alfred Inselberg ,   Raanana, Israel   (01.01.11)
The Arabs' incitement against Israel and the Jews is the REAL War Crime
23. #6 so much for logic
Eran ,   Singapore   (01.01.11)
congratulations, you took ur medicines today! you could be successful in manufacturing UFO, flying saucers , which people thought they originate from alien civilizations. So much for your twisted logic.
24. More Looniness From the PA
Aharon   (01.01.11)
Only in the "palestinian" fantasy land, where everything bad that happens to them is because of Israel and a war crime, would this be considered a war crime. In the rest of the sane world, this would be considered appropriate riot dispersal actions. If someone inhaled to much gas, it's an unfortunate circumstance, especially when there is a family history of it.
25. Oh, how tragic!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.01.11)
How truly, truly tragic. A piece of terrorist scum dies! Oh my, oh my, oh my! Tragic indeed. NOT! You get what you pay for. She paid. I guess she didn't realize the price. Well, now she does. I don't have a problem with that. Do you? Why?
26. 14 do you speak for PLO and Hamas military arm?
(01.01.11)
27. Have you ever been to Bil'in?
Jessica ,   Palestine   (01.01.11)
Everyone is welcome, and Israelis travel there every week to support the village. If you think these people are terrorists who hate Jews, come and see for yourself. They demonstrate because they love their land and won't sit back while it's stolen by illegal settlements and a wall whose path has been declared illegal by the Israeli government. The IDF has yet to move it back and return that portion of land to the village. And the quantity was excessive. I had trouble breathing at the other end of the village.

Birdi ,   Israel   (01.01.11)
Temper tantrums & threats wont get you your state. You DONT frighten us one bit. Tell your people to stop all forms of violence, tell your people to recognize that Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people. Tell your leaders to come to the negotiation table without pre-conditions. Then & only then can there be a chance for both sides to talk peace.Stop fighting us so that our & your children, the future generation can have a future with peace & quiet.

30. to nr. 22-war crime.
sjoerd van der velde ,   hoorn-the netherland   (01.02.11)
hatred excists on both parties: zionist (jewish) israel hates the palestinians/arabs (for excample i saw an election-meeting of yisrael beiteinu of avigdor lieberman in 2009 on tv and some people who were there, shouted: ""death to the palestinians and arabs" and there are also palestinians and arabs who want to wipe out zionist (jewish) israel of the map/of the face of the earth. we all know where this can lead to. saints donot excist in this world. perhaps in paradise or in heaven. i donot choose for one party. i choose for survival of mankind in justice, peace and prosperity for all of us. i donot hate anybody or any people. i donot agree with some ideologies e.g.: capitalism, fascism, national-socialism,zionism, islam(ism) and dictatorship/dictatorism, which i see as a threat to world-peace and to mankind. i prefer good civil and human rights, freedom of speech and expression and democracy and tollerance and respect and understanding although/even if we disagree (sometimes) with eachother! but with injustice i will never agree!
