1. The Israeli Foreign Ministry... hahahahahahaha.
seadog1946 ,   Ong's Hat, NJ USA   (01.03.11)
2. follow Thatchers example & put Histadrut in their place
zionist forever   (01.03.11)
The days of Israel being a socialist state thankfully are over and now its time to curb the powers of the Histadrut. It cannot be right that these people have the right to bring the country to a standstill because of budget cuts. We have got rid of socialism now we need to put the Histadrut into its place. This is the 21st century now not early 20th and the world is a very different place and if Israel doesn't want to be left behind the rest of the pack then union power must be curbed.
3. remember Ronal Reagan
Meir ,   Beit Shemesh   (01.03.11)
We all would like higher salaries. If these individuals refuse to go back to work, then Bibi should fire them all, like Ronald Reagan did with the Air traffic controllers in the 1980's. I am sure there are many people who would be very happy to accept one of the "new" "job vacancies" in the foreign ministry.
4. Here in US I am dreaming of Unions becoming
leo ,   usa   (01.03.11)
thing of the past. I wonder if Israel can succeed first. Idea is simple, do not like the job - get another one.
5. Shoot yourself in the foot Israel
Rachel ,   US   (01.03.11)
500 businessmen? Do you know how many jobs could have been created? If the Labor Party is already threatening to quit, take down the Histadrut.
6. Fire them!
Yossef   (01.03.11)
7. These idiots wage a battle on the expense of Israel's image
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (01.03.11)
They could have found other, more harmless ways to express their protest, yet chose to do their best to hurt Israel's image internationally. Fire all these ungrateful saboteurs on the double.
8. Because a few workers didn't get enough py the whole country
Omri ,   Israel   (01.03.11)
needs to pay?! Whoever started this should be looked in jail for a long time! Those possies, so much people can do their job instead of them, they dont need more pay. Dont like you're job? RETIRE! Did a horrible job in hasbara anyway.
9. Work actions should lead to termination
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (01.03.11)
We don't tolerate such actions in the US (though some states allow it - to their regret). These people have a *national* responsibility, and some of the worker rights they have in the private sector can not be tolerated as they amount to national blackmail. Don't like your job? Quit. These people have embarrassed the country enough.
10. Trade Unions destroy Trade - Get Rid of them !!!

14. so much for work ethics
dennis ,   NJ uSA   (01.03.11)
had occassion 12 yrs ago to attend a party at home of someone attached to the DC Israeli embassy. Lots of embassy staff were there. Their whole conversation for three hours was about shopping malls they visited and trips they took, "al cheshbon" the Isr and US govt connections. I told them they didnt need an Ambassador: they needed a travel agent. I have no sympathy for the "poor diplomats". Sorry.
15. me me me!!!
Norm ,   Minneapolis, MN, USA   (01.03.11)
I support Israel and unions, but I am appalled that unions can and would disrupt diplomatic activity. In this case, I would go for some union busting. I thought my country was the me me me capital of the world. Now I see that you want to give us some competition.
16. Who heads this foreign ministry? oh yes Lieberman
Eitan   (01.03.11)
