"Blood of The Martyrs" - I can understand why the Copts would want to preserve such a precious item. The Book of Revelation, last book in NT, has quite a lot of good, and encouraging, things to say about such martyrs. The 'Egyptian Pope' gives good counsel to the Copts. Fight the Good Fight. Daniel and his three friends would not have been protected by YHWH in the lions den and firey furnace if they had eaten unclean foods. Copts fast a lot but eat the wrong foods when they eat. They could learn a lot from Hezekiyah Haas' book "On Health and Healing" about clean and unclean foods and the risks associated with eating unclean foods.
