1. Who cares what the int'l point of view is? GET RID OF BARAK!
Get Rid of the ,   NINCOMPOOP Barak   (01.04.11)
2. No thanks ! focus on Syrian track.
Salma ,   Palestine   (01.04.11)
Not Jerusalem = No Peace No Return = No Peace No dismantling of the settlements = No Peace No apology for the Nakba= No Peace. See, The Syrian track is easier , just give back the Golan in exchange for peace with Syria ....any way Mr. Barak, We're here to stay , we will not fly anywhere , but we're not ready for any compromise anymore..... Enjoy with the Syrian ....good luck!
3. "no progress on the Syrian track"...
seadog1946 ,   Ong's Hat, NJ USA   (01.04.11)
that's very understandable... Israel will never give up the critically important fresh water sources of the Golan.
4. The problem is Barak accepts the Palestinian worldview
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (01.04.11)
Barak keeps harping on Labor being the leader of the "peace camp". He doesn't understand that the country is fed up with the term, and knows that it's a Palestinian red herring. The "peace camp" is identified as Labor and Meretz, both of whom keep yapping about "the peace camp" while the rest of the country understands that the Palestinians are not playing ball. Barak continues to lead Labor down the path of self-destruction. Israelis are not going to vote for the "peace camp", which we associate with blanket capitulation to the Palestinians in order to pretend that a Palestinian state will not be hostile, and that there will magically be "peace" with Hamas and the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades - which, by the way, are sponsored by our "peace partner" Fatah. We don't buy it. Instead of demanding that the Palestinians do quid pro quo and demonstrate their commitment to the 2-state solution, Barak is willing to cede the west bank for a promise. It won't work. The only thing we'll see is that Labor will get even fewer votes in the next election, while Meretz disappears from the Knesset. Israel will be a poorer country for it, but the "peace camp" has nobody to blame but themselves.
5. Salma no 2
TAHRIR QUDS ALYAHUDI   (01.04.11)
Not 1% (ONE PERCENT CHANCE) you will get JERUSALEM,or right of return,no dismanting of the settlements, neither apology for Nakba. Nakba no 2 will come soon B"H and you will run . Syria are welcome to make REAL WARM PEACE with Israel. Israel may give little way for Golan but not 100%.
6. perhaps we should focus on Israelis 4 a change
Avi Steinson ,   Tel Aviv   (01.04.11)
7. Re Salma
Andrew Brehm   (01.04.11)
We have Jerusalem. We are ready for peace. Problem solved. Middle-eastern Jews don't want to return to Arab countries. Problem solved. You can dismantle Arab settlements as quickly as you want. Problem solved. You can apologise for the Nakba whenever you want. Problem solved. I don't know what compromises we could possibly make. Jerusalem was a Jewith city before the Jordanians invaded it. And while it was a terrible time when Israeli Arabs abandoned the Jews to die, I think we can also forget about it now (unless you still want to apologise).
8. Barak, the failed PM, should just SHUT UP and teach
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (01.04.11)
Peres to do the same. These guys are over the hill and have nothing useful to contribute.
9. No higher priority than defeating Israeli left.
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.04.11)
Nothing poses a greater threat to Israel than leftist politicians and policies, even when they are carried out by supposedly patriotic governments. Virtually all of Israel's major problems are direct results of Israeli appeasement and retreat. Why did Israel have to fight our last Gaza War? Because we left Gaza. Why are we almost certainly going to have to fight in Gaza again? Because we left Gaza. Why did we have to fight out last Lebanon War? Because we left South Lebanon. There is no higher priority than defeating the Israel left. That is what we must focus on.
