as does all the fools who deny the flimsiness of this shallow insect existence. scum rises scum sinks and all but the seekers of the truth are to be rudely awakened after the long sleep. the creator of noach is available to all and the forefathers and foremothers and the cavalry is on the way ....

But you write to this Charles , he is living , can be seen , has a Email , house , is 100 % Jewish [ not because of a faraway Jewish grandfather ] . Since when are you Jewish , if you are ? Did you became so in order to enjoy a better life here ? Can you say the same thing about this "god" ? have you seen this ? can this send you an Email ? give me his phone number . And , only Jewish people and friends may say "dear Charles" . You don't belong to any of those categories .

Only G-D knows. And those who do not believe in His existence, and are looking for reasons, not to believe, should try to be honest with themselves.I do not believe in charlatans.Period. I do not keep my mind busy with that.I am not looking for articles were i can talk about that.It is inexisting for me. This is not the case of many atheists. They give the impression that their mind is full of , as they say a" non existing thing." Why are they obsessed by somerhing, they should not think about,as in their eyes it does not exist? It tells me,that they have a serious inner conflict. Their endangered Jewish soul is crying for help. Many atheists have a good heart. Why don t they help?It is most probably of fear, different kinds of fears. They think that if they decide to open the door to G-D,who knows what kind of transformations they will have to undergo, they won t have anymore control on their life.In reality it is quiet the opposite. They can control every change they want to do on their own rythme.Nobody is forcing anything. It is worth the try.It is a new life, full of fresh air, where you can again breath deeply and joyfully.

35. Dear Charles (once again)!
Vladimir ,   Jerusalem   (01.09.11)
Your comment that you are "100 % Jewish [ not because of a faraway Jewish grandfather ] . Since when are you Jewish , if you are ? Did you became so in order to enjoy a better life here?" - smacks of pure racism. You insult many Russian immigrants who became Israelis on the account of their Jewish grandfather according to the Law of return, who honestly work and serve in the army (and are not religious). But as for me, you are wrong. I have the full right to call you "Dear Charles" by your own criterion ("only Jewish people and friends may say "dear Charles"). For your knowledge - I'am 100% Jewish, even more Jewish than you are. My parents were born in the Ukrainian stetl and there mother tongue was Yiddish. My mother's uncle came to Eretz Israel in 1880s and was one of the founders of the Yishuv. My real name is purely Jewish (Vladimir is a pen-name). In the former Soviet Union I was brought up as an atheist. At school I was taught that only old, uneducated and silly people could believe in god. It took me a long way to distinguish between the lie and the truth. Atheism is a lie and Torah is the truth. But that's not the point. Even though I was an atheist, I still loved all the Jews regardless of their convictions, because of our common suffering and common destiny. I still love all the Jews, religous and non-religious, right and left, but not the those who hate other Jews only because they dress differently and don't share their opinions. Your hateful attacks on the charedi Jews and unjustified accusations are a personal insult to me, my wife, my daughter and my son in law, to all my friends-charedim, who work, serve in the army and do many important things for the Jewish people and Israel.

You wish! Your Post-Zionist Anti-Jewish species won`t be around in Israel in 20 years from now. So just cool it and relax, the Charedim ain`t going anywhere....Sorry!

Don't talk to me via others . People who don't know the difference between "not used for years" and "new" should refrain discussing serious matters . They only show their ignorance .

ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.09.11)
I could have written "and others"as you did.Sorry. As for "not used for years" and "new", is it so difficult for you to understand ,that there is one and the same rule for both categories? I did not make this rule.I only repeated what an orthodoxe Rabbi said. Please don t ask me questions about Halaha anymore. I guess i have to get used, that you are moody .Like big stars.
39. Quick note on Jewishness
John DeLancy ,   Alaska, USA   (01.10.11)
If you are a Jew, it means that you are part of a chosen people. Chosen by Whom? If you are a Jew, it means that Israel is your promised land. Promised by Whom? If your great-grandmother is a gentile convert to the faith of Judaism, that does not make you "less of a Jew" than someone who does not have such a blemish on his pedigree. At least, that is what King David would say. Or do you think you are more of a Jew than David the king? David was chosen King of Israel. Chosen by Whom? Without the G-D of Israel, a Jew is not chosen, the land is not promised, and both the Jerusalem and it's greatest king have no more nor less legitimacy than Al Quds or whoever the Palestinian Arabs would have as their leader should they achieve their stated goal of taking your city away from you. I'm not telling you not to forsake the LORD your G-D, because the Torah already tells you this. I am telling you that if forsake the G-D of Israel, then you insult the same Ya'akov/Israel who taught his children not to forsake his G-D, and in addition, by denying the G-D of Israel, you deny your only reason to be considered a chosen people, to live in a promised land, and to have Jerusalem as your capital.

You are wrong . A non kosher non used for years is in a very different category than new ones . Don't you know this ?

My comments were adressed only to you . I know immigrants of the FSU , with whom i have to speak Yddish , they unde4rstand it better as Hebrew . You are not in my criteria for being a Jew . You don't understand everything i wrote regarding Charidi Jews . Tell me where did i attack ALL the charidim ? You more Jewish as i am ? try to tell it to the Chinese people , maybe one of them will believe you . But this made me laugh . A personal insult to you ? not my problem . It's your own fault . Don't call me "dear" to begin with .

In this case,as both have not been in the mikve, both need to go in the mikve.I don t know anything about this halaha;i just repeated what i was told.

So a non kosher set can made kosher only by going to the mikve ? I suppose you did'nt understand well what you were told . I have also looked at info regarding this question . My Thomas set can't be kasherised , i was told this week .

I have great respect for your conscience. The first person i asked, phoned somewhere in Bne Brak, and the answer was:we don t give the permission. As he did not say:it is forbidden,i asked somebody else who asked a 100%orthodoxe Rabbi of a not so orthodoxe community, who said what i told you.Only a glass set was not allowed. I am very impressed that you wanted to make sure, after i told you that you can use your set, if it is not a glass set.

Is your name Jewish? No. Are you a Jew? Maybe, but I doubt considering your hateful comments towards religious Jews and the Jewish religion. You say that G-d doesn't exist because you can't see Him. Can you see the radio waves? Do they exist? What primitive people these "modern" atheists! My advice to you, not so dear Charles, buy good spectacles for yourself. Maybe this will help you to see the world around.
47. The golden calf
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (01.11.11)
Its time to replace the strict God of Israel with the liberal god of sweden (if the swedish antisemites will agree)the sweads celebrate and dance around the golden ox (they have more gold ) and enjoy a good life, its rare for a swede to marry, but they do have families, but they live in sin, and still their god loves them, imagine 300 years with no war, they must be doing somthing right, maybe because they are not ruled by Babas.

Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.11.11)
Tell me where i wrote hatefull words against ALL the religious Jews . Then you may talk . Radio waves can be seen on a oscilloscope and the music they bring with them heard on a radio . Maybe something you don't know . Regarding my name , it's not a pen name , but my "official" one as they did not accept the Jewish name at the town hall that my father ZL wanted to give me . Regarding me being Jewish , your doubds again show your lack of "yddishkeit" and Jewish education .
49. To Ora , 45
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.11.11)
Yes , dear Ora , when i'm doing something , in this case a Kosher kitchen , i want it to be done seriously . Thank you for trying ti help me . I always knew that a glass set can be used indifferently for milk and meat . No need to kasherize it either . Bringing kitchen ware to the mikve is not so required , but mostly done by ultra religious people . As far that i remember my Mother ZL did'nt do it . In our birth country i knew many shomre Shabbat people , colleagues and so . Some told me that they don't do it . For me this chapter is closed , will try to find a person who can use this non kosher set .

You really DESERVE an Israeli name.I treated myself with one i like ORA.My friend thinks it suits me better than my galut name and from time to time she calls me with my Israeli name.It makes me feel like i am born here. It is great to live in Israel, and also ,to have met, such an interesting caracter, like you on internet.

Again thanks for your friendly words . Do you know that you are a "threat" to seculars ? When they read your posts some must think : look what a nice religion this Ora promotes , full of love and tolerance , we must try to know more about it . There is of course an "antidote" to you : those hatefull fanatic religious guys we see and read here . And they are the majority . Ouf , weak seculars are'nt attracted anymore . I have of course a Jewish name , used the rarely times i'm in contact with religion . For administrative reasons i did'nt take an Israeli one .

I have a lot of satisfaction of the way you handled the Kosher issue of your kitchen. You were not influenced by me nor by anybody else,You decided what is the right thing to do.It shows me i did not misjudge you.You are a strong and clever personnality. That s why i confide ,that it will be the same concerning your life decisions, that NOBODY,not me nor anybody else will have a say there .It is ONLY what YOUR REAL YOU wants that counts.Good luck.
53. The anger at the poster right or not?
Mi Ani ,   Israel   (01.22.11)
Folks forget the poster, forget what any Rav today says & just look at what is WRITTEN in the book of Yehhezkiel (also something similar in Yermiyahu) There it is WRITTEN thousands of years ago by our prophets that at a time close to the end of days, near the final Geula, the Mount Carmel will burn & people will from all over to fight the blaze. This happened before our very eyes. It also states very clearly that the blaze was due to idol worship there! Go argue with the Prophets!
