1. Note, the above "recognitions" are contrary to both...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (01.08.11)
...UN Security Council Resolution, 242, and to bilateral agreements between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) that accepted 242 as the basis for all peace talks and agreements, including the Oslo process. And since the PLO is behind the developments that we witness, why should any Jew, within or without his/her nation-state of Israel, have any faith in any agreements signed by the PLO/PA...??!!
2. How about getting some huevos and making eveyone move their

3. South America has a history of helping Nazis
John ,   Wellington NZ   (01.08.11)
After WWII many Nazis escaped to South America where they were protected - South America has a long history of being anti Jewish and helping those who persecute Jews. Nothing new here.
4. Know the history of S.American countris re: Israel
Howie ,   Montreal, Canada   (01.08.11)
According to the book "The Secret War Against the Jews" which documents how other nations treated Israel and why from before its founding in 1948 until the end of the 20th century, all the S. American countries only voted for "Partition" because Israel and the USA blackmailed them threatening to expose their past Nazi dealings through Rockefeller. No surprise they support the oil-rich despotic Arab countries of 1.6 billion people against less than 6 million oil-poor, democratic Jewish Israelis now. Most South Americans' ancestries are Spanish and they remember the Spanish Inquisition. Do you? Plus, many S. Americans are the descendants of Nazis. These are not the allies (droids) you're looking for.

from author of the book you referred to: ''In the dying days of the Third Reich, he said, the British secret service decided that the new danger to the world came from communism and there was a need to recruit eastern Europeans to fight this threat. "Without telling their respective governments, the Canadian external affairs and U.S. state departments gave passports to the dregs of Hitler's army - most went to Toronto, and the rest went to the United States." After Loftus' 60 Minutes expose, Alti Rodal, who worked for the Deschenes Commission investigating Nazi war criminals in Canada, interviewed him. "I gave her all the information I had, and it was included as an appendix to the commission report. With every word blacked out. That's the truth about Canadian history. "You've been lied to," Loftus charged. "Next to Argentina, Canada has the highest population of Nazis in the Western hemisphere."

the west recruited heaps of Nazis to help them in the cold war against the USSR after WW2. They made an important contribution to saving the western world from communism

11. "Palestinians", the term the Arabs of Eretz Israel took...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (01.08.11)
...for themselves, interestingly, is derived from the Hebrew, P'lishtim, that made its way to Latin and eventually to English. The origin of the phrase means invaders, those who invaded the country from the sea (Crete?) and occupied portions of it in ancient times. The Arabs of the Land, in other words, have never had an indigenous term that would identify them as a unique people - perhaps because they have never constituted such a people...?? - thus, their choice, in the late 1960s only, to be called after the Invaders, the P'lishtim.
12. Chile?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.08.11)
Wow. I am thoroughly impressed (well, not). One does wonder, however, why NOT ONE SINGLE ARAB OR ISLAMIC STATE has joined the very-far-away South American countries in recognizing a "Palestinian" state. Anyone have any ideas? I have LOTS. I'd just to hear yours, first. P.S. I also have the answers, but you shouldn't let that deter you in posting your pathetic replies.
13. To: John at No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.08.11)
Correct. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. The Chileans have yet to answer for Colonia Dignidad. Besides -- Chile is not exactly what you can characterize as a world player. But they better not screw around too much. The United States is the largest importer of Chilean fruit, fish and -- most importantly -- copper. Chile would do well not to incur the wrath of the United States Congress. Chile should have thought about its "most favored nation" trade status with the United States before jumping on the ersatz "Palestinian" bandwagon, because that trade status is about to go bye-bye, REAL SOON NOW. The United States Congress is NOT a big fan of the ersatz "Palestinians." An even smaller fan of its wanna-be-important-nation- far-far-away supporters. I truly hope, for their sake, that the Chileans haven't hitched their cart to the wrong horse. (Oh, hell. I KNOW the answer to that one! They have, and they will pay rather dearly for their transgression.) Chile. Not exactly a world power, you know? Not exactly a stable country, either. And about to sink further down the sewer. Asta la vista, baby!

16. recognition by the Americana's
tiki ,   belgium   (01.08.11)
Why wouldn't they? They go with the 'trend and it doesn't cost them a 'cent. Besides, they were never known as 'jew lovers as we all know. Being polite, understanding, democratic or right NEVER works in politics or in the world. You always stay the 'sucker being taken for a ride! When will Israel//Jews learn this lesson?
17. Chile netiher joined other SA countries...
Orly ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.08.11)
...nor recognized any existing Palestinian state. No resolution was made in the Chilean senate. A statement was prepared to be read reiterating Chile's existing position on a Palestinian state. "Chile recognizes a Palestinte that is a free, independant and sovereign state." "The State of Chilie has always and consistantly supported the right of the Palestinian People to exist as en independant State, coexisting in peace with the State of Israel," explained Alfredo Moreno, Minister of Foreign Relations. "At the same time," he continued," Chile has completely endorsed the right of The State of Israel to exist within secure and internationally recognized borders." The statement, which clarifies a policy that has always existed, does not even specify where on earth the "Palestinian People" have the right to statehood (only that it recognizes such a right) - and Chile is not foreign to the issue, having the greatest Palestinian population of any country aside from Jordan and Israel. The statement was more limiting than expanding. A resolution to recognize an existing Palestinian state, in contrast to the right for such a state to exist, is still in the works by one of the parties in the senate, but sees little chance of being passed. The statement regarding clarified borders for the state of Israel is in line with Chile's historical approach to the importance of clearly defined international borders, an issue that led to the unpopular Pacific War but is considered one of the most important battles in the history of Chile (and whose resulting borders remain etched in the minds of every citizen as the uncompromising reality of Chile's sovereignty and the definition of the country's very entity). Chile is trying to push the same mentality on Israel to stregnthen its international standing and its internal and external policies of self sovereinty, which Chile views as an essential precondition to Israel forging a peace agreement with a still non-existing state.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.08.11)
Go ahead, make your "X." It isn't exactly as if the ersatz "Palestinians" have ever made an "O." The next move for you is Jordan. Deal with it, and get your poisonous, violent and terrorist selves the hell out of Medinat Israel. You are a throwback to a blood-drinking, cannibalistic savage. It's high time you moved off the stage. By the way -- a handful of geographically distant countries "recognizing" a fictitious state doesn't count for much. Have you noticed that no other region in the world has chosen to jump on your pathetic bandwagon? Perhaps they are perfectly content to have the Chileans accord you Tierra del Fuego. They CERTAINLY do not want you around them and, quite frankly, NEITHER DO WE. Good bye. Don't let the door slam you in your hindquarters on your way out of Eretz Israel ha'Shlemal. P.S. Not to add insult to injury, but it is not "make an X." It's "mark an X." If you're going to use English-language idioms, then at least learn them. You don't have to thank me. I think of it as a public service.

Aha! We agree! Sixty-three years of ersatz "Palestinian" illegally occupying and squatting on OUR LAND is MORE than enough! Start packing. Maybe the Chileans will let you into Santiago, but I wouldn't count on it. In the event that they do, I certainly do hope your Spanish is up to the task, chica!

24. World's patience with Israel has run out
r cummings ,   uk   (01.08.11)
Israel has dragged its feet on talks for 43 years, while trying to acquire and settle Palestine in violation of intl law. But it's run out of road now, no one else is buying the Israeli masquerade any more. The West Bank and Gaza were NOT given to Israel in 1947 and it has no legal right to one dunam of land or to settle one Jewish Israeli there. All the made up historical, ethnic, racist, and pseudo-legal arguments from the Zio extremists - Sarah B's rant a good example - cut no dash whatsoever outside Israel and only stiffen the international resolve to see an independent Palestine free of the Israeli jackboot ASAP.
25. Obama is determined to create Palestinians state in 2 years.
M.C., Israel   (01.08.11)
Palestinians know that within 2 years the US will not oppose a UN declaration of independence for Palestinian state. But it will be vague enough, and Jordan will remain a candidate for this state.
26. This move is to pressure US and a trap if US vetoes in UNSC
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (01.08.11)
Brazil is the main driver behind this and far more dangerous for US, since Israel will not stop building while US is blocking UN action. Brazil is trying to create a power block, with S. American, Muslim world and China to counter US and EU. Russia and India are still on the sidelines and could shift the balance of world power at some point, 2025 is when US becomes weakest with 1/3 of work force over or near 65. The removal of US dollar as world reserve currency could be the first step with Wall St. and banking next.

29. #3.John: Kicking dead horses!
Thomas ,   Dixieland USA   (01.08.11)
Please remember, the "old Nazis" of the Eichmann class are all dead, either by hanging or - unfortunately - naturally. The new, equally virulent antisemitism coming from the neo-Marxists like Chavez and the pro-Palestinian So. American left. However kicking the "Nazi Horse" is much safer and PC than to name our mortal enemies by their true moniker.
30. #.26 Bloodyscot: Newton's law
European ,   River Danube   (01.08.11)
Americans are uneducated in World History but be assured that Newton's Law is valid in politics too. As soon as a country, or a group of countries becoming too powerful, suddenly a counterweighting opposing force will emerge too. This dichotomy can be observed trough human history and the history of nations. You cannot focus your Israel hatred on said country only for you will inadvertently step on other people's toe too who will then support your enemy. As for your prediction about the future here is what your nemesis correctly said: "The Unknown As we know, There are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know There are known unknowns. That is to say We know there are some things We do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, The ones we don't know We don't know. " (Rumsfeld)
