31. To @ 20, Observer.
~~Lengualima~~ ,   I   (01.10.11)
To 20, Observer: 1. It is not for Israel, or you, decide what to do with your money U.S. is a problem that applies to the United States. "I think you're not an American citizen. 2. U.S. not only gives aid to Israel but to many countries, including Egypt, Pakistan, Iraq, PA, others, their contributions are more than 22.000 billion a year, is the largest contributor of international assistance. 3. Joseph Sisco, a former Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern and South Asian affairs, once told Israeli author Shmuel Katz, “I want to assure you, Mr. Katz, that if we were not getting full value for our money, you would not get a cent from us.” In fact, Israel has long been America’s biggest strategic bargain...
32. Well, I'll tell ya, zionist forever
Cameron ,   USA   (01.10.11)
You & your fellow Israelis had better make damn sure you spend the next two years truly convincing your brethren in the States that putting Obama or Clinton into office in 2012 would be literally screwing Israel into the floorboards. You have your own US election work to do.
33. Out of the frying pan, & into the fire, eh #13?
Cameron ,   USA   (01.10.11)
Good luck, mate, you'll need it.
34. Stll American Jews Support Her

35. aid to Israel benefits the US, but
observer   (01.10.11)
benefits to the United States of having Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and the Palestinians at peace with Israel, as U.S. allies, pursuing moderate policies, are incalculable, in comparison.
36. To @ 35, Observer. Incalculable???
~~Lengualima~~ ,   I   (01.10.11)
When you say priceless benefits, which do you mean?. To those of 9 / 11, 3,000 dead. The attempt blow up a plane in Michigan. Or the several attempts to plant bombs in several U.S. cities. I see that the benefits are "incalculable. "
37. 12
zionist forever   (01.10.11)
Israel gets very little in financial aid from the US anymore. As finance minister under Sharon Bibi negotiated with George Bush an end to financial aid and in exchange military aid would be raised to $3 billion. Military aid benefits the US more than Israel as its nothing more than a subsidy to the US arms industry. If you are looking for wasted American money then look no further than Abbas. Since becoming president Obama has donated around $1 billion cash handout to the palestinians and even in the post Arafat era there are still very few checks to make sure the money is being spent on the purpose for which it was donated. That $1 billion handout doesn't help the US economy or act subsidise the US arms industry its a present.
38. To observer, Who need luck!
~~Lengualima~~ ,   I   (01.10.11)
4. If you're European and you know how important it was U.S. economic aid to Europe after the Second World War, to help lift the economy destroyed, Marshall Plan, 40,000 billion $. Why Europe if, and Israel does not? 5. I think you're a UK citizen, UK received help not only militarily but economically during the last war, and beyond. Why do you criticize Israel, receive the same benefits as your country? 4. To the Editor: What about censorship, mentioning the word Sharia law is not worthy of publication.
39. #35 NON-OBSERVER
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.10.11)
I wasn't quite certain before, now I am, you’re out of your cotton picking mind "Palestinian's at peace with Israel" Instead of merely pretending to Observe, how about understanding what you claim to be observing ? All those rockets being fired out of Gaza, is that really your conception of Peace ? Syria at peace, no fool, that's merely a lull in the years of warfare, Assad is still banging his war drums My personal opinion is that you have extreme difficulty seeing beyond the tip of your nose and that you’re the one that’s in need of observation, in a restricted secure environment
40. Agree with #27.28.29 -The truth hurts Observer & split,
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (01.14.11)
Observer, and split - 2 sour peas in a pod.......They just want to slam Israel despite any facts or truth that would cause a " normal " person to listen and learn. Observer and split, -- they don't care about truthful facts. They just make up their own " facts " as they blindly and hatefully go along trying to hurt Israel with their freshly half-baked up " facts " ..
