1. I agree with Peled. But what about the MKs?
Howard K   (01.12.11)
Why don't they pressure the PM more effectively? They represent the people, or so we think. You would expect them to show more commitment to the voters. Or is it only at election time? Right wing MKs such as Reuven Rivlin, Benny Begin and Michael Eitan voted against a Knesset probe on NGOs funded with EU money. What's their explanation? Those NGOs business is to delegitimize Israel and make trouble. Strange allies.
2. People Voted for Bibi but Got Barak!
Marc A. ,   Chashmonaim, Israel   (01.12.11)
Just another reason to vote for the party that REALLY represents building ALL of Israel, The National Union.
3. sacred cow
Marcel ,   Florida   (01.12.11)
Obama's poodle Netanyahu is the sacred cow of Likud which has become anything but right wing . This is how the phony Netanyahu gets away with his long standing treachery. Lieberman is a breath of fresh air because unlike Netanyahu he has a spine and says it like it is.
4. Peled just another yes-man for Bibi
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (01.12.11)
Wow, what spine this guy has... NOT! Great leadership and ideology from Peled, who appears to be unable to challenge the failings of his own leader, and tells us that we should do it for him. There definitely is a construction freeze here in the high hills of Judea. Sorry to hear that a senior Likud member, Peled, will raise the issue at the Likud assembly. How nice of him. How ineffective he shows us he is.
5. Shame on you, Peled
Salma ,   Palestine   (01.12.11)
Why not tell the truth to the settlers?! The whole world against them, the issue is not Barak or Netanyahu, the issue is that this land is occupied and the "Israeli presence" here is illegal and illegitimate. Enough to mislead the people on that point, let them look for a quiet life and permanent homes.
6. To #2: Actually they voted for Livni and got Shas!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (01.12.11)
The article highlights the failings of Netanyahu. He is so busy saving his "Government" and he is neglecting the people who voted for him. He has betrayed the right-wing and has resorted to "buying" Shas and the small right wing parties. 44 people died in the Carmel fire and the responsible Minister continues as if nothing happened and he is trying to but public opinion with NIS800 million which will probably be blocked in some underhanded way by the Treasury. What many don't seem to realize is that Israel internationally is somewhere between a laughing stock and a pariah state thanks to Netanyahu's Foreign Minister who the PM can't control! Wh is running the country? Lieberman, Barak or the Rav Ovadia Yosef? People, you knew what you were getting from the last Bibi disaster. You made your bed, now lie in them!
7. Mind boggling
HCQ ,   USA   (01.12.11)
With so many political parties in Israeli government I don't understand how one gets consensus. I don't understand how anything gets accomplished. At least the lefties in Likud are revealing themselves...Michael Eitan's true colors are really standing out, non?
