1. Watch wait and see
(01.14.11)
let's see how this all plays out
2. No civil war why ?
tea man ,   marjayoun   (01.14.11)
Israel has been unable to defeat Nasrallah over the past coule of decades. They have also been unable to assassinate him over the same period. This alone shows that Nasrallah is worth of the respect of Israel although no Israeli would ever admit to it. Nasrallah, unbeatable and unkillable. These are not my opinions. These are facts, plain for anybody to see. Nasrallah is an idol in Israel. Like any idol, his every move and his every word command headlines. Do Israelis really care if the Lebanese form a new government? Do Israelis really care who knocked off the elder Hariri, the corrupt anti-semite? Of course they don't. Israelis care about Nasrallah. It's an obsession
3. "there will never be war between Sunnis, Shiites..."
William ,   Israel   (01.14.11)
"if the Sunnis and other ethnic factions abide by Shia will of increased power for the minority population in Lebanon, supported by Hizbullah" I believe this is what Nasrallah meant to say.
4. @ #2, tea boy in margarine
Chatich   (01.14.11)
Yes I care about nasrallah, much in the way I care about hemorrhoids. It's an 'O'bsession.
5. The serpent
ג'ון הנביא   (01.14.11)
is coiling itself around Israel readying a strike
6. BACK TO THE FUTURE
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.14.11)
A new round of interfactional fighting, with the Christians squeezed in the middle It seems that if the Lebanese are not fighting among themselves, this time with the assistance of Iran via Hezbollah,, it wouldn't be Lebanon as the world has come to know it
7. #2 tea man
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.14.11)
It seems that every time there's a threat to his life, Nasrallah skulks away and hides in Syria or a deep bunker, far away from where the danger is If Israel were to really root him out, there's wouldn't be anything left of poor Ole Lebanon In the last war, half of Lebanon was destroyed, do you really want to make it 100% Israeli's care, Lebanon has been a nut house since the French terminated their Mandate. .Nobody, Israel most of all, doesn't want perpetual warfare in Lebanon, it's not to anyone's interests, with the exception of Iran
8. HOW LAUGHABLE THE TRUTH...Is a
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (01.14.11)
"a deliberate attack on the Shiite group." to quote the Nasrallah, the liar. It is typical of tyrants to label the truth as an attack on them. What could be sillier. When you have nothing but lies to fall back on, make it the biggest lie you can think of, Nasrallah follows the old dictate. When the Fat Man comes out of hiding, petrified that the Israeli's will kill him, maybe some will listen. Now he's just a scared little rabbit hiding like a rat in a hole. Making threats and false statements with little if any credibility except those die hard followers who can't think for themselves.
9. This is really becoming tiresome....
Malone ,   Hfx   (01.14.11)
...Who really cares any more? Let these moronic arabs kill each other off and be done with it. Personally,I'm sick and tired of the bunch of them.
10. wahtch and see
tony ,   ny usa   (01.14.11)
Nasralah dosnt give adam about lebanon. If he has to kill his own ppl he will do it without thinking. Anyway whatever he does is without thinking. And I'm very sure this is going to be a civil war witch is very good for Israel. I hope they kill each other and then come to israel for help
11. Sunnis Shiites Al-Jazeera Nasrallah.. OH ENOUGH
Alex ,   UK   (01.14.11)
..enough with that garbage.. when they already let breathe to normal people not interested in their existence..
12. 3 - Shia are the majority in Lebanon
Daniel   (01.14.11)
And Hezbollah's coalition got 55.6% of the vote (though a minority of seats due to Lebanon's skewed religious quota system) at the last election. It is the Hariri/Geagea grouping which is the minority in Lebanon.
13. Nasrallah will not allow civil war unless
tea man ,   marjayoun   (01.14.11)
the dark forces start the boggy game This alone shows that Nasrallah is worth of the respect of Israel although no Israeli would ever admit to it. Knocked out by Israel Of course they don't. Israelis care about Nasrallah. It's an obsession that shall kill
14. war?
Salma ,   Palestine   (01.14.11)
It is very true that Lebanon can operate without government. And the people are used to it. While I do not think this will result in war, it will deepen the peoples’ sense of despair of Lebanon ever being politically stable and therefore economically reliable.
15. #2 - "If this....then must be this"
William ,   Israel   (01.14.11)
The extent of your limited logic is obvious in your posts. Does Israel respect Nasrallah? What's to respect in a racist Islamist? Israel could easily have exterminated Nasrallah but we learned early on, getting rid of one rat doesn't necessarily mean the end of rats. A new psycho always replaces them. He lives because Israel lets him live....now on the other hand, how he fairs against Tehran and elements in Syria is anybody's guess. Mugniyeh didn't do so well....in the most secure neighborhood in all of Syria.
16. #13 - Nasrallah also promised not to use weapons on Lebanese
William ,   Israel   (01.14.11)
and we see how he kept that promise in 2008. Nasrallah made it quite clear - if they get indicted, Lebanon will burn...and as he promised, he will escalate steps against the Lebanese govt and factions until they throw the UN Tribunal out of Lebanon and call it a farce...which no one has done yet. "Nasrallah is an idol in Israel"...and like idols, they are eventually destroyed like Ba'al.
17. Israeli interests,,,,,
galilean mom ,   Israel   (01.14.11)
Israel is only interested in Lebanon and their eternal internal strife, because it can directly effect Israel, if things get so bad and they decide to attack Israel with missiles. If only they would grow up and become responsible world citizens, throwing out the Syria/Iranian influences. We might even sign a peace treaty with them too, and then we could drive up to Beirut for some shopping....ah..the pipe dream lives on and on and on.....
18. #13 tea man, what are you putting in
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.14.11)
your tea Since you claim that Nasrallah is unkillable, try and explain why that every time there's is danger, he goes into hiding ? Dark Forces, you must be thinking of Iran, they're stirring the pot throughout a good portion of the M.E. Wake up, Lebanon is burning, Iran is holding the match and pouring gasoline on the fire
19. #14 Salami , YES! War !!
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.14.11)
Dont' think so hard, Lebanese are prone to fighting among themselves and will do so at the drop of a grenade You only have to review the history of Lebanon from the time the French terminated their Mandate, it's been virtually constant civil war with short periods of peace intervening You know even less about Lebanon than you do about Palestine, and that's saying quite a bit
