Samaria and repatriate its Arab residents to Jordan. " Want to bet? If you're right I'll stop posting on Ynet. If you're wrong you will stop posting on Ynet or at least use your real name, Sarah BS. Is it a deal or are your true feathers showing?

Hilarious! The only thing about Sarah BS's 'predictions' that you can take for granted is that they will never come true. Oh I think I'll bookmark this one so come winter I can remind her about her folly.

"trickle"? Hardly a week goes past without a Latin American country recognizing Palestine. What an imbecilic statement to make as the majority of nations outside latin America have *already* recognized and/or have diplomatic relations with the state of Palestine! Here Sarah BS this is a simple map by which you can educate yourself: http://tiny.cc/wqo7m
64. #40 Zionist forever with his Zionist hasbara
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor   (01.14.11)
Still peddling Joan Peters's long discredited phony 'thesis'. Even Zionist scholars ridicule her. You may fool those with little knowledge about the history of Palestine, but not me. There is overwhelming scholarship now about the period before the first Zionist settlers immigrated to Palestine in the 1880s. Since 1840 Palestine went through a period of transformation (the Tanzimat reforms). The local economy experienced considerable growth between 1856 and 1880, accompanied by a marked population increase. The economic upsurge was primarily due to changes in the system of agriculture, which became more commercialised and connected to the outside world. Palestine exported Jaffa oranges long before the first Zionist settler set a foot in Palestine. Mark Twain is of course always put forward by Zionist propaganda in the effort to prove that Palestine was an empty desolate land. Twain said the same of Greece and other Mediterranean countries. His knowledge of Palestine was quite limited. It is not for nothing that he calls his book The Innocents Abroad. I have it in my library next to other travel books and books describing Palestine in the 19th century, like the one by W. Thomson, who was a missionary in Syria and Palestine for many years and knew the area and its people well. Thomson and other talked extensively about the manners and customs of the indigenous Palestinian arab population (both sedentary and nomad), because they saw in them many similarities with those described in the Bible. Palestine's farming communities had always been there. If there is anyone who has a right to the land it is the Palestinian fellah. To those who have an open mind I suggest the following titles: Palestine in Transformation 1856-1882 by Alexander Scholch, A History of Palestine from the Ottoman Conquest to the Founding of the State of Israel by Gudrun Kramer and The Rise and Fall of a Palestinian Dynasty: The Husaynis 1700-1948 by Ilan Pappe. Especially the last book, describing the Husayni's continuous presence at the top of a complex structure in Jerusalem throughout Ottoman rule (1517-1917) attests to the falsity of the common view pushed by Zionist propagandists like zf that Palestine was an empty, desolate land. On the contrary there is a growing number of scholarly books that demonstrate that Palestine long had a society and an economy.

I am always amused that some people try and use Mark Twain as some form of 'authority' on the demographics in the ME during the 1800's even though he was nothing of the sort! Here what Twain said about Greece in this 'travel guide' (Innocents Abroad) book: "We saw no plowed fields, very few villages, no trees or grass or vegetation of any kind, scarcely, and hardly ever an isolated house. Greece is a bleak, unsmiling desert, without agriculture, manufactures, or commerce, apparently." (The Innocents Abroad, Chapter 33 - p. 203) From Twain’s description above one would think that Greece was a barren wasteland devoid of people yet despite Twain’s description Greece was host to 4.5m people in 1800 and 6m people by 1900. The only reason people like you cite Twain's 'travel guide' book is because they *cannot* cite any actual respected/academic works, reports, studies, etc on the demographic in the region of Palestine as they clearly show that Jews where only a tiny minority of the overall population of Palestine throughout the centuries. Zionist forever I suggest you pick up a history book and note that Arabs (both Muslim and Christian) have been living in the region of Palestine for decades and were the clear majority until the influxes of Jews from the late 1800's onwards. For example in the 1690's there were 246,000 Muslims and 22,000 Christians living in the region compared to 7,000 Jews. Lets see you try and use Twain's 'travel guide' to disprove these stats!?
66. Hah! Guyana got one brief moment of publicity.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (01.14.11)
Then it is back to normal obscurity. Guyana is no international player on the world stage. It is nothing but a poor third world banana republic. It has wealth, yes, but the people live in poverty and have to live by their wits. Half of them live in the US and Canada while a quarter of them are hiding out from immigration throughout the Caribbean. They can't even manage themselves far less contribute to any peace in the ME. That was where Adnan Shurijumah of Al Qaeda went and hid out. Abdul Kadir, a former member of Guyana's Parliament was one of the NYC airport bomb plotters.

It's a bet. But you can keep posting on YNet. It's not as if anyone really takes you seriously. By the way .... isn't your country called "Myanmar" these days? Why, I do believe it is. Didn't you know that? Doubtful. You've probably never been within 5,000 miles of Myanmar in your stupid, sordid life. You couldn't point to Myanmar on a map if your life depended on it!
71. To: No. 57
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.14.11)
In the War of Independence, the Jews were outnumbered approximately 100,000 to 1. Five Arab countries invaded the nascent State of Israel, and a handful of poorly armed Jews kicked your asses. Moreover, please keep in mind that you are talking about the same Nasser who, as his air force lay in pieces on the ground and his armored troops abandoned their tanks in the desert, ordered radio broadcasts along the lines of the following: "Oh, today is a glorious day, my brothers! Our air force is bombing Tel Aviv as we speak! The infidel has been driven from Haifa into the sea! Rejoice! We shall meet our brothers from Jordan and will celebrate our glorious victory together!" So quoting Nasser isn't really citing to a credible source and I note, for the record, that you are still plagiarizing the work of others and passing it off as your own. Tsk, tsk!
72. Matty # 62 why bother beating her head with a rubber hammer?
Jeff, Ex-Marine ,   San Diego, US   (01.14.11)
My dear Matty, Isn't clear to you that she's doing this all by herself? Her posts are a sign of panic my dear Matty. You can sense her head steaming with rage in every post. Enjoy She will admit her bitterness and hatred is exhausting and common sense will eventually prevail. You will be accepting her apology in due course. Best Regards, Jeff

Publishing a map of states that extended "recognition" of "Palestine" based on the 1988 unilateral declaration of statehood is rather silly. How does one "recognize" an entity that does not exist? Besides, one does wonder why it is necessary to unilaterally declare statehood a second time. I guess no one paid much attention the first time. Why is that, do you suppose?
75. Mark Twain, a Jew hater
observer   (01.14.11)
Mark Twain stated in 1898: "Concerning the Jews, the Jewish race [as having an] unpatriotic disinclination to stand by the flag as a soldier . . . If the concentration of the cunningingest brains in the world was going made in a free country . . . . , I think it would be politic to stop it. It will not be well to let that race find out its strength." http://www.twainweb.net/filelist/jews.html
76. :: Jeff - #72
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (01.14.11)
Very true, she cuts a sad figure, alone and isolated in her minority views and opinions. I suppose that is why she posts here on Ynet so she can commune with other Ynuts of the “Israel is always right and butter wouldn’t melt in it’s mouth”. Like I said a minority view devoid of all reality.
77. :: Sarah BS - #73
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (01.14.11)
Yawn... same old childish name calling and insults eh? You should really consider growing up. I would remind readers that Sarah BS has *never* been able to substantiate one of her claims. In fact I have pointed out before that one of her claims, ie: to have lost a son due to a terrorist attack, is wholly bogus.
78. :: Sarah BS - #74
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (01.15.11)
There is nothing “silly” nor whimsical about nations recognizing other nations, in fact it is a rather serious matter and not done lightly. Again an imbecilic comment. The mere act of recognition is what determines the existence of modern nation states. Without formal recognition the likes of Israel and Kosovo would not exist in their present forms. Another ill thought out comment bordering on stupidity as there is no limit on how many times a collective people can declare independence. Regardless the fact of the matter is that the majority of the world nations recognize or have diplomatic relations with the nation state of Palestine/the Palestinian People while Sarah BS and other Ynuts hold a minority view.
79. :: Sarah BS will stop posting here
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (01.15.11)
Sarah BS has accepted Ken’s bet (see post #70) and when Israel does not annex the Palestinian WB before the end of this summer and repatriate its Arab residents to Jordan Sarah BS has agreed to stop posting on Ynet. Will Sarah BS keep her word or backtrack only time will tell but my money is on the latter.

82. "Recognition" of Palestine is just an empty word.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (01.15.11)
I just heard a news report which states that Abbas is going around lobbying the S American states and they are obliging him to try to force the two parties to some kind of agreement. The reality on the ground is that none of them cares a damn whether or not there is a Pals state which means nothing to them. They just want Abbas to shut up and go home. He has nothing to offer any of them and they have nothing to offer him so it is no skin off their backs if they give him meaningless recognition. Abbas in on a S American vacation.

this push is designed by the 'palestinians' to kill any peace talks ... it can only be a good thing for Israel. Can these 'people' really be anymore stupid than they already are??? Their stupidity is unparallelled. In the meantime watch for much more latin american floods and disasters.

Listen to Salma. For a change, somebody in Disneyland understands. All this is meaningless. Brazil has just purchased $500m of military equipment from Israel. Do you know what lip service is? Probably not, but take it from me, you ayrabs are being played. Its called recognition and amusement. Dream on Nour, nobody takes this seriously....
