1. An Act of War
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (01.15.11)
Livini is certainly not beloved in Israel and worse her she advocates surrender to the Palestinians but if she were arrested and then prosecuted in South Africa, that would be an act of war.
2. South africa
Dennis ,   New jersey usa   (01.15.11)
Incredulous that these jerks from this fifth rate backwater would hold up livni as a murderer. They obviously are scared to death to implicate their own leaders of worse crimes. As usual, these pinheads have only one thing on their tiny minds: hatred (jealousy) of Israel when they need to concentrate on their own issues first.
3. S.A group
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (01.15.11)
First off Livni isn't a war criminal. The operation in Gaza wasn't a war but a military operation. Second Livini has offered to be arrested in England to actually face these bogus types of charges. Thirdly, get a grip on reality, terrorists no matter where they hid deserve to be killed, end of story.
4. yet these goffels have no problem inviting hamas leaders

As you can see, I live in South Africa & I am A JEW. I wish people on this talkback check their facts before commenting. The (MNR) meaning "Media Network Review", is & I repeat, is a MUSLIM organisation, with only Muslim issues at heart. It has nothing to do with the Black people of this country. In fact if you took a survey of the general population of this truly wonderfull country-you will find an over whelming support for Israel. Besides the 80 000 Ashkenazi Jews living in this country, we also have over 100 000 Black Jews here, called the Lembas, yamulkas & all. Think before you rate articles-THANK YOU.
9. Rome statues must be enforced
Buford T. Justice ,   USA   (01.15.11)
The arrest and prosecution of suspected war criminals is an important duty of all member nations, including South Africa. Livini can either face the charges if she is indeed innocent, or she can remain holed up in Israel.
10. The world of the dark forces
Brod ,   USA   (01.15.11)
The world of the dark forces-Islamist-Jihadists think that they can attack Israel with impunity. When Israel defends itself against them, they accuse Israel of being war criminal. Israel should tell them to go to Hell. In fact, they next time they attack Israel, Israel should stamp them out without any qualms. There is no point for Israel's leaders to be traveling to dangerous places where there are full of blood-thirsty Islamist-Jihadists and AntiSemites.
11. A lesson,

16. Same Old, Same Old...
Harry ,   Toronto Canada   (01.15.11)
Another place, another Achmed. This hypocrisy is getting boring. The biggest racists and war criminals on the planet are Muslims. Ask any black man? Ask the christian president of Lebanon. Ask the people of Tunisia. Ask those living in Darfur....and the list goes on and on. The only thing permanent is man's stupidity!
17. We salute South Africa
Nour ,   One-State   (01.15.11)
Actions like these must be stepped worldwide, until the apartheid club is no more, and until the people of Palestine are free. Free to move around, free to go to university without going through 10 checkpoints. Free to go on holidays and receive visitors. Free to do all the normal things that people elsewhere take for granted!
18. To Buford T. Justice, @ 9:
~~Lengualima~~ ,   I   (01.15.11)
To @9, Buford T. Justice See you are a lover of international law, in an ideal world should be so, all living in peace under the spirit of the law. But reality often tells us that this dream is not always possible. The law is an instrument that should govern human activities, institutions, countries. What should a country where international law will apply only to one side and not the other? 1. In 1920 the Palestine Mandate was established, which was assigned an area of almost 120.000 km2 for the solution to the problem of Jewish homes. In 1922 the British violation of Article 5 of the Mandate ceded to the King Abdullah I almost 92,000 km2 of the territory, Jordan today. leaving only an area of almost 28,000 km2. Where was international law? 2. In 1947 the remaining territory was divided in 1947, a Jewish, one Arab. The Jews accepted the division, not Arabs. It started a war in which Jews had everything to lose, 1 to 6 country, if Israel would have expected by international law, where would the Jews, in Israel or in the depths of the Mediterranean?. What happened to international law? 3. Since 1949, the Fedayeen from Gaza, and Syria from the Golan, attacking citizens in the territory of Israel, causing many deaths, Israel complained to international bodies, what did they do?. nothing.! 4. Egypt seized several ships in the Suez Canal carrying goods to or from Israel, and also closed the Straits of Tyran one of the most important ports in Israel, violating all the international laws, what did the international bodies?. nothing!. 5. Israel had to endure two wars, the 1956 and 1967 to take possession of Gaza, the Golan, and unlock the Straits of Tiran. Needless to say, that if Israel were to wait for international law, was in a similar or worse situation. 6. When the Golan and Gaza fell into the hands of Israel, Israel practiced target shooting with the head of the citizens of Syria and Egypt?. No!. Who respects international law? 7. Since 1945 Israel has a trade embargo by the Arab League. Every nation has the right to buy and sell to whoever, to which no right, is to create blacklists of companies trading with Israel to blackmail. International law as it sometimes has 20/20 vision, and other is blind. 8. I always believed that international law was a rule with the same scale on both sides, not a scaler with a scale in millimeters to Israel, and one in kilometers to the Arab countries. How this is called in legal language, prevarication? 9. This blind lady with a blindfold on, which is a symbol of justice, is a bit interested, using the band when it is convenient, if not, take it off and go party. The Best.
19. Sad for SA
GOOD ,   USA/ISRAEL   (01.15.11)
It seems like SA is another DUI (Dying Under Islam) country. That thug, Iqbal is just another Muslim who wants to promote the cause of terrorists by legal Jihad.
20. yes mark - let's get this right
rubyH ,   SA   (01.15.11)
You and me are Jewish and South Africans, living in South Africa. What people think in their hearts is not an issue here.. The voice in SA is VERY anti israel. All you have to do is listen to talk radio 702 and Cape talk. Whenever Israel is mentioned you can be assured of a deluge of anti Israel rhetoric - no matter what the source. People of ALL races and creeds have been infected by the media, who you underrate in this matter and believe Israel to be the aggressors and bullies. The media have gone to town on this and most people are victims of their incitement . You never hear or see anything derogatory about the Arab terrorist groups who are designed to annihilate Israel. Is that not telling?? The black people are not the problem here but the Muslims who control the ANC certainly are.
21. #9 Justice ?
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.15.11)
How about you facing some for writing and hiding behind a fake name ? P.S. The word is "Justice", you should be tried for lousy spelling
22. #8
Spencer ,   Israel   (01.15.11)
I suggest that you get your facts right. So what if it's a Muslim organisation. It has the blessing of the SA Government who are blatantly anti Israel and anti Jewish. I too am an EX south African and whist it is true that some of the SA population support Israel (not the majority) your Government does NOT. As for SA being a truely wonderful country what do you base this on? The fact that murders and robberies and rape s take place at a daily rate higher than any other civilised Country in the world!!! As for there being 100,00 Black Jews in SA...again your facts are incorrect. There are about 70000 Lembas in SA. and today, many Lemba are Christians or Muslim.
23. The only answer is.....
tiki ,   belgium   (01.15.11)
These 'peaceful Muslims of the world are getting more ridiculous (and therefore more dangerous) by the day. The only answer to those hatefull and fanatic people is to ridicule and expose them, for the liars they are. A normal leveled 'dialogue with those primitive morons is impossible for the only thing they want is the 'demise of Israel...period! That's their one and only purpose in life, their reason for living.
24. Good idea - keep her !
Ben Zion   (01.15.11)
25. Ah yes, funny reaction
GUH   (01.15.11)
Cry foul about South Africa, Muslims, Arabs etc... Fact is, Livni is a war criminal and I don't think very many of you are proving this accusation wrong. I say well done. Criminals belong in jail, not in office.
26. To Nour, @ 17.
~~Lengualima~~ ,   I   (01.15.11)
Nour: Please, can you tell me, in what year was placed first, the checkpoints in Judea and Samaria?
27. #25 GUH
GOOD ,   USA/ISRAEL   (01.15.11)
It was proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that Israel as a country or her government didn't commit war crimes. Now, where is your proof that Livni committed any? You should be jailed for slander.
28. Lets Get This Right (Spencer)
mark ,   South Africa   (01.15.11)
My facts are right. Besides being a Zionist orientated Jew, I spend a lot of time with a variety of cultures in wonderfull South Africa, and without a doubt, they are predominately pro-Israel.-FACT. Secondly on my business travels to the South African province of Limpopo, I stay over night with the wonderfull Black Jews of South Africa-their religious leader indicates a minimim of 100 000 black Lemba Jews here-maybe u want to take a census Spencer. Lastly, you throw the anti-semetism card again-prove it, I have never had any such experience, nor have I heard of any serious anti-semitism in this country. Governments say one thing in private, & another thing in public. The trade between Israel & South africa is boyant. Lastly according to you, this country is so bad, why are there over 30 000 Israeli's living here. GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT.
29. #20
Steve R RSA ,   Johannesburg RSA   (01.15.11)
You are on the button, re the media in RSA, Last week they were declaring, on the very radio stations that you mentioned, that their criticising Israel should not be construed as anti-semitism...WHAT A JOKE!!!! They are so selective in their denigration of israel, that even if true, could be levelled at half a dozen other countries with which s.a has intimate ties.
30. no. 25 - funny?
Shaul R   (01.15.11)
I will tell you what's funny - your idea of justice. In all systems it is innocent until proven guilty, and you are hardly proving Israel's guilt. As for Livni, keep her anyway, no one in Israel will miss her.
