1. What about McDonalds in Beit Shemesh?
Meir ,   Beit Shemesh   (01.18.11)
The McDonals in the BIG shopping centre in Beit Shemesh is not Kosher, and this in a city with a majority of religious residents, and a Chareidi mayor too. I heard that the reason it is not Kosher, is that it caters to people travelling on Shabbat. I don't believe it. In Ibn Gvirol Tel Aviv, there was once a non kosher McDonalds. Next to it, opened a Kosher Burger joint, which is so popular and thriving, whilst the McDonals was empty, and eventually closed down!!

Tahl ,   Ashdod   (01.18.11)
Omri Padan insisted that there would be no McDonalds beyond the green line and the Golan Heights, thus depriving an integral part of the Israeli population. Burger Ranch, on the other hand, has restaurants in Qatzrin and Maale Edumim.

jason white ,   afula,israel   (01.18.11)
It is the most expensive MacDonald's in the world. I eat at B.K. even though they are also very expensive, but the taste is better. Ever see the size of the portions at MacDonald's in the Ben Gurion airport? Child size and adult price. I prefer to go to Falafel Golani here in Afula, I get all the salads and tehina I want, not what they want to give. And for a lot less. I also would not buy anything from padran!
10. Mcdonalds=Mcdreck

Get a grip people and eat normal food at home. Take a look at the Americans, they are eating themselves to death. FAST FOOD= A long miserable death.

Strange for Israelis to make dangerous generalizations. I'm American (Israeli too) and I'm 6'3/165 lbs. I don't eat junk, and my family doesn't either. My 3 year old daughter eats home cooked food for every meal mostly fresh produce, and there are plenty of fat Israelis eating a horrible horrible diet. Did you think that Shwarma is healthy, with a big blob of fat on top to add flavor?
12. Canola oil? One good reason not to eat there..
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (01.18.11)
http://www.hbci.com/~wenonah/new/canola.htm Nothing in this world comes close to extra virgin olive oils!
13. McKosher
Mark ,   Jerusalem   (01.18.11)
Its about time the empty McDonald's in down town Jerusalem came kosher then it would not be empty any more.

Grapeseed oil is just as healthy and better for cooking since it doesn't burn at higher temperatures unlike olive oil. Olive oil has better taste if not used for cooking.

High quality extra virgin Olive oil burning at circa 207'C is okay by me for my intents and purposes.
