1. The Femminist Revolution ?
Haim ,   Tel aviv   (01.23.11)
Oh what like being made to walk on the other side of the road and being made to sit in the back of buses ? See they`ve really advanced since the medevil ages
2. Lack of maturity ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.23.11)
Or readiness to begin a family ? Don't get married then .
3. blasphemy!
blash ,   Israel   (01.23.11)
Modern feminism that advocates for women to have "control" over their reproductive systems (as opposed to classical feminism, which was about votes for women and equal pay for equal work, and is admirable) is a DISEASE. It starts with family planning, it ends with abortions as birth control. Modern feminism is the advocation of murder, plain and simple. If an Orthodox family wants to limit the number of children it has for economic reasons, then I see no problem with the use of condoms to continue physical relations, which are an important part of marriage, after the wife has given birth to the children she is going to give birth to. But to think of using them before - definitely against halacha. When does the couple decide that they are "ready"? When they are 40 and suddenly realize that they waited too long to have 4 kids? This is why parents help their children after marriage, in BOTH religious and secular spheres, because getting off the ground is hard for all young marriages. Otherwise, you wake up one morning to realize that you don't have a family - just a spouse.
4. listen to me not to Rabbi ; )
Salma ,   Palestine   (01.23.11)
If everyone became a slave to his passions, life would run in the wrong direction, and humans would become like animals.
5. Orthodoxe people listen to their Rabbi.
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.23.11)
The Haredi couples will only listen to Haredi Rabbis. And also the modern orthodoxe couples, if waiting to have children, is a violation against the Tora.
6. 1 Haim "THEY ve really advanced"
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.23.11)
THEY are our roots, and keep Jewish values alife. Thanks to them we still know, after more than 3000 years, that we are Jews.
7. #3 a spouse is family!
(01.23.11)
as to the rest of your comments...boulder dash! Your primative fears and stupidity are showing! Be silent
8. Rabbis , councellors to family planning ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.23.11)
With their ignorance about it ? They have only one thing in their "head" tora , and this book , our History book , was for the remaining "written" for ignorant "believers" , who can't behave correctly othertwise [ and even so , not all follow those "rules" ] Let rabbis talk about their tora laws , but not about 21st century matters .
9. Blash , you are a disease .
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.23.11)
It's the women's body , they HAVE to decide what they want , not a rabbi or their family .
10. #3 Baloney!
(01.23.11)
if you are woman then the only womb you should be concerned about is your own. if you are a man then the only womb you should be concerned about is your wife's (if you are fortunate enough to have one) The rest is up to each couple to decide with their rabbi (if they so desire) and with their parents (if they wish to have parental support). Naturally the STATE shouldn't be paying for any of this! I am tired of all the freeloaders in the country claiming that I as a taxpayer need to support them! Go out and get a job! Really enough!
11. How are they going to delay conception? With oral contracept
Rivkah   (01.23.11)
contraceptives? That is gambling with their fertility since 1% of women who take oral contraceptives becomes permanently sterile and others become temporarily sterile for up to five years. I have seen this many times and the tragedy is enormous. Condoms can cause cervical cancer, studies have shown and it takes eight years for a tumor on the cervix to become cancerous. If it is found before that, it has to be burned off with nitrogen or surgically removed and skin grafts put on the cervix to maintain fertility. That is not the only problem. The oral contraceptives prevent a fertilized zygote which is a conception of a child to be implanted in the uterine wall, so a pregnancy is aborted by oral contraceptives. Many pregnancies or fertized zygotes are aborted that way. The Patriarchs had semen vaginal sex and the conception was limited for most of them. Abraham and Sarah could not conceive until old age. Isaac and Rivkah could not have a child until Isaac was 60 since he married at 40 and it was twenty years before YHWH allowed conception to occur. If young couples want to wait on conception, they need to ask YHWH to prevent that and abide by YHWH's decision. My husband is impotent, so it was YHWH's decision for children not to be born.
12. is it just me who thinks that Rivkah is way wierd?
(01.23.11)
Rivkah...in your case (or rather your husband's) G-d was very wise!
13. 12: YHWH is certainly wise and His wisdom
Rivkah   (01.23.11)
is greater than yours or mine. His plan for my life was a great burden of being childless just as that was a great burden for Sarah and Rivkah and Rachel who were childless for many years. But YHWH brought into my life a child long ago who was raised by her grandmother in San Diego who has kept in touch all these years, so I have a daughter who even looks like me and has the whole armor of God as I do for a garment. She was blessed with two children, a son who is 12 and a daughter who is 4, but her husband is sick and cannot provide for his family. There are burdens each must carry and 7% of the marriages I have read are as mine are. I give information that is solid and wise but you do not appreciate what I say, so skip my posts if they upset you. Others want me to write to YNET. Only the wise recognize wisdom. May you be there one day, to know wisdom when you read it.
14. To #12 Do not make the same mistake
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.23.11)
as your parents .Don t have children.
15. ASK ME ANYTHING
Michael ,   California, USA   (01.24.11)
Why to ask something/someone who wasn't born yet, who doesn't exist? There is no YHWH (use any acronyms you wish,) so you will be better off asking me. Go ahead, ask me anything and watch me answer. Ask g anything and you will get nothing for an answer.
16. 15 Ask me anything
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.25.11)
Very often people who say that G-D doesn t exist(i don t speak of those who say: i don t BELIEVE G-D exists) have tendency to believe ,they are G-D,and only what they say is truth. They are not open at all, to what other think ,and reject it completely. You said:" ask me anything" OK,i ask you: Do you have a proof that G-D doesn t exist?(The shoa is not a proof, the same as alcoholics who die from liversickness are not a proof, that medecine is nothing but lies.) You said ask G-D anything.... That is not true. People who believe can testify, that G-D answers.
17. Michael 15 , you are right
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.25.11)
How is it possible to ask something to something inexisting ? they ask for rain every morning in their prayers , have we seen some [ some drips , but far from enough ] ? How many have'nt prayed , to no avail , they all ended up murdered during the Shoa . And there are people living in the 21st century who still "believe" , they live "physiccally" but their minds are still in the dark middle ages
18. 15 Michael,god Charles gave you his...
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.25.11)
approval.
19. 18 , But i EXIST TRY # 3
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.26.11)
not an INEXISTING thing . You "asked" for my reaction
20. 18 , but i EXIST TRY # 4
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.26.11)
not an INEXISTING thing . You "asked" for this reaction
21. 19 Charles, Thanks G-D you exist
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.26.11)
and you are the living proof that G-D exists.Or is Darwin s theory, that the human being descends from an ape more credible ?Concerning me,i feel nothing in common with an ape.I think neither you. Of course i was hoping for a reaction.Thanks.
22. 19Charles.What is TRY#3?
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.26.11)
23. 21 & 22
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.26.11)
No tb's between us . Only via Email , at MY condition . Don't infuriate me with your "thanks god"
24. 23 Charles
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.26.11)
G-D answered my prayer, that what is not good for me,shouldn t want me. Keep your furor for you ,i don t need these kind of reactions. I have thanks G-D lifelong friends. We never ever impose one s will on another, and we accept each other s believes, and way of life. Many of my friends are secular. If you want only "Yes,Charles" friends,it is your decision, and your life.Your gigantic ego is doing a bad job on you. You could be a fantastic guy,if YOU WANT. No answer needed.
25. 23Charles
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (01.26.11)
I am fed up with your intolerant posts, and intend to change my name.
26. 24 , not good for you ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.28.11)
