By 2020 China will most likely be on an economic power with the US and if Israel can be a close ally that works in cooperation with both of them then that's very good news indeed.

I bet the US would be very upset if China would be the one to make the peace in the middle east. Making peace here is about as significant as wining the space race USA had with USSR back in the cold war days. Can you imagine the amount of credit China would get if they would actually do that? And how much that would hurt USA?

I believe that obviously it is in Israel's interest to have good relations with China. But it is sad to contemplate that Israel and the United States must pretend we have anything in common with this oppressive communist nation.China is certainly a major player on the worlds stage now.
