1. Another episode of PallyMyth Production came to
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (01.20.11)
undignified end
2. Can Y Pollack be imprisoned for spreading
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (01.20.11)
lies and making false statements?
3. Which hospital?
Sam ,   Australia   (01.20.11)
Was it a Palestinian or Israeli hospital?
4. Shame On You Ynet
Steve ,   USDA   (01.20.11)
one lie after the other, try to be more professional in your reports, Abu Rahma was killed by illegal tear gas fired by the Israeli forces, the same forces that killed and wounded some of her relatives, the same forces that bound and blindfolded her cousin and shot him in the leg without him knowing what was coming to him, INVESTIGATION; give me a break, another investigation that Israel did regarding Gaza war and massacres, human rights violations, yet. the Israeli army was found at "no fault"
5. Pollack says Jawaher's FAMILY tell LIES
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (01.20.11)
Pollack claims - "I saw Jawaher actively participating in the protest". And yet, at least TWO unrelated INDEPENDENT news media - one each from UAE and UK - SIMILARLY reported the deceased's FAMILY members as saying she was NOT participating at that Friday's weekly VIOLENT protest by the palis. And funny how Pollack could TWEET so much about his version but has been UNABLE to provide any photographic PROOF to back up his claims. Maybe anarchists like Pollack use mobile phones that can access the internet but do not have built-in camera?
6. Israelis, pay attention - unless you sue these people
Howard K   (01.20.11)
they will continue with their lies, their slanders, their Pallywood, and all those tricks they use to denigrate your reputation. You must sue those responsible for this lie. There is no other way. You must understand that their main goal is to get their lies onto the internet and other media and create a storm of ill will against Israel. The fact that the truth will eventually surface is of no concern to them. Hardly anyone will publish corrections to the story, and if they do, people won't believe them. For a sample of how the public make up their minds, regardless of the facts, read the talkbacks to the story on Ha'aretz. They are jaw dropping in their irrationality.
7. what a liar pollack is!
(01.20.11)
8. The IDF will do anything to get out of this one
Jerrold Cohen ,   Seal Beach, USA   (01.20.11)
The woman's relatives' statements are online and clearly point to the tear gas as killing her, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. What the doctors did or didn't do is secondary. They didn't have anything to work with by the time she reached the hospital. She was 99 percent dead by the time they saw her. The tear gas killed her, and the IDF owes the family remuneration for her loss, big time..
9. Two lessons to be learned. 1. Stay away from demonstrations.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (01.20.11)
2. Stay away from arab doctors.
10. Oh well...
Michael ,   USA   (01.20.11)
But the world will never listen Am Israel Chai
11. pollock & "morons against Israel" don't need any facts.
dante ,   uk   (01.20.11)
pollock wouldn't know what to do with a fact. "morons against Israel" are strangers to the truth: they have a quasi-religious commitment to hatred of Israel.
12. She died because of Palestinian propaganda.
Bat Zion ,   Central Israel   (01.20.11)
Pals keep falsely accusing IDF for using nerve gas. If nerve gas had been used, how come only one person ended up dead? She never was at the demonstration. Where's the proof of her being in the demo? Not a single photo of her there. So she was at the garden of her home, inhaled some airborne tear gas, felt sick, went to the hospital in Ramallah, the doctor at the hospital responded hysterically, came to the wrong decision that chemical warfare was used, and injected her with a lethal overdose of atropine. And thus a woman, who could have lived for many more years, died because of ridiculous rumours.
13. She went to hospital because of gas in first place
david appletree ,   New York City, USA   (01.20.11)
u dont shoot someone then blame their death on the hospital that failed to save her
14. I don't buy a single word...
Marco ,   Tel Aviv   (01.20.11)
I work in hospital field and I don't buy a single word of what the article says...
15. #8 Show picture of her at protest
Cynthia ,   USA   (01.20.11)
The friends who tried to carry her to the car admitted she was at home and not at the protest. Sounds like her family may have twisted the story to make it appear as if she was exposed to tear gas and because of misinformation, the hospital gave her the wrong medication. Your 'relatives' statements" are not convincing.
16. To No 8
Valerie ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (01.20.11)
So you were at the hospital and the demonstration and can state with 100% accuracy that what you say is true. A report on Ha'aretz says the doctors admitted that they had made the mistake.
17. This is garbage reporting
Sam   (01.20.11)
So, if she wasn't at the protest, then where was she? What does the investigation say about her whereabouts, exactly? Who conducted this investigation? The military? And like #13 said, she went to hospital because of the gas in the first place. She wouldn't have been to the hospital if the criminal IDF didn't fire tear gas at or near this poor woman. The military shouldn't be there. Period.
18. The real issue is not Jawaher's death
Cynic #2   (01.20.11)
This woman died. It does not matter how she died, what matters is why she died. And she died because there was a protest against an illegal structure set up by the Israeli establishment to rob Palestinians of whatever is left of their land. She died because the forces of Darth Vader were there to suppress these protests. The irony is that the Israeli High Court has ordered the IDF to move the stupid wall further away from the village but the IDF did not abide. No matter how Jawaher died, the ultimate responsibility lies with the Israeli establishment and that's that. Save us your attempts at whitewashing the IDF. Israel has lost its moral compass and its Jewish soul!
19. Jerrold #8: Do the Gentiles accept and
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (01.20.11)
praise you sufficiently for your interminable rants against Israel and, secondarily, against our people? Just wondering, Jerrold; you've been at it so long you ought to be able to report to the rest of us whether they love you now. Has it been worth it?
20. I told you so, just the fact that pali didn't want
ghostq   (01.20.11)
autopsy meant that thereall reason is family wanted compensation money from the Israeli gov, for this insident, sad to say but that hospital should be shut down, I saw the waiting room, down town in the slams area the streets r cleaner than that place, the light was flikering, the rooms r very small and not suited for human service.
21. she was not at the protest, as people stated...
eporue ,   europe   (01.20.11)
it was reported, i think in the guardian, that she was with her mother and uncle outside their house, and when the tear-gas-cload moved over them (it wasnt shot at them), she fainted. the neighbour came to help her pulling out of the cload. that was what, mother, uncle, neighbour said to the paper. its even on the bilin-village-website. and haaretz doesnt publish talkbacks with this.
22. If the Palestinian Arabs would put as much
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (01.20.11)
energy into health care as they do into propaganda and the delegitimization of the state of Israel (which they don't accept anyway) then they'd have the most proficient hospital system on the globe, better than Israel's, and they wouldn't have to move patients into our care anymore. The point being, of course, that they refuse to become proficient at anything creative, life-giving and worthwhile.
23. #17 Wrong
Cynthia ,   USA   (01.20.11)
She was taken to the hospital because she fell to the ground vomiting. She could have been having a stoke or seizure related to a prior medical condition.
24. To all arab payed talk backers
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (01.20.11)
Please understand this message, I'll try to state it as clear as possible! 1) Israel has the right over all of the Land of Israel. 2) We know that there are arabs living here and we do our best to give them as much as possible. 3) We don't care about your barking. 4) Proof that we are not what you say is that this Pollack brat (and his father) are allowed to live in Israel and have not been thrown out. 5) If this is not enough, we believe in Israel and the Gd of Israel, we don't do this for cheap money!
25. #18 Spare us your moralizing
Cynthia ,   USA   (01.20.11)
If apologists for terror are going to pin this woman's death on the IDF, they must be prepared to support their allegation which they have failed to do. The Palestinians created the need for the wall which the IDF protect in a military zone. These protesters come to provoke the soldiers. They bring their cameras, video equipment, rocks and sling shots. The highlight of their protest is an injury for their media performance.
26. #23 She fell from gas
Sam   (01.20.11)
There is no denying that the gas made her feel sick. That much is already established. So the point is that the military shouldn't be in those areas to begin with. It's disgusting.
27. #17 Sam PARROTS #13 David's GARBAGE
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (01.20.11)
Sam asks - So, if she wasn't at the protest, then where was she? Sam does NOT know but he only CHOOSES to believe what anarchists like Pollack says. Even when there are reports by INDEPENDENT news media that FAMILY MEMBERS said the deceased was NOT at the weekly VIOLENT protest. Sam then PARROTS David from #13 - She wouldn't have been to the hospital if the criminal IDF didn't fire tear gas at or near this poor woman. Then by the SAME logic, "this poor woman" wouldn't have to be hospitalised or died if HER community had NOT participate in the weekly VIOLENT protests. Then again, logic is NEVER a part of rabid bashers like David and Sam.
28. An Earlier IDF Investigation Cleared the Soldiers That Shot
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (01.20.11)
her cousin while he was blindfolded and his hands were bound. But that time, the world saw the video that captured what really happened and they were forced to take action against the soldiers. Whenever a reputable newspaper publishes an IDF account of what happened, they owe it to the public to disclose that the IDF is known to frequently lie.
29. #3
Madeleine ,   Israel   (01.20.11)
Pali hospital of course - the Ramallah Medical Centre, see: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4009090,00.html it's mentioned just under th e photo in the middle of the article.
30. @#18: I lost you when you wrote "the forces of Darth Vader",
Bat Zion ,   Central Israel   (01.20.11)
but I can tell you one thing: the fight over Bil'in is about domination: from that hilltop you can target aeroplanes at Israel's international Ben Gurion Airport with an RPG. All the Pallywood production in the world are not going to make the IDF give it away.
