1. Now we understand why Olmert's corruption was revealed
Shalom   (01.25.11)
Oh, Allah is great!
2. Misleading headline! Nothing was agreed
Nour ,   One-State   (01.25.11)
Nothing was agreed. Besides, each of the final status papers were tagged "NON PAPERS". You can check what that means. Basically, non-binding, until everything is agreed. Besides, the whole fiasco was supposed to be screened through a referendum. On the other hand, Israel's total intransigence is laid naked once more before the globe.
3. mmmm, The PA is denying .
Salma ,   Palestine   (01.25.11)
If Resolution 194 has not been implemented literally, this means two things: 1. "Israel" loses its legitimacy 2. more than 194 bullet would aim at the head of any Palestinian leader traitor Thank God no one dares.
4. how about the 1 million jewish refugees kicked out of arab
rachel ,   usa   (01.25.11)
countries ? is everyone forgetting them ?how about their children and grandchildren ? and great grandchildren ?
5. Any "original" people who were there in 1948 and could
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (01.25.11)
prove it and who had no record of terrorism could be reasonably let in to live out their days. Not as voting citizens, but as returnees supported by arabs states or the US in the "interest of peace." They would be too old to be terrorists or to be breeding terrorists and it would settle the "refugee" issue once and for all.
6. To #2
Steven ,   Rockville, USA   (01.25.11)
As you said, PA did not agree to anything. Yet you claim that Israel is the intransigent. Typical reverse minded Arab thinking. Insallah, that the reason that you have nothing, let alone one-state. The same goes to 21 Salma.
7. #2 & #3:
Israeli 2   (01.25.11)
That's OK!!! Trust me, South America is better for you. They already are preparing your home there along the beautiful Amazon river and the beautiful mountain of Machu Picchu. On top of that you always have Jordan, your original homeland.
8. My dear Salma, 194 is sacrosanct and undeniable
Nour ,   One-State   (01.25.11)
People displaced by war should be allowed to go back to their homes. Any other talk is racist and immoral. Abbas and Erekat can pat themselves on the back all they want, but the truth is they have no mandate to negotiate on our behalf, full stop.
9. Abbas' own grip to an illusion sense of agrandisement
Nour ,   One-State   (01.25.11)
...and importance is illogical. His mandate expired 2 years ago.
10. #5 We want justice not a graveyard
Nour ,   One-State   (01.25.11)
The issue is not where we choose to die or "live our days" Bunnie, it's the right of our people to our homeland, our right to uphold and protect is history from Zionism and other colonial adventures.
11. Documents
james ,   london   (01.25.11)
Authenticated documents?
12. The whole thing is a hoax.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (01.25.11)
Ynet should be ashamed for publishing articles that uncritically swallow any crap without real analysis as to their authenticity & credibility. This is, to say the least, unprofessional & lazy journalism & possibly worse, reflects a certain bias in reporting. I would suggest reading the excellent analyses of this document dump at RubinReports, Elder of Tziyon, Melanie Phillips at The Spectator, JOSHUAPUNDIT. To accept reports from The Guardian & Al Jazeera without a degree of scepticism does not reflect well on your credibility, such as it is.
13. Israel asks Palestine to take in Half a Million Jews
Hostage   (01.25.11)
14. Nour , I agree 100%.
Salma ,   Palestine   (01.25.11)
Don't Know what's the big deal of Palestinian - "Israeli" chattering negotiating?! nothing can oblige us but the international law and our legitimate rights ....full stop : )
15. @10 You have your "justice", right here, right now.
Sugar Ray ,   NYC   (01.25.11)
16. the picture is clear now for palestine
wmd   (01.25.11)
17. Salma & Nour
Kate ,   London, UK   (01.25.11)
Once again, they prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that "Palestinians" are not interested in peace but instead the destruction of Israel.
18. #3 Salma - Resolution 194 is fine, but that is only 100,000
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (01.25.11)
Salma, Resolution 194 only is related to the 100,000 refugees that actually left what is now Israel. And as per the text they would have to take the new citizenship pledge to Israel as a Jewish and Democratic country. Otherwise they do not qualify to return under the clause "live at peace with their neighbours" No where does it talk about 2nd / 3rd / 4th / 5th generation decedents of the refugees. Also it would require all the Arab states to take back the Jews that were forced out (unlike the Arabs from Israel) or to3 pay compensation to them too.
19. Ishmael right of return!
~~Lengualima~~ ,   I   (01.25.11)
According to the thesis is argued by some Palestinians on refugees. Ishmael (son of Abraham) is also a refugee, and has the right of return and compensation!
20. PA cares little for refugees, that why Hamas their support
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (01.25.11)
The PA is more worried about a state and keeping their land and is PA willing to take in all the refugees that Israel does not? Israel should take in 700,000, which is the original number of refugees but starting with the oldest and would only put Arabs at 28% of population.
21. pal paper
henri ,   australia   (01.25.11)
the guardian &aljezira are no friends of israel;the aim of the leaks is to destroy abbas and bring in hamas this after the recent recognition by many countries of a pal state with 67 borders.the timing is excellent so israel will have hisbola to the north hamas to the east and south all claiming for its destruction ISRAEL has always said that abbas speak with a fork tongue and that recognition of a pal state at this stage was dangerous but the world is not listening.abbas is now a discredited rag .to reject direct negotiation with ISRAEL was just a way to save his skin.we are back to square one,Israel surrounded by hateful enemies .nothing has changed in more than 60 years except that ISRAEL is much stronger and all the better for that.
22. The only real solution is a single state, like south africa
christianpalestinian ,   bethesda, maryland   (01.25.11)
The one state solution is the only solution that will work, and all parties are already headed down that path whether they like it or not.
23. #8 "194 is sacrosanct"?
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (01.25.11)
So how come all the Arab nations rejected it so forcefully?
24. The only colonial sceme in the Mideast
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (01.25.11)
Is the fake "Kingdom" of Jordan, in which the British brought in the Hashemite tribe after the Wahhabi gang of Saud chased them out of the Hejaz. What rights does the Hashemite clan have to be "kings" of East Palestine?
25. #8 my dear nour
Dan ,   hollywood   (01.25.11)
"people displaced by war should be allowed to go back to their home" Not if they started the war! That's why a lot of Germans are not going back to what was once Germany (before the war) and now Poland. Whether they have the keys to their old homes or not.
26. Nour and Salma
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (01.25.11)
Are the same person posting under multiple names.
27. #26 Thanks for the amusing accusation
Nour ,   One-State   (01.25.11)
What evidence might you have to back up the preposterous claim? Perhaps that both Salma and I are Palestinians? I see you've been skipping your supplements.
28. International Law does not care who starts what
Nour ,   One-State   (01.25.11)
What's a known fact is that the Palestinan refugees were not citizens of a sovereign nation at the time of the Nakba. Claiming that Palestinian refugees have no right of return because Arab armies attacked the Jewish terrorists in Palestine (and they were justified in doing so) is downright silly.
