In a couple of days the Turks are going to publish their own version of events. It is called "The Valley of the Wolves - Palestine." - a promising jamesbondiana. There is a trailer on youtube.com; pretty impressive, so to say.
2. Agree. The IDF was in the right here

3. us: israeli probe.......
payer/truthinvestiga ,   planet earth   (01.25.11)
us state department spokesman philip crowley is an appeaser to the zionist/rabbis state/land of "israel", so are several other us authorities in stupidly supporting everything the 2nd netanyahu coalition says and does for they are always right/good and the others are always wrong/bad. i wish the us would be really impartial in this conflict but that is wishfull thinking and believing in fairy tales/utopia. the un and the rest of the world may have another opinion. perhaps the un can be impartial in a conflict between 2 or more peoples/countries.
4. Erdogan's distortion and twist of truth
john   (01.25.11)
There were a total of six boats in the flotilla, there was no violence on five of these boats whatsoever as there were (Thank Goodness)no IHH terrorists presence among the passengers, and no harm came to pass to passengers or soldiers. It is the IHH terrorists on board the mavi Marmara who planned in advance (as seen on the videos) and used appalling and disproportionate force against the Israeli boarding party. It is solely the turkish government who have blood on their hands for not preventing IHH terrorists from boarding in the first place.
5. We don't need the US approval to know
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.25.11)
that our action was right . But their endorsement is only a proof that they too know what is right . We used restraint , other countries would not have boarded this vessel , they would have bombed , to not risk their own soldier's lives .
6. #3 As usual, empty slogans
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (01.25.11)
Either you come up with a substantive argument and solid facts explaining how the Turkel inquiry was supposedly not impartial, or admit that aside for empty slogans against Israel, you have nothing.

Give it a rest. Israel's blockade of Gaza is both fully legal and internationally recognized. Israel had every right to stop a blockade running vessel. Israel would have been fully justified had she chosen simply to send a missile amidships to the MAVI MARMARA. She didn't. Israel thus deserves a great deal of credit for forebearance, and you deserve much scorn for your idiocy, so patently on display.
9. gul and erdogan
alexi   (01.25.11)
Gul and erdogan, the islamic rulers of turkey are unable to distinguish truth from lies. Of course they have their national interests. In their view, everyone is wrong, Greeks, Armenians, Europeans, Cypriots, kurds and Israelis. And who is right? iranians, sudanese rulers, hamas and hezbollah. Lieberman is the only israeli capable of looking at erdogan and calling him a bloody liar and not flinching. He is the only one. Past Israeli leaders have spoken in code-which means to tell lies. Why it is essentiall to call erdogan a bloody liar to his face and not apologize like peres and ben eliezer, is that israel has to confront the problem right from the start. And not to run away from it. Israel has had a collection of leaders who avoid problems and who compromise, grovel and misjudge. Peres started the whole thing with oslo. Then barak went overboard and ran away from hezbollah instead of dealing with them like the russians dealt the georgians. And that was not enough. he went to camp david to humiliate israel with one sided concessions without demanding something for israel. I mean who attacked israel in the first place. Later, Livni convinced sharon not to secure philadelphi ,and even in negotiations, she did not look at the arabs and say, No, not one arab can be repatriated to israel as part of right of return which olmert conceded. Now he says less than 25000. Israel cannot afford to take in one more arab period. Why would olmert offer 25000 or less when the arabs wouldn't accept one jew? because he has no self respect for himself or israel, no sense of national purpose or being. And more than that, he is afraid like many other israelis including livni. Its okay for the PLO state not to have any jews it but israel should take in 25000 or whatever figure??!! This is madness! You know the story of olmert, the chicken who ran away from hezbollah and avoided responding to hamas for months as israel was being pummelled with missiles. So there is no point going any furthur with him. But you have all the other segments of israel, haaretz, kadima, labour, meretz, and others who keep compromising in the supreme hope of peace while the arabs work in stages to implode israel. it is so obvious that israel cannot afford rockets being launched from a 3rd front which syrian hezbollah populated golan will surely do if the golan were to be given to syria. Olmert offered it as he doesn't care about a hill or barrier of 20 miles and would not fight for it in any case. he hates the idf as they hate him as well. Livni sits there like an ignoramus saying we are giving up the golan as if past history of golan is not something to be considered. Besides, syria is not giving up their iran link. If israel gives up the golan, then I agree with the arabs, Israelis- make your travel plans and go back to europe and america. And if they don't admit you, then you can wait in barb wire camps in cyprus. Israel will be over. And a link across israel from west bank to gaza cannot be secured and arabs will find a way to fire rockets north and south in the northland. Go back to gul and erdogan. here are 2 educated turks who lie their teeth off but more than that, in their own minds they believe their lies. They genuinely believe that the idf commandos were attacking the boat civilians as they came down the ropes and were not themselves being attacked. So no peace is possible, just an armistice arrangement. Lieberman is the only israel along with landau who tells it like it is. the rest of the israels are a pack of cowering sheep.
10. FLOTILLA WAS A TURKISH PROVOCATION
American ,   Los Angeles,US   (01.25.11)
Islamic terrorist states are obsessed with the destruction of Israel. If turks are so worried about human right they should have sent their flotilla to Sudan.

thank you for your compliments. however i donot agree with you. first judge yourself before you judge other people. improve the world and begin with yourself. zionist israel is not always right and the other party/ies is/are not always wrong. both are not perfect. let us try to be objective also to our own people and land. success and mazeltov.

Would your statement about judging oneself before judging other people apply to Turkey as well? Apart from the fact that they have never acknowledged -- or apologized -- for the massacre of innocent Armenian civilians in the early part of the twentieth century, they are doing pretty much the same thing at present to innocent Kurdish civilians. And, of course, there was the completely illegal invasion of Cyprus in 1974, for which -- surprise, surprise -- Turkey refuses to accept blame, claiming that they were coming to the "defense" of ethnic Turks in Famagusta (this despite the fact that the ethnic Turks in Famagusta vehemently disagreed). So, taking you at your word, it is time for Turkey to judge itself before looking to judge Israel, is that not correct?
13. 11 , we ARE RIGHT , certainly in this case
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.25.11)
and in most other cases too . You always forget , voluntarely , that Israel was ALWAYS attacked . You also forget that when you attack , and lose , there is a "price tag" and it's called making concessions , not ask concessions .

i donot believe you. how did the conflict in the middle east started? it started when the zionists came for the first time to the m.e. in the 19th. century as intruders at the cost of the palestinians who have always lived there. that was the start of the misery. the one-sided, unilateral declaration/ recognation of this (zionist) state of "israel" was a big mistake in 1948. mazeltov. have fun too.
16. 15 , you don't believe ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.26.11)
Those are facts . Read some books . When the Jews came , there were not much arabs here [ read Joan Peters's : from time immemorial ] . Jews bought ground from arabs who lived in Lebanon . Then came Arab workers from countries as far as Yemen and Sudan [ read Martin Gilbert's History of Israel ]

"there were not much palestinians/arabs here" but enough to remove/transfer them. the zionists had better try to make an agreement with the palestinians/arabs who lived in the land between the jordan river and the mediterranean sea in the 19th. century so that both peoples could live their in a bi-national/multinational state in peace and to try to make something beautiful out of it. i have noted the books you mentioned and i hope that they really are objective/unbiased/impartial/fair/honest. i have heard of petach tikva. it was a settlement founded in1878. now it is a town in the middle east. i hope to visit it and see it with my own eyes, when there is a just peace in the m.e. all the good to you.
