Salma ,   Palestine   (01.27.11)
Don't make me laugh at wrong time again !
2. Salma, you wanted to know the truth, here it is.
leo ,   usa   (01.27.11)
3. Salma, if you came to my neighborhood
Golani ,   Vineland, USA   (01.27.11)
Salma, if you were walking through my neighborhood you would be safe, if I passed you by, I would probably say hello. If you seemed to be in any kind of trouble, I would ask you if you needed help and would be happy to help you. If I were to walk though your neighborhood, I would most likely be in danger and may not even make it out alive. I wish you could understand that.
4. # 1
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.27.11)
omg you are one very sick girl.
5. To Salma:
ROSENVALD ,   BRASIL   (01.28.11)
Go to Jordan, is your Country. In Israel you will never wil be a place. Arafat is over, and your dreams never will be hapen.
6. self defense is legitimate...
bruno ,   Portugal   (01.27.11)
How else could this settler defend himself ? Pull the trigger as in the far west since the IDF is giving more attention to what the US thinks of Israel, rather than taking care of their own people.
7. to#1
Jennie ,   US/Israel   (01.27.11)
ay-ya-yay....birdi ! Is this how you react, when a brother of yours is being killed ? See, we don't laugh, because we don't like to kill...Your behaviour is another proof, that you have nothing to say and of how perverted, self destructive and delusional you and yours Are....
8. publish the security cam video...
eporue ,   europe   (01.28.11)
the shooter will be identified, and the events clarified... where was the youth shot ? if someone is trusted a rifle for self-defense, then he cant just shoot at someones upper body, when they throw stones... no, they really cant get away with this any longer.
9. Selma! selma!
Maxime Love Israel ,   USA   (01.27.11)
Laughing may triger a cardiac arrest, Please Selma! Don't laugh too much.
10. testimony given by one of the Arab youths
observer   (01.27.11)
you mean torturing the boy is not considered blood libel.
11. Salma, you really shouldn't laugh
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.28.11)
you should wail & moan, you've been caught with your knickers down "Ynet has learned that the police are relying on testimony given by one of the Arab youths, as well as footage from an IDF security camera at the scene". Two witnesses were present, the Arab Youth and the all seeing IDF camera
12. :: Gosh so this teen was killed by a Israeli settler
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (01.27.11)
And on the earlier thread "Ilan" from Ariel was so sure that it was "intra-Palestinian violence". "Golani" from Vineland, USA thought it was 'more than likely this a village dispute'. "Joe" confirmed that his "dog knows it was an inter-Arab squabble" and "Ben Jabo" thought that "someone's sister got insulted, he didn't pay his dope supplier or owed money that he couldn't pay". No prizes for these guys as it turned out that an illegal settler did kill this Palestinian - which is what the Palestinian said in the first place. Interesting to note as well that this illegal settler is now in hiding evading the Israeli police/army, no doubt he is been assisted by his illegal settler friends. I would also add that killing in 'self defense' is still manslaughter.
13. #3 Well said Golani!
Jake ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.28.11)
14. all the good people
evi ,   london   (01.27.11)
dear boys and girls. why are you entering in to conversations and exchange of views with salma? this thing thrives on your attempts to make it see the truth. for God sake - let her be, this creature is not on your intellectual level, it is not even driven by hate - just by an instinct.
15. Why is it that when Palestinians kill Jews, they celebrate?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (01.27.11)
Let's get some perspective here. Palestinian culture and policy praises any Palestinian youth who goes out and kills Jews. He's not considered a criminal, but a hero. In fact, if the kid straps a bomb to his body and kills a whole bunch of Jews, then they make hero posters of him and hand them out at his school. Any time Palestinians shoot at Israelis, there's no inquiry. There's no arrests. There's no trial. If a Palestinian soldier shoots an Israeli civilian, they pat him on the back and pay him a bonus. He's not arrested, and no human rights groups attend his trial or military tribunal - because it simply doesn't happen. Palestinians shoot Israelis - that's their culture and policy and purpose in life. It's what they've brainwashed themselves to justify as "legitimate resistance to the occupation." Instead of sending their leaders to peace talks, they still send their kids out to throw rocks and molotov cocktails, while the bigger boys still shoot bullets and fire rockets at us. The Palestinians are commensurate liars, and send their spokespeople out to tell people around the world that qassam rockets don't have warheads (of course they do, the graves and amputees prove it), that Israel is "ethnic cleansing" the west bank (they won't mention that the Arab population of the west bank has more than doubled since the 1967 war, since that would be telling the truth), and they call us the "apartheid" state - despite the fact that the Palestinians are the ones with the apartheid laws. How many Jews live in the Palestinian Authority? None. Why? They refuse to let them live there and kill any Jews who walk into their territory. The Palestinians are the problem.
16. #15 - "...The Palestinians are the problem..."
eporue ,   europe   (01.28.11)
...when you illegally settle their land... ...then the occupied people are "the problem" for the occupier, and the occupier is "the problem" for the occupied people... obvious, how to get out of "the problem", isnt it ?
17. Why the went there
Me ,   Jerusalem   (01.28.11)
can some body answer my question, they went there to kill, the are bloodthirsty
18. Lynch Victim Survives
Steve Everett ,   Maryland, USA   (01.28.11)
A pedestrian was brutally attacked by a group of cruel tormentors. They probably would have harmed and/or killed him . Thank G-d he had the means to defend himself and survived, unlike other recent victims of Arab violence, like the two women near Mata.
19. Settlers need to defend themselves.
James ,   Australia   (01.28.11)
A few weeks ago there was an article about the IDF taking away the guns of settlers because security has been tight. Settlers need to defend themselves.
20. RE: #8 Throwing stones is both dangerous and uncivilized
Kyle Broflovski ,   South Park, Colorado   (01.28.11)
It's not like they were throwing flowers or paper airplanes at him. A rock thrown at someone has just as good a chance at causing serious harm as light firearms and the use of a fire arm in self defense is clearly justified in this case. According to the article and its predecessors, the settler fired into the air before returning fire at the group of teenagers who were pelting him with stones. If he had exercised more restraint, perhaps we would be talking about a settler seriously injured by marauding Palestinian youths. I still don't see why you all hate on Salma; it is better that you should all admit that you will probably never see eye to eye on some issues rather than goad each other and vent all this vile hate all the time. She'll never understand what it feels like to be a Jew in the ME just like most Israelis cannot understand what its like to be brainwashed, uneducated (mostly) and living under military occupation like the Palestinians are.
21. Matty Groves
Golani ,   Vineland, USA   (01.28.11)
Matty, thank you for paying attention to my post. I did say that more than likely, but I did not say for sure. That is because that is generally what happens, but not always. In this case it may turn out to be however since one of the witnesses that spoke up is Palestinian. I too would like to think that I would speak up no matter who was wrong. I believe in the truth as do most Israelis. That is why we have such a difficult time with the press and much of the morally corrupt world. Thank you...
22. To: No. 16
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.28.11)
"Their land?" No, it isn't. It is non-sovereign territory which Israel acquired in the course of fighting -- and winning -- a defensive war. The ersatz "Palestinians" HAVE no land. They have on three separate and distinct occasions REJECTED the opportunity for a two-state solution, including one which would have awarded them 90% of the West Bank and East Jerusalem as a capital. They are not interested in co-existing with Israel; they are interested exclusively in supplanting Israel. They've lost six wars, bubbeleh. They've lost seven decades of terror. Sorry -- kind consideration is simply not an option. The ersatz "Palestinians" are for the dung heap of history, and it cannot happen soon enough to suit me. You're a European; I'll ask you a question. How much say did the vanquished Germans have following World War II? Absolutely none. Why should the ersatz "Palestinians" -- on the losing end of six wars -- deserve more consideration than that which was accorded Germany?
23. #16
IZL   (01.28.11)
Speaking of Europe, last I checked, Rome was a European empire. Ask your European brothers who started this whole mess. Does it assuage your colonial guilt from past history to project it onto Jews? Does it sooth your plagued mind for the crimes Europe committed against Jews? Facts remain, the Palestinians do not diminish in population. They did not enjoy a better quality of life before we arrived. They were Ottoman subjects. Why no outcry pre 67? There was no Palestinian sovereign government, but rather, by your definition, a colonial Jordanian rule. Our "occupation" is of Jordanian land, won in war, and land that Jordan itself colonized in 48.
24. Wrong
KD ,   NYC NY   (01.28.11)
Sorry its Jewish land. Recognized by the UN many times. Its funny how people repeating that same line over and over again, but never actually site or quote the supposed l"aw"
25. MATTY GROVES
NEVADA_LEN ,   SOUTH FLORIDA, USA   (01.28.11)
IF YOU LIVE IN THE USA SELF DEFENSE IS NOT, I REPEAT, NOT CONSIDERED MANSLAUGHTER. WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR FACTS? MAKE THEM UP AS YOU GO ALONG ?
26. Matty where have you been?
Rachel ,   US   (01.28.11)
Fess up to being wrong about the American tourist killed by the gang of Arabs!
27. Teen stupid to use rock in a gun fight, release video please
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (01.28.11)
Was settler hurt at all? if not did video show him warning teens he had a gun and would use it they didn't back off? Is a teen picking up a rock enough of a threat to use a gun to kill and claim self-defense? Could a Palestinian have used this claim if he had kill a settler in the same matter? Did settler have a permit to carry the gun he used? Equal justices for all is important, no matter who or what they are.
28. Change the photo caption
Naftush ,   Israel   (01.28.11)
Given the information in the article, the "youth" was hardly a victim.
29. Crocodile tears for a terrorist thug. I suppose the 4 Palest
Justice ,   Globe   (01.28.11)
-inians recently apprehended for mercillesly stabbing to death a christian zionist because they thought she was a jew....I suppose those terrorists' families are also shedding tears for their poor boys' plight.
30. All Israeli killings are self-defense
Jerrold Cohen ,   Seal Beach, USA   (01.28.11)
All Israeli soldiers kill in self-defense because there are terrorists around. And we who have read the Israeli news for decades know that "self-defense" is an Israeli term for "he is only a Palestinian cockroach, and it feels so good to put a bullet in his body that I think I'll get rid of him." And then the soldier puts in his report that he killed him because the Palestinian held his hand in a suspicious manner as if he were holding a gun. Wake up Israelis. We figured out long ago what your words "self-defense" really mean.
