1. ??? I thought Gaza was "the world's largest prison"? WTF?
(01.30.11)
"Some of the inmates who escaped were Islamic Jihad men who even managed to reach the Gaza Strip border." They traded one prison for another??? How can this be? Isn't Gaza besieged? Isn't there hunger there? I wonder?
2. their slogan die for something live for nothing about sums
(01.30.11)

4. Wow. Terror Square with 10000 people instead of 10000 cars
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (01.30.11)
Bizarre, for any of us who have had to cross Tahrir (terror) Square any other time in history.
5. Maybe now even the most stupid people
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.30.11)
on the face of the earth can see, that the building of houses in the land of Israel is NOT the problem anyone has to address in regard of the stability of the Middle East...
6. Mubarak Has Never Visited Israel
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (01.30.11)
In his 30 years as Egyptian leader, Mr. Mubarak has never come on a visit to Israel, official or otherwise. I find that both extremely odd, discomforting and unforgiveable. One wonders why Israeli leaders never pressed for this most basic gesture, one which would have shown that the Egyptians really want a true peace with their Jewish neighbor. What was Mr. Mubarak's message to us all these years by never having come here on any sort of visit, at all? I also wonder if Mr. Mubarak is not now receiving some sort of Heavenly punishment for this political slap-in-the-face towards us.
7. #2 Total ignoramus, keep your mouth shut
Nour ,   One-State   (01.30.11)
Obviously you know nothing about Egypt or its political problems! Most of the thousands of protestors are young graduates: doctors, lawyers, engineers, who can't even find a job! Mubarak's corrupt circle of elite have fully hijacked the economy and most of their money is outside Egypt anyway. Do you know anything about the emergency law imposed in Egypt since 30 years ago? Lack of real political parties? Total lack of representation? Zip it, will you.
8. Revolution.
ArabFreedomEagle   (01.30.11)
When history is made, nobody can change it. Hossni Pharao Mubarak is at the end. His end means the end of all Occupation, no matter whether it is Arab Occupation or Ysraeieli Occupation. This is a victory of freedom. This is a victory of democracy. This is a victory of dignity. I invite you, my good friends, to celebrate our re-birth. Yes, you guess it. I am the SyrianFreedomEagle.
9. This simply couldn't happen in a modern day country
(01.30.11)
What a bunch of backward inbreds.
10. # 7
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.30.11)
WRONG. Most of the thousands of protestors are the ordinary dirt poor Egyptian citizens who dont have the money to buy food to feed their families. Do remember this is an Israeli news website where you dont have the right to tell any poster to "zip it."
11. #7
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (01.30.11)
and don't forget: Mubarak did all these crimes thanks to American support, exactly like Abbas and Fayyad. And don't forget: Abbas and Fayyad will one day run away to Europe with all the money while Hamas takes over.
12. Give em hell, Hosni. Iron fist, scorched earth....etc,etc..

17. Change is sweeping across the middle east !!
christianpalestinian ,   bethesda, maryland   (01.30.11)
I hope israel is listening to this very carefully. Change will spread from Tunis to Egypt to Jordan, and to Saudi Arabia. If israel is interested in long term peace, they had better abide by international law and withdraw from the entire west bank and east jerusalem. Otherwise, anything is possible!
18. #7 Why didn't you get this mad when Arafat fleeced you??

22. The masses prefer Muslim Brotherhood's repression and
Harry Wright ,   UK   (01.30.11)
sharia law. That is their only alternative as they rush headlong into the dark abyss while they destroy their country in the process. The Muslim Brotherhood will use ElBaradei as the bridge.....another Iran in the making, with Obama's assistance. What a legacy he is creating for himself!
23. Unrest in Egypt is a fundamental Ethiopian National priority
Ethiojegna ,   Addis Ababa Ethiopia   (01.30.11)
As Egypt funded and fueled Ethiopian civil war by backing the liberation fronts to dismember Ethiopia, NOW IS OUR TURN to make sure Egypt remains destabalized, crippled, and distracted. All while we finish constructing 5 brand new dams along the Nile River. Don't worry egyptians, we will send you a postcard :)
