Rafael ,   Yerushalayim, Israel   (01.30.11)
2. El Baradei fate is sealed: puppet of Muslim Brotherhood
(01.30.11)
That also explains his collaboration with the Iranians' Nuclear Bomb aspirations while he was head of the Atomic Agency.
3. Mohamed Mustafa ElBaradei the Iranian traitor
(01.30.11)
Mohamed Mustafa ElBaradei the Iranian traitor , the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran want to rule Egypt. They want Repression of women, prohibition of education, high unemployment, radical Islam as Iran, Somalia and Afghanistan under Taliban rule... As James Earl Carter supported Iranian Islamic Revolution of 1979, so does today Barack Hussein Obama II... What is the condition in Iran 1979 before the islamic Revolution and today in: Human rights ? oppression of women ? freedom of expression ? Today if woman Wearing Jeans or Without a head covering in Iran she will be Punished...!
4. Egypt is repeating 1979 iranian revolution
Ethiojegna ,   Addis Ababa Ethiopia   (01.30.11)
Axis of Alliances is changing in the Middle East. The only Non-arab major alliance Israel still has is with Ethiopia. Iran and Turkey sold themselves out to forces of terror and arab proxies. Now is the time to build large strategic military and economic alliances with Ethiopia in order to counter the arab threat to Africans and Israel
5. It is NO coincidence that El Baradei was in Egypt at this
time.He is a pawn of ,   Iran.   (01.30.11)
6. THIS UN FAILURE EL-B MUST BE SHUT UP!
stude ham   (01.30.11)
the egyptians are absolute fools following the orders now of some highly suspicious and very dangerous political madmen. the other shoe must drop and it won't be long before someone turns their anti-semitic anti-israel rants over to the mobs... something like the ever to be forgotten nasser.
7. Mubarak isn't leaving anytime soon
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (01.30.11)
While he may leave or lose power it isn't going to happen under these circumstances. As much as the MSM tries to promote it. I just don't see it happening, first, things will settle down with Mubarak still in power, then he will negotiate what will be done. He will not allow these people to force him out, and as long as the military backs him, they can't, it that simple. How many really trust ElBaradei, and his self serving remarks. Yes he'll take over Egypt, reluctantly as if he's doing them a favor. He uses all the right words the Western media likes to hear: "We need to be free, democratic, and a society where people have the right to live in freedom and dignity," he said." The fact that Muslim Brotherhood backs him makes that a crock. They want Koranic Law for the country, not Democracy. I wonder what the people of Egypt really want?
8. ElBaradei
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (01.30.11)
Elbaradei will be the Nasarala of Egypt,a quisling in service of Iran, who is going to feed 80 Million people ruled by the brotherhood of the Muslim brothehood and hizbulla ?,Iran may be able to feed the people of it's new aquired province, formerly called Lebanon, but how is Iran going to feed the people of Egypt ?.
9. 1979 Redux
Kevin Ingram ,   Kigston,Jamaica   (01.30.11)
It is amazing the amount of parallels the current situation in Egypt had with the situation in Iran in 1979. America was ruled by a weak left wing President who hated Israel. The us pressured allies while cosying up to extremist. And the world watched as Women and Intelectuals willingly gave up their freedom. There can only be one winner in all of this and it is the Muslim Brotherhood and they are playing El Baredei as the Ayatollah played the pro democracy activist in Iran then. Obama with his naivety is going to have one more country fall to the extremist( maybe he is secretly loving this). The world need only to look at Turkey and see the result of political islam. I am convinced that for Arabs/Muslims there are only two choices Dictatorship/Extremism i would advise Obama/Clinton/EU to choose wisely
10. This Jerk does not understand that -
Orao. ,   Srbia.   (01.30.11)
Mubarak clinging to power with the army in the streets - though he fired his cabinet and appointed a new vice president and prime minister. "I think this is a hopeless, desperate attempt by Mubarak to stay in power," ElBaradei told CNN. "I think it is loud and clear from everybody in Egypt that Mubarak has to leave today, and it is non-negotiable for every Egyptian." -this was done to save Egypt whatever the outcome. Orao.Srbia.
11. el baradei was calling for riots
zionist forever   (01.30.11)
When this uprising was in its infancy El Baradei was calling on the people to rise up and overthrow Mubarak. I don't suppose its coincidence that El Baradei wants a unity government whilst he wants the presidency for himself. El Baradei is looking for Obama to back him officially. The west love this idiot because he was head of the IAEA especially Obama because he is no friend of Israel but he is convinced Iran has no nukes so no need for violence. The west needs Mubarak for regional stability not El Baradei and the Muslim Brotherhood who he works for. Better to let Mubarak serve his full term till October and then help his new vice president win the election because he is known and liked by Israel & the US.
12. Don't Trust ElBaradei.
Ali ,   Scotland   (01.30.11)
He is far to honest and he thinks only crazies would bomb Iran furthermore he knows what Israel is all about and shows no support. This man is far too decent he'll probably open the Egyptian border and throw a life line to long suffering Palestinians.Gosh it would be really tough for Israel having honest talking man running Egypt.
13. From bad to worse
AlbertoGA ,   St. George,USA   (01.30.11)
Mr El B. is an dangerous agent of Iran. If he love the motherland why he was in Vienna If the Egyptians think that they had a bad time with Mubarak, Well ! just wait, Guys. First part... any other religion but Islam will be persecuted in Egypt. Woman will have to cover 100% in the street. Education will be restricted to Islam dogmas plus good old Charia. The salaries will not improve at all. Less no more work. Israel will have to ring Gaza and not let any trafic with Egypt. The Peace treaty will be just a vague Memory. And that is the Future of Egypt.
14. Maybe someone here can answer me
E ,   United States   (01.30.11)
If the uprising in Egypt takes an Islamic turn, who would be the religious figure head that would lead it? Would it be a person like Khomeini? Please only serious answers!
15. Hey, Israel, This Is Good News in Egypt
Abu Ali   (01.30.11)
The protests in Egypt are threatening to transform and democratize the entire region. So why all the "grim faces" on American&israel news channels? Because a free Egypt will mean less American power in the Middle East and expose American and Israel hypocrisy, the danger to America and Israel is that the Egyptian revolution will destroy this false choice of secular dictator-or-crazy Islamists by showing that Arabs are smart articulate people who can handle real democracy if they get to make it themselves."
16. Iranian Clerics couldnt pay El Baradei enough money for his
Yaawqove ,   Israel   (01.30.11)
help. This scoundrel is supposed to be a physicist not a politician. Good job with the iranian nuke drive. Noticed you came back in time for the riots. Good timing or opportunistic sedition to support Islamicist aims. intentionally or not el baradei is a pawn for the Jihadists. They will cut his neck without blinking if he doesnt do as hes told and vacate his post when the time is right.
17. re: Elbaradei, Muslim Brotherhood & Iran in Egypt protest
joel ,   usa   (01.30.11)
Mr Elbaradei has been to Iran for many times, supposed;y inspecting nuclear bomb productions but have seen "nothing"(?) according to him, and possibly have sidemeetings with the terrorist regime, and now he leads the protest which was secretly organized & supported by the Al Qaeda link Muslim Brotherhood which supported their own candidates last elections but were defeated by the adminstration candidates and blamed cheating? so, that is mr Elbaradei, the traitor as some have called him, the UN diplomats knows mpre about him! he wants to be president of Egypt, too?
18. #12 - i also wish, egypt had a border to "palestine"...
eporue ,   europe   (01.30.11)
but there is only one with gaza, which they should open immediately, and re-take responsibility, to run it in a decent manner... in the first place, it was egypt who caused the gazans suffering, because they let them down. they didnt take it back.
19. A domino effect?
Haider ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (01.30.11)
You cannot bargain when it comes to chosing a demacratic way of getting things done in a country. If democracy means that the Muslim Brotherhood comes to a position of power i Egypt, not that I like the idea, so be it. It is exactly the same as when democracy make Zionism the leading political power in Israel.
20. 16
zionist forever   (01.30.11)
After the revolution in Tunisia El Baradei called on the Egyptians to rise up and follow in Tunisia's footsteps. A couple of months back he was challenging Mubrarak and putting himself forward as a presidential candidate. I smell a rat here and it comes in the form of Mohammed El Bardaei who also happens to be backed by the Muslim Brotherhood.
21. to nr. 11.
entrepreneur ,   planet earth   (01.30.11)
it is not up to the us and/or ""israel"" or any other country to what happens/will happen in egypt. it is up to the egyptian people to decide about their own country. egypt is an independant, souvereign country, with the right of self-determination.
22. think
mohson   (01.30.11)
al-baradei who gave cover to ahmadinejad and let iran stall on their nuclear file and did a big zero in checking their nuclear ambitions, suddenly becomes the darling of the egyption street protest. Eichnar immediately waives the white flag of surrender soon to be followed by barak, olmert, livni, braverman saying israel has to take any bad deal because the egyptians oh my god are coming to get israel. That israel is surrounded by hamas, hezbollah,s yria, soon the brother hood of egypt and jordan is no bother to livni. She says its is good for israel. Mubarak had urged israel to go all the way to take out hamas and hezbollah but olmert was yellow. Israel has to absorb a spartan attitude till the last man. You guys did not do what I told you to do which was to take out hamas totally. You keep saying moral army, chosen people, beyond being arrogant, what good has it done israel? In any case, even if you behave, they still still attack you (UN,, Turkey etc) Another idea might be if the UN offers you a land far away that is paid for and no one has any claims on it and gives you a 20 trillion dollar start up fund, to move away from the arabs as far as possible. While our history is in Jerusalem, it was probably a mistake to move back amidst the arabs,t hough israel is a wonderful, beautiful country. For 2000 years, jews lived under the thumb of the overlords and still produces the weak knead jews which is distresssing-ben ami, beilin, eichnar, tamir, amir oren, verter, barnea, ramon, peretz. It is hard to read their views especially given jewish history. Israelis should take a deep breath and keep their resolve to enjoy the day. If tommorrow brings the last day, enjoyt the moment and go out with a bang. Do not humiliate yourselves like eichner suggests. Jews have to be their own landlords and keep that in mind when people suggest shared condominiums. if liberman is indicted, uzi landau should be moved over to foreign minister, yaalon moves over to defense and barak can go to strategic affairs.israel needs its best guns blazing. Finally, it is distressing that kohavi of military intelligence new in his job wrongly predicted that mubarak regime was stable.Hopefully, he is not another zeira. One more mistake and replace him.

Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (01.30.11)
The Persians thought it was good news when they got rid of the Shah and they are smart articulate people. One problem is that the people may be able to handle real democracy but their religion can not. It's like trying to mix oil with water. I would like to see all Arabs free but I don't expect it to happen.
24. Egypt vs rebels
Brod ,   USA   (01.30.11)
Mubarak should order the Army to capture the rebel leader--ElBaradei that is funded by the Ayatollahists.
25.  ElBaradei
Jim Brown ,   TN USA   (01.30.11)
ElBaradei lied on CNN. He is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. He is the former director of the International Atomic Agency that covered up the evidence that Iran and Syria were developing Atom Bombs.
26. # 25
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.30.11)
ElBaredei is the puppet of the Muslim Brotherhood. They are to blame for starting these riots.
27. Elbaradei should be assassinated.
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (01.31.11)
Obama, Cater, and Clinton are on the wrong side of history. They might as well have screwed Israel right along with Egypt. When Mubarack retains his power...he should immediately ally with Russia and China while kicking the United States, to the curb. I am personally ashamed to have such an inept idiot running the country as Obama. The idiot doesn't even rate the title of President. Egypt will be a Muslim theocracy like Iran with Obama's wonderful hand in this mess. Obama might as well have blown up all the oil fields in the Middle East with this smooth move.
28. Baradi is lying through his teeth
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.31.11)
Surely, you all remember how he swore up down and sidewasys, that the Iranian's weren't seeking a nuclear arsenal I'm willing to wager, that he is in the emply of Iran, receiving a very substantial sum as a reward for his efforts
29. "elbaradei" translates stupid idiot in English
any language ,   for that matter   (01.31.11)

Ali ,   Scotland   (01.31.11)
Gaza is Palestine same as the west bank! what a strange response .It was never Egypt .But you cant see past destroying Palestine eh.You seem to think you can just take part of a country ,Egypt could never annex the Gaza strip because its Illegal.
