31. 19 - Isn't that the same thing that happens in the US
split ,   US   (02.02.11)
No it's not , since 1988 you can't deny (federal law) to sell , rent , lease , based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin, also you can't exclude it in advertising for the same reason.
32. 22 - sarah B.S in action,...
split ,   US   (02.02.11)
Mud the waters , change the subject derail the topic , point the finger at others (got your own n.gga) and get the hell out of there before they catch you're lying ,...
33. @32
Shane   (02.02.11)
she does it al the time... can't stand by what she says
34. Sarah . It are COOPERATIVES
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.02.11)
And in every cooperative , not only housing ones , they can reject would be members . A community is something very different . To prove that laws have been violated has to be done by the rejected , not me . It are the RULES
35. Sprotje 31 .
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.02.11)
A board commitee of a cooperative building can reject a would be candidate WITHOUT giving any reason . "We have not accept you" is enough .
36. To: No. 31
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.02.11)
Yes, but if a cooperative apartment building board or committee denies your application and is not required to provide a reason for the denial, you are still stuck with the burden of proving that the denial was unlawful. Good luck with that one.
37. To: No. 34
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.02.11)
Okay, so substitute "gated community" for "cooperative apartment building." The same application / rejection process applies. Anything to make you happy, Charles.
38. if they would work to support themselves...they could afford
JEWBIE ,   Atlanta, USA   (02.02.11)
they could afford the GAS.
39. All anti Zionists should leave Israel!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (02.02.11)
I do not want to have as neighbors anti Zionists or illegal aliens. There is plenty of room for them in other parts of the M.E. What is so hard for people to understand? The arabs can live in peace in their village, towns and cities and Jews do not move in. However they want to bust Jewish neighborhoods and villages and take over. Enough we want them out and selling or renting to the arabs should be against the law. Let the landlord or landowner lose his or her property forever as a punishment. The same goes for renting to illegal aliens.
40. HOW COME WE ARE WET NURSES TO GAZA?
(02.02.11)
hummmm? why is that? now is that racist, we give them water, electricity, food, medicine, and the lsit goes on................
41. #27 CHARLES - Look at the evidence: Kochav Segal Halevi
Howard K   (02.02.11)
Google the name "Kochav Segal Halevi". He is a Jew who bought a house from a Christian Arab in an Arab town. He almost did NOT survive the night. A mob armed with serious looking baseball bats and knives came during his first evening there and told him in very convincing terms to clear out immediately. He did. And what about Vadim Nurzhitz and Yossi Avrahami who did not survive even minutes in Ramallah in 2000? There's a YouTube video about their demise. Charles, stop defending those who really want to do you harm, and calling "stupid", "biped" or worse those who disagree with you.
42. 35 - "We have not accept you" is enough . ,...
split ,   US   (02.03.11)
No , it's not in the court of law ,...
43. Howard 41 . I don't defend arabs
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.03.11)
But i don't like people who give many times WRONG arguments . Sarah said it , why did'nt she answer ? I know the case of those two soldiers who were lynched , don't need Youtube . If you look you will also find Israelis who returned unharmed from "palestinian territory" , There are tb'ers who deserve "nice" names , so i give them , and i don't need to receive lessons from anybody .
44. 37 , Sarah
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.03.11)
So why did you talk about "cooperatives" , that are only a financial aqssociation , not the case in , most i think , communities . Different communities have DIFFERENT rules . Think about it before writing errors [ not the first time you make big errors ] Kibbutzim , if i remember well , , had also "admission commitees" ,
45. To: Charles at No. 44
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.03.11)
Charles, it was a term of convenience which resonates most closely with me because I live in a cooperative apartment building in New York City. And a cooperative is far more than a financial association. I am a shareholder in a very lucrative corporation. That's what owning a cooperative apartment means. (Well, actually, I own two.) I did not make an error (I think you really need to understand far more about New York law than you clearly do before accusing me of making errors.) You know what astounds me -- you keep trying to pick apart my arguments based on linguistic technicalities of a language which you do not know well and which I know VERY, VERY well. Not to mention the law. Give it a rest, Charles. I'm not challenging you. You're smart, okay? Did you like the term "gated community" better? Do you believe that there is a substantive difference apart from the fact that most gated communities involve homes rather than shares in a corporation? Aren't YOU lucky that I didn't bring up condominiums (another form of ownership)! Like I said, Charles. Give it a rest. Oh -- by the way -- I'm still not a great big fan of the Vatican, even though you are. Let's just agree to disagree on certain points.
46. To: No. 43
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.03.11)
Oh, but I did answer. You just didn't like it and went on a silly jeremiad that did nothing except point out your ignorance. Oh, well. C'est la vie, eh sweetie? Are you an expert on American real estate law? No, of course not. Your talkbacks prove it. So please just defer to someone who does know what she is talking about. No matter how painful an exercise it is for you. Why not regale us a little bit on how much you love the Roman Catholic Church and think it is the great friend of the Jewish people. You're really good at that, no matter how wrong and misguided you are .... Ciao, bubbeleh.
47. Sarah , WRONG
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.03.11)
Where dide i say that i'm a fan of the vatican ? I ALWAYS said that the then pope did'nt say anything against the anti Jewish measures in public . Is that a fan ? Yes , i said that lower clergy did act to save Jews . Does this mean that i'm a fan ? I'm a fan of correct arguments , not exagerations , i will not say that 300,000 thousand priests are jailed in the USA as you did . Shareholders are associated financially , communities mostly NOT . Don't you see the difference ? or don't you want to see . Listen Sarah , here you are not in a courtroom , you have'nt to win . And , by the way , are you still using "annexation" instead of REUNIFICATION ? Have a nice day .
48. Sourele , 46
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.03.11)
Your 30 was NOT an answer , only telling that they are "larger" and asking me how i will prove that laws were not observed . You know what you are talking about ? But you mix up a financial association in nthe USA , with a community here in Israel . I don't LIKE people who tell LIES as you DO in your 46 . I tell the trut when i say that some clergy have saved Jews . This is NOT love for the roman cathol;ic church , it's being OBJECTIVE , not HATEFULL as you are . At least i may be "misguided" but i don't tell lies as you do . And i LIVE only in Israel , even if i'm regularely in Europe .
49. To: No. 47
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.03.11)
Reunification doesn't apply, dear; it is not like West and East Jerusalem, both of which were sovereign. Judea and Samaria are non-sovereign territory; annexation is the appropriate term.
50. To: No. 48
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.03.11)
Some clergy saved Jews. Wow! Pius XII -- candidate for sainthood (!) -- did nothing; not even to issue a papal bull (wonder why they're called that) telling all Roman Catholics that they must do their utmost to protect their Jewish neighbors. Many desperate Jews gave their small children to convents and monasteries for safekeeping, along with huge sums of money -- and many, many of those children were handed right out the backdoor to the Gestapo (like my uncle) and others were converted (presumably, very much against their parents' will). So I really do not care about one low-level clergyman who was probably handsomely paid for his efforts. The Roman Catholic Church sat passively while six million Jews were murdered, and then that same Roman Catholic Church assisted wanted Nazi war criminals escape Europe by giving them Vatican passports. That's not misguided, and that's not a lie.
51. 49 , we were talking about JERUSALEM
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.03.11)
Short memory when becoming old ? Again a non true argument .
52. 50 Sarah , you are a disgusting LIAR
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.03.11)
Look at the Righteous lists . I counted the number of French righteous priests and bishops . Half way i had already more than 80 . No ONE but hundreds pastors and bishops saved Jews . And they were NOT paid , even not to feed those children . What a DISGUSTING person you are by denying facts .
53. Sarah , some things you wrote are right
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.03.11)
And this i wrote it already , Vatican assisted nazi criminals . Yes . The then pope did'nt say anything , not even when 2500 of his priests were murdered in Poland . A fact . But there were hundreds of low level clergy who saved Jews , or who were hiding Jews , without receiving anything , the contrary of what you hatefully wrote . And i was hidden for some months by one of those priests . I have his name only since February 2005 . Your hate , your exagerations , make that all your writings are VALUELESS .
54. Sarah i forgot the Fiinaly Brothers
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.04.11)
Those two brothers , hidden during the war by nuns, who refused to return them to their family after the liberation . They lived , and probably still live , here in MY country .
55. Sara B's claims
Borukh ,   Toronto, Canada   (12.01.11)
My son and his family live in Brooklyn. I am familiar with the laws, federal, state and municipal that govern the behaviour of cooperatives in New York City. Sara B. is absolutely wrong in asserting that turning down an applicant for admission to a coop is above human rights codes and cannot be challenged in court, even when the *apparent* reasons seem to be non-racist in nature. And if the courts determine that indeed excuses have been put forward by the "committee" which do not hold up under close examination, they will overturn the decision. Thank G-d the USA is a country of law and freedom, where justice trumps racism, despite people like Sara B.!
