1. Isaiah 19
Marcel ,   Florida   (02.02.11)
Could we see Isaiah 19 coming to pass before our eyes ? We will know soon enough. 1 The burden against Egypt. Behold, the LORD rides on a swift cloud, And will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst. 2 “ I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; Everyone will fight against his brother, And everyone against his neighbor,City against city, kingdom against kingdom. 3 The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel,
2. The Arab world is changing
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (02.02.11)
This is getting scarier. The Egyptians despise Israeli's and the only person that kept them contained was Mubarak. It is a sad thing to say but Arabs/Muslims need dictators such as Saddam The Sauds, Qaddafi etc and the Muslim countries that have any resemblance to western style democracies become chaotic ie Pakistan/Iraq. This is why Erdogan in Turkey is towing the Islamic anti-Israeli line because he understands the sentiment of his people.
3. Stone age in Egypt, really ! ?
AlbertoGA ,   St.George, USA   (02.02.11)
As long as they do this home it is A OK with me. But the real problem is that Circus will move now all around the ME area. Now one thing is good about this. We did not give them land for Peace. Peace is not existant in the Muslim Dictionary.
4. where was the promised land?
observer   (02.02.11)
The native dwellers of Palestine were called “Palestinians” by Herodotes in 5th century BC, 2500 years before (modern) Israeli statehood; but Herodotes never heard of Jews, though he walked across the whole land. Jews appeared three hundred years later. The discoveries made by the new archeology, during the 1980s, discredited a great exodus in the 13th century BC. Moses could not have led the Hebrews out of Egypt into the Promised Land, for the good reason that the latter was Egyptian territory at the time. And there is no trace of either a slave revolt against the pharaonic empire or of a sudden conquest of Canaan by outsiders.
5. #1 do you believe that Army
observer   (02.02.11)
why do those todays Egyptians descend from ancient Egyptians? unless you believe that conversion from Coptic to Islamic faith could have been made rightly by ancient Army Shiekhs.
6. $17 to take part in the pro-Mubarak rally

9. This sets the stage
mike Caton ,   Vestal, NY USA   (02.02.11)
A civil war between the two factions sets the perfect stage for the radical anti-West, enemies of Israel, the Muslim Brotherhood, to step in. The MB will declare that only they-ISLAM, can save Egypt. Israel had better prepare for a preemptoyr retaking of part or all of the Sina Peninsula. It cannot afford to have the MB on its borders.
10. #4; observer, What's your source
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (02.02.11)
Before I judge the credibility of your statements show us your source. Why you strive so hard to discredit Israel is certainly no mystery.

13. mubarak is inciting a civil war...
eporue ,   europe   (02.02.11)
he could have prevented all worse clashes, if he had stepped down quite quickly. protesters were not armed, not organized. now, he sets the place on fire, and the formerly peaceful protestors HAVE to arm up TOO, to encounter the plain-clothes inciters. the aim is, that mubarak can say "oh no, while the country is on fire, i cant leave, i cant leave it on its own. first there must be a calm blah blah" reminds much of bibis strategy to fool people. did he give mubarak that advice ? especially strange, as bibi just said, the civil war could go on for years...
14. Hatred, violence, irrationality
Marcella   (02.02.11)
Our western media idealizes this revolution just as it idealizes other tyrants such as Fidel and Che Guevara. And Hamas. To enquires about danger to Israel should the Islamists take power, Middle East "experts" tell us not to worry our pretty little heads. These are sophisticated, modern, educated Egyptians - they assure us - who just want to exercise their long-denied democratic rights. However, every once in a while, almost by accident, our TV screens catch sight of demonstrators fists in the air, foaming at the mouth, screaming very nasty things against Jews and Israel. That is the face of this uprising our media does not want to show us. To no avail. Just give them enough time - only days, actually - and we'll see the true face of this Egyptian revolution for "democracy". ****************** By the way, I keep seeing Op Eds by leftist writers, but none of them has expressed any regrets for the surrender of Sinai. And none of them has backtracked in their push for giving up Judea, Samaria, Golan and Jerusalem. Yes, there's plenty of irrationality on this side of the border too.
15. Israel/USA Should Watch From the Wings
Noah Lev ,   USA   (02.02.11)
None of this has anything to do with Israel, like it or not. However, Israel will of course benefit from a democratic regime, more concerned about its people than fighting the Jews. Israel/s 5.5m Jews cannot mold the M.E to its liking. Already, some US pundits are saying this is a chance for Israel to make peace with the Palestinians. Why? This is the worst time. Israel moves to the 67 borders..and allows 4m Arabs in. What? Wait. a moment. The US can do little..except send a few fleets to guard the Suez and the oil routes. Israel could retake the Sinai/bomb Hamas/Hez to dust if threatened. Maybe use nukes?
16. #4 - Observer speaks for the dead
William ,   Israel   (02.02.11)
but fails to read their words before taking on their behalf. Observer - again your intellectual dishonesty has broken your facade. It is true that Herodotes spoke of people living in Palestine in the 5th century, to which he was referring to a province in upper Syria and not the land of Israel. The action of naming Israel "Palestine" was performed by the Romans to not only cut the tie between Jews and their land but also to add insult to their injury. This is well-documented and even Arab scholars have argued the falsehood of Roman action 1000 years ago up to the 19th century, especially because it undermined the arguments for The Levant becoming whole again. There is plenty of evidence both in Egyptian texts and those of Canaanites, Pheonicians, Philistines, and people of Crete from that time period that did support the 10 plagues and the exodus of Israelites from Pharoah Egypt. Simply because it doesn't make sense to you or you rely solely on your narrow perspective to create a narrative, doesn't make it true. You've simply took an exercise in the most basic of conspiracy theories.
