1. Glad to read this. The bee population
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (02.06.11)
in North America is also at risk. Assuming that Turkey's anti Western government will change back along the lines which Ataturk envisioned, it is in both our interests to keep up scientific and other cultural relationships.
2. Good news.
G. ,   Istanbul, Turkiye   (02.06.11)
Despite radicals on both sides, Turks and Israelis should continue scientific, cultural and business relations. Turks and Jews have had good relations for centuries, this should not be damaged because of some radicals.
3. oh yeah...
turkish ,   izmir   (02.06.11)
Ataturk was a crypto jew and british spy, he did what he was dictated to by his western and jewish masters. Turkey will eventually get rid of his awful heritage soon...
4. Right back @u #3
Ataturd ,   Israel   (02.06.11)
Every piece of prosperity and well-being you have in your country is owed to this guy doing away with the backward ways of the past including, YES, dumping the Arab letters. Reversing this will, in no time, place you right smack in 1644 or smg like that. Oh, and without Ottoman Empire's former glory because it's passe, pardon moi.
5. No 3...

I have a feeling that you are not Turkish and if you are really... shame on you! I am a proud daughter of Ataturk and so that you know we wont let nut jobs like you take over our beautiful country...
6. To #3 Hating the West
Nora Tel Aviv   (02.06.11)
Hating the West will not make an intelligent person out of you. Do not take the Arab way, full of hate and destruction. Enter the 21st century civilization.

I am originally from izmir and I know crypts jews. Ataturk was not one. He was born to a pious Mulim family in Salonika and had his first schooling at a Madrasa. His mother Zubeyde lived her last years in karsiyaka and my father knew her. She was a very religious Muslim. On the other hand my neughbor at Plevne bulvari in the 1950 and 60ies tehn mayor of izmir Osman Kibar was a cripto Jew and proud of his heritage. first; stop spreading lies. Second; what difference does it make weather Ataturk was a crypto jew or Muslin. It is his achievements that count and the fact is that he took a weak and tired nation after a lost war and re created a modern secular democracy. Unfortunately today under AKP his reforms are under attack. Please read Ataturk's biography by Lord Kinross and learn. he was not a western agent, he fou8ght the western powers including the British. but he was great enough to make peace with them at the right time.
10. #3 Reveal your true identity please!
Ibrahim ,   Ankara, Turkey   (02.07.11)
Who are you to belittle Mustafa Kemal Ataturk? Even if Ataturk was jewish who really cares? I don't care about the religious views one has...I care about his deeds! It is sick people like you that causes problems in this world. I am also happy to see the Bee Convention going ahead with fully support from Turkey's MOFA.

12. Turk of #3. You amaze me.
Eran ,   Singapore   (02.07.11)
What a hateful post. Hateful to Ataturk and his reforms, hateful and scornful to the Jewish people. As one poster writes here; "What difference does it make weather Ataturk was a crypto jew or Muslim or even Buddhist or Hindu or Sikh?. It is his achievements that count and the fact is that he took a weak and tired nation after a lost war and re created a modern secular democracy. " Go read Turkish History again. You probably were still living on the trees then. You are a SIK and paranoic Turk. Even your compatriots here ridicule you.

I bet you never bought or ate any honey in your life. You can buy Iranian Honey, Iranian onions, Iranian drones that crash, that will be good for you. Anyway, come to israel if you or one of your family unfortunately gets a heart attack or cancer. Israel can help you with the best caridac CT, cardiac stents, pacemakers or even artificial hearts weighing less than 150 gr and best cancer drugs. Come over, we'll do our best.
14. Kemalism is the biggest obstacle in front of turkish reforms
turkish ,   izmir   (02.07.11)
Of course it's no big deal if he's Turkish, Jewish, Greek, Armenian, Albanian or Arabic etc. There were many statesmen among those. Ottoman state never cared about the race, the ironic thing is that it was betrayed by those whom it gave freedom and cultural rights.but the problem is that Turkish people were brain-washed for decades, he was introduced to the people as a semi-god with supernatural powers., you have no right to criticize what he did, there are statues, portraits of that bloody dictator everywhere in turkey, is it normal in a democratic country?.Turkish people are awakening and turkey is becoming a true democratic country. I'm not surprised Jewish state praises him so much and strives to retard the democratic improvements made in Turkey.
15. To Turkish , Izmir I am glad that the most turkish people
Monastras ,   Turkey   (02.07.11)
do not buy your rubbish. Shame on you. You have read a few stupied book and now trying to sell the same crap. When you say Ataturk was a jewish man. You think you have insulted him. But after reading your comment, I am tempted to convert to judaism.
16. Turkish Izmir #14 Great comment.
Eran ,   Singapore   (02.08.11)
If it was not for Ataturk, you would be nothing.Nada, Zero, Zilch. You would have the English, French and Greek flags flying in Istanbul which would be called Constatinople as well as in Izmir where you would be obliged to speak Greek and not Turkish. There is a saying in Turkish, never spit into the water well from where you drink. Well, you just did that! Go read Turkish history instead of imagining it.
17. # 3 turkish ismir
Anna ,   California   (03.06.11)
He must be a" brain surgeon", such a history buff , right out of 1001 Arabian nights.I hope that he is not an example of "higher education" in Turkey. I would think that he should not be using anything invented or produced by Jews, stop using computer and cell phones, hypocracy to no end.
