Rivkah, I mean no disrespect to you, but are you aware that "Allah" and "YKWK" are one in the same? Muslims worship the G-d of Abraham but, since they speak a different language, they use a different name. Allah simply means G-d, just like G-d means G-d in English. It's not as if they dedicate their food to Ba'al or Isis or Apollo or Zeus.

since Jews are not allowed in Bahrain. Shhhhhh.
33. 10 Emanon, USA: There is wonderful food in Israel, too.
Rivkah   (02.07.11)
I prefer Kosher Deli's and restaurants when I can find one because I am certain the food is not halal or dedicated to Allah which is forbidden for me to eat if I want YHWH's protection. Majid did not bring halal food to my sister's but ate it himself with his family. He brought vegetable dishes since the lamb most Iranian ex-pats eat is halal.

37. RE: Salma - Don't take credit for felafel
Kiumars   (02.07.11)
Felafel is actually a Jewish food, Moses himself used to sell felafel on streets before he was arrested for food poisoning! After that event Moses decided to kill his fostered parents (who looked after him for over 40 years) and became the prophet of G-D, and then killed six-seven nations and took their lands and virgin girls! It is all in the Bible!

Nothing can resist the power of pizza! Even mullahs have a slice in secret.
40. Iranian Culinary Achievements
Dan S. ,   USA   (02.07.11)
The show should feature empty plates, pots, pans, etc., as this is their sole achievement. Food that goes up in price every day such that it becomes more and more difficult to afford. Maybe they can spend the entire show blaming this on Jews and Israel.

Jesus said it is not what goes into your mouth which defiles you but what comes out of your mouth. He even explains why he thinks this is so. Therefore TRUE Christians have no problems about eating halal food, kosher food, Chinese food or any other sort of food. As Jesus said quite plainly...what goes into your mouth is irrelevent. His claim was a direct rejection of one of the fundamental beliefs of Judaism. You are getting confused between your Messianic Judaism and ordinary Christianity which rejects the vast majority of your ideas. The point Jesus was making was that the rules about clean and unclean foods are man-made superstitions.
44. I hope this is a joke...
Socius (Iranian) ,   Calgary, Canada   (02.07.11)
I remember during my time in Iran that pasta was a staple food just like rice. Varities of them including spaghetti, and what people here would call Macaroni+ Hamburger Helper, and Lasagna, and the like. Considering Persia had long been at the center of the Silk Road and has both eastern and western influences, which should make it a place where east and west mix to create an amazing country with a plethora of flavours, we have a crazy oppressive regime that keeps concentrating on things that have absolutely no point and purpose. In a few years I think we can say that the ayatollah's regime will have done more harm to my country than the 8 year war with Iraq. I do sincerely hope that people realize that the Iranians are so different from the regime and that there should be no generalizations made about any perceived societal ideologies. People in Israel think they hate the Iranian regime for making threats against them. How about the people of Iran who are directly affected by the actions of the regime each and every day? I think we both share a common enemy.

48. 31 Brooklynjon, Brooklyn, USA: The black stone in Mecca
Rivkah   (02.07.11)
is a moon god, Allah. It is an idol, not the YHWH of Abraham. There are many Arabic words that are similar to Hebrew words. Bin for son instead of ben, for example. But the God of the Hebrews is not the same as the god of the Muslims. It is true, Abraham was the father of many nations. Through Isaac and Jacob, he is the father of the Israelites and Jews, the 12 tribes of Jacob's sons. Through Ishmael and Esau and the sons of Keturah, Abraham is the father of many nations, mostly Muslim. But Allah is not YHWH. It is sad for Muslims to believe He is. If they believed in the God of the Hebrews and of Abraham, they would not persecute the Jews or worship a black stone in Mecca called Allah. Abraham was called out of the land of Ur of the Chaldeans (Iraq). His family worshipped a moon god which is now called Allah. But YHWH did not want Abraham to worship an idol, so He told Abraham to leave there. Go to Mecca and see what you worship. Look at Muslim flags and see the crescent moon on them for the god they worship who is not the God of Abraham.
49. french fries? pizza?
Lisa   (02.07.11)
not too long ago some American politicians who shall remain nameless, banned French fries from their cafeteria in DC because France refused to join their war - remember? I guess stupidity is an international disease in politics as well as religion.
50. Too stupid for words!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.07.11)
Persian cuisine is some of the best in the world. No one -- and I do mean NO ONE -- makes rice as well as the Iranians. Light, flaky and delicious. Put peas in it, and it is to die for! Food is what brings people together. I love trying cuisines of which I have no knowledge. That the Iranians would ban certain foods speaks volumes. None of it good.
51. 43 Brett, USA: As long as what goes into the mouth is the
Rivkah   (02.07.11)
food YHWH commands His people to eat in the laws of Moses, it does not defile the person. Rabbi Yeshua obeyed the written commandments perfectly or he could not have been the Messiah of the Jews fulfilling the Spring Feasts of YHWH. He will come to fulfill the Fall Feasts of YHWH as the Lion of Judah to deliver Israel when His people the Jews who are Jews in their hearts call on him by name. I suggest you read two books. One is "Come Out of Her My People" by C.J. Koster and the other is by Hezekayah Haas called "On Health and Healing." Then you will learn how the early faith of Rabbi Yeshua was changed from a Jewish faith to a pagan religion that worships Je-Zeus on the pagan sabbath of Sunday and they eat pork and other unclean foods like the pagans did and to since they are pagans pretending to know the God of the Jews when they are brainwashed and deceived.
52. 51 Rivkah
brett ,   usa   (02.08.11)
But Christianity actually is the religion which you describe as the ''pagan religion which worships Zeus''. Therefore, when you claim that Christians have a problem with eating halal food you are stating something which is false. Christians don't believe in food rules because the NT clearly shows Jesus telling people that food rules are nonsense. I agree that Christianity is a false religion. I believe Judaism,Islam, Messianic Judaism and Scientology are also false religions.
