31. To Mark of Georgia
Mark ,   Ramallah   (02.08.11)
You are sitting from the comfort of your couch talking and judging about Gaza, I bit you will not survive for a day if you go there. Gazans have built strong resilience over the years of oppression and humiliation fom the Israeli Occupation but that does not deprive them from being right holders . So don't be talking about Gaza if you never seen it. Also, listen to every one who visited Gaza and don't be narrow minded believing only those one sided hypocrites. I feel sad, you live in the land of the free but you still support the brutal Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands. I think you are a hypocrite yourself.
32. the kid will grow up as 'the kid who was delivered by a zion
(02.08.11)
ist". soon after they'll start urban legends about how when they delivered him they injected him with an evil serum that made him a sleeping Zionist cell. he'll be miserable for the rest of his life because he was born next to jews.
33. 24
Bev l ,   Toronto Canada   (02.08.11)
If there were no violence emanating from the west bank there would be no security wall or patrols. You speak of violations of Oslo. What about the continued denial of the existence of the state of Israel, anti-Semitic and anti-Israel programming on the PA controlled media, attempt to by-pass negotiations with unilateral declaration etc. Etc. You cannot even accept a humanitarian act for what it is, a simple good deed. That would require you to see Israelis as something other than consummate evil. Which you clearly can't do. So where is the hope for peace.
34. To Salma
Joe ,   USA   (02.08.11)
A top difference between the sides: I do not want to imagine what would have been the final outcome if an Israeli woman would have been in that situation in the West Bank, maybe some "humanists" jumping to the streets proud of showing the blood of the mother and the baby in their hands after killing them?
35. #32 AND OBSERVER
Jorge el judio ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (02.08.11)
32 and Observer: It is amazing how you connect an act of humanity with the evil. There are lots on newspapers in the world that will be happy to hear about you guys. Get your hatred out of the Jewish.
36. #15 Salma
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.08.11)
At least this ambulance managed to get through Totally unlike the Israeli Ambulance convoy enroute to Hadassah Hospital on Mt. Scopus, with it's Doctors & Nurses, that was ambushed and wiped out by your fellow Arabs, who were overjoyed by their accomplishment
37. #26 NON-OBSERVER
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.08.11)
When was the last time you were at an Israeli checkpoint to see anything at all ? FYI, Arabs used allegedly pregant women to conceal loads of explosives, hiding the material under their supposedly pregnant bodies They also used Red Crescent & UNWRA ambulances to transports fighters & munitions There''s so much you dont' know, it could fill several libraries
38. Wrong turn
Rina ,   Israel   (02.08.11)
Quite a few Jews who made wrong turns and entered Arab towns and villages did not get out alive.
39. To Mark from Ramallah on #16
Israeli Mother ,   Yerushalayim Israel   (02.08.11)
Not only is it not true that any Arab babies died at Israeli checkpoints, but there is another fact that you are obviously afraid to mention: THERE ARE ARAB DOCTORS AND PALESTINIAN HOSPITALS IN THE WEST BANK AND AZZA!!!! If a woman is in labor, why on earth does she want to come to her "Israeli enemies" to give birth? If you feel that waiting at a checkpoint to verify that you are who you say you are and thereby ensure the safety of hundreds of other people is not what you want to do, then give birth in your own hospitals! Why bother us and use our facilities for free and cause yourself inconvenience? Those outside of the middle east must understand that these Arab crocodile tears are just not real. Arabs can go to their own hospitals and their own doctors, some of whom have been trained by Israel in Israeli medical schools.
40. #15 Salma - Haven't you noticed
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.08.11)
that Y Net, publishes a lot of stuff, including your vitriolic garbage ? I am still waiting for you to post the name of an Arab Democracy that Israel & the World could use as a standard to emulate That's an easy question, try coming up with an answer
41. Ben Jabo , 37 WRONG
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.08.11)
This mark of rammalah knows very much , but don't want to accept TRUE facts . The lynch of two Israelis in his town some years ago , as an example . This never happened for him and alikes .
42. #31; Mark From Ramallah, Really?
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (02.08.11)
I don't have jump off a cliff to know it may not be a wise move, do I? Why should worry about Gaza when whatever problems they do have, are self inflicted? Hamas the elected government in Gaza is on the record, to never accept Israel and to destroy Israel as a final goal. Those are the words from their mouths, not mine. But it's not just me or the narrow minded people who feel the same as me. When you lie to the world as the Arabs did in Gaza, then get caught in the lie, who's fault is that? It has nothing to do with hypocrisy on my part, but on yours. As we see here from a reporter who visited Gaza often he wrote: 2 days after the flotilla incident: "Reporter Steffen Jensen visited Gaza 01. June, 2010: "This time, I had expected to see real suffering...No food. Long queues in front of UN food stocks. Hungry children with food bowls. However, it was not the picture that greeted me...When I yesterday morning drove through Gaza City, I was immediately surprised that there are almost as many traffic jams as there always has been. Is there not a shortage of fuel? Apparently not...I went to Shati refugee camp, also known as Beach Camp...Here is one of Gaza's many vegetable markets that sell much more than just fruits and vegetables. I will not say whether, in better times has been a larger product range than there were yesterday. But there was certainly no shortage of vegetables, fruits or any other ordinary, basic foods. Tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, watermelons, potatoes - all in the mountains at the many stalls. I must admit I was a little surprised. I must admit. Because when I call down here to my Palestinian friends, so they tell me about all the problems and deficiencies, so I expected that the crisis was a little more clear." So it doesn't get much clearer than that does it Mark? As I said even your friends are catching on to the cynical Media manipulation. It would seem I'm not a hypocrite after all, right? It question of facts, and false accusations that your side cannot refrain from making. You just don't like getting BUSTED.
43. @ observer: the IDF does NOT patrol Jericho.
Bat Zion ,   Central Israel   (02.08.11)
I repeat: the IDF does NOT patrol Jericho. There are no IDF ambulances, or any other IDF vehicles for that matter in Jericho, which is under PA control. The ambulance was summoned by the mother's family, otherwise it wouldn't have been there in the first place. I don't expect you to be grateful, but could you at least stick to the facts please, madam?
44. @#32: you're delirious, I've never heard such rubbish.
Bat Zion ,   Central Israel   (02.08.11)
Thousands of Palestinians receive treatment in Israeli hospitals, for which THEY are grateful.
45. #27 - That's an ignorant conclusion
William ,   Israel   (02.08.11)
First, Jericho is on a direct road out of Jerusalem, with an army base on that road. Therefore, an ambulance is not needed to "patrol the streets for hurt soldiers". They are called in when needed....as was in this case. Second, there is no heavy presence of IDF soldiers in Jericho. That city was handed back over to the PA Security services in Fall 2010.
46. #28 - Oslo broken in 2000 by Arafat
William ,   Israel   (02.08.11)
So 11 years later, you're upset that Israel doesn't honor the agreement that doesn't exist anymore. Putz!
47. #42 - EXCELLENT citation Mark!! Thank you.
William ,   Israel   (02.08.11)
We really should collect all of these comments into one pamphlet to hand out to those who claim a crisis in Gaza. Be sure to include reporters from CNN and the BBC, and the govt official from Sudan. The cracks in the "Palestinian" narrative are widening.
48. #24,43 third trial may improve your reading comprehension
observer   (02.09.11)
"The family called an ambulance, but it couldn't make it to our house, which is situated at a mountain top, because of the rain. They called an Israeli ambulance but that didn't work either. Eventually my family took me down to the road where we met soldiers inside the army's ambulance." Well! clearly, "The" army ambulance refers to "The" ambulance in which she delivered her baby.
49. @#48: Again, the IDF ambulance, in which she delivered her
Bat Zion ,   Central Israel   (02.09.11)
baby, was called for by the woman's family, but couldn't climb all the muddy path up to the hilltop where she lives, so it waited on the tarmac road, as high as it could reach in this pouring rain, for her family to bring her down by foot to the ambulance, which they themselves called. Capisci? Not a by-passer patrol waiting for casualties (there's no such thing), but an ambulance on a call, with a passability problem. So, where's the Oslo breech?
50. #47; William, I agree, but it's hard
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (02.09.11)
I have set up folders under different categories, i.e. Pal myths, statistics, pro-Israel, anti-Israel, The Mall (private joke: pictures and video's of the Gaza strip, real life not the fabricated one they want the world to believe). This is why whenever a false charge is made I can usually go right to a legitimate source and blow it out of the water. One of my favorites is "false quotes". These are quotes attributed to usually Jewish Israeli's that are 1) Fabricated out right or 2) taken out context, meaning they left out a key word, phrase or context of its usage, to alter the meaning of what the person said and the the true meaning of it. 3) Also they quote the Talmud falsely, either just fabricating a statement that isn't there at all, or altering the meaning as I've discussed above. But it would be nice to set up some centralized reference. Although some have already done this: The Jewish Virtual Library, Camera and MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute). The last one simply records all radio and TV from the Arab/Muslim Media and translate it to English. Of course you will be accused of promoting hasbara, In the anti Israel writer handbook, this accusation alone, is expected to discredit the source. But you will notice, they never prove what you say as wrong, and provide a source to prove their point. You see although Israel has never been caught in the sort of blatant lying the Arabs engage in, we are only to believe the Arab sources, even though they've been caught numerous times. Israel is the one we shouldn't believe, even though they've never caught lying. The old day is night, night is day defense.
51. #49 are army ambulances put "on call" for Palestinians, and
observer   (02.09.11)
the plain ambulances are on call for the Israelis only? again is Jericho a military occupation zone? isn't breech =rear, breach =break!
52. #7
Jean-Claude Nataf ,   Minneapolis,Minnesot   (02.09.11)
idiot!
53. @#51: Since Jericho is under PA control ("Area A"),
Bat Zion ,   Central Israel   (02.09.11)
Israeli civilian ambulance service ("Magen David Adom", or Red Star of David) does not cover it. The Red Crescent should be the one to answer calls there, but for some reason, as is said in the story, they failed to respond to the call under such severe weather conditions, so when the family called the IDF for help, they sent a military ambulance to help the mother in labour, again, even though the Jericho area is not under Israeli control but PA's. Moreover, IDF medics, seeing as how the infant was in respiratory distress, called for a helicopter to rush him to the Hadassa medical centre in Jerusalem, where his life was saved. And yes, if you ask IDF for help, you shall receive it.
54. thanks Minister of appeasement #53
observer   (02.10.11)
because you clarified what was not mentioned in the story "the family called the military ambulance". But why the civilian Magen David ambulance didn't call it. your hasbara certainly needs some mending.
55. #54 NON-OBSERVER
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.10.11)
The answer is obvious, a military ambulance is better equipped, built more substantially than a civilian one, better able to go into an area that's difficult to navigate The roads were lousy, read the article before you rant on Your ignorance is amazing, since you've never been to Israel to see either type of ambulance You remind me of another retard, Mark, who also speaks about things he's never seen You mentioned "Hasbara", try getting some brains for yourself
56. @#54:If you dial 101 from Jericho you reach The Red Crescent
(02.10.11)
- Not Magen David Adom. Jericho is in the Palestinian Authority, area A. Magen David Adom, or any other Israeli civilian for that matter, is not allowed to go there, so only the Red Crescent can give you medical help there. Even IDF Ambulances need special clearance to go into Jericho. Have a nice day.
57. What if roles were reversed?
Daniel ,   New York, NY, USA   (02.10.11)
If Fatah, Hamas or Hezbollah soldiers had found a Jewish woman going into labor, would they give her the same treatment? I'm just curious. And of course this article does not make it into the mainstream media, because it shows Israeli soldiers as HUMAN. To the left-wing media, Israelis are all monsters.
58. The baby will never know this
Vlad   (08.04.11)
And he'll grow up believing that the Jews are subhuman murderers who must all be killed.
