1. We are in the most vulnerable position in the world.
noa ,   israel   (02.09.11)
Figures the British would all of a sudden turn the blame and somehow get us to shoulder the responsibility for events not under our control.
2. Hague and English language
Yehudi ,   Jerusalem   (02.09.11)
Hague should go and learn the English language. The word "belligerent" cannot be applied to what Prime Minister Netanyahu said. What he said was merely some possible scenarios of the uprising in Egypt.
3. the brits caused so many wars, and the
ghostq   (02.09.11)
only thing that consern them is decorum of Israelis, I rather hang out with someone rude with good intentions over people with manners but no hearts, what so ever. no manners can cover the brits own actions from enslaving other people to creat wars, India and pakistan is the Brits mess, and the Israeli pali dispute, no matter how polite you will become you canot cover that up.
4. Anothe Selfdeceived Idiot !.
Orao. ,   Srbia.   (02.09.11)
All those Experts Speaks about the PEACE PROSESS, and there Has Never Been any, PEACE PROCESS. The Arabs and the so called Palestinians and Muslims, has Never Hold their Peace, but has gone to War against Israel for Sixty Years now. And Still they dont want any PEACE, but only Victory against israel. And This Selfdeceived Idiot speaks of an Peace Process in Danger. Why are not those Selfdeceived Idiots, told to go and Hold their Peace ?. Orao.Srbia.
5. Hague, stick to the British Isles, and keep your mouth shut.
(02.09.11)
6. Strange talk from the country that made this mess
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (02.09.11)
So many problems in the Middle East stem from the British attempt to take over the world during the 16th-20th centuries. The Brits would come in, take over, take the natural resources, and screw over the local population. When they were finally forced to leave, they drew lines on maps, created new countries, and set their local pets up as the local dictators under the guise of "kings" or some other British silliness. Instead of working to get the Arabs states into the 20th century (first things first, the 21st century will come later for them), the Brits are proving that they are still the belligerent boobs they always were. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here a year and a half after politicians like Hague decided to send a "dying" Lockerbie bomber back to Libya on "humanitarian" grounds because he was on his deathbed. My suspicions are that our "belligerent" language might affect business contracts for Hague's colleagues and sponsors.
7. UK's request to drop negative stance!
Spencer ,   Israel   (02.09.11)
It's not a negative stance. It's a realistic one. Just as an aside, Barak HUSSEIN Obama changing attitudes towards Egypt doesn't exactly make progress in the peace process any easier. Mr. Obama's actions vis a vis Egypt shows once again host how inexperienced he is for the position he holds and what a huge mistake the Ammerican electorate made in putting this man in that position. Oh, and yes, friends and allies of the USA should fear being stabbed in the back by Obama,
8. let's make sure we are polite, like the English
er der   (02.09.11)
Now let's not be 'un-PC' here! We shouldn't call a spade 'a spade', it just isn't the time for that now! Let's just pussy-foot around with polite and kind gestures, as not to upset those scary muslims, so that they don't get extreme on us...
9. It is amazing how such stupid people are
jason white ,   afula,israel   (02.09.11)
appointed foreign secretary or secretary of state. This hague will finally blame Israel for what happened in egypt. And hitlery clinton is still confused, but will also blame us in the end. We need a p.m. that will tell these two characters off. A real p.m. and f.m. would not even talk with hague. It is not like englandistan is an ally of Israel, but the opposite. They are in the enemy camp.
10. Can somebody tell Mr. Hague...
carlos ,   San Diego U.S.A.   (02.09.11)
that Israel is a sovereign country. That England is not a colonial imperialistic country anymore. That he should stop telling others anything. Tell him to look himself in the mirror. He should try to stop the blatant antisemitism of the British press (read anything about Israel in The Economist and the BBC). What is going on here? Enough is enough.
11. Hague - Shameless, impudent and insolent
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (02.09.11)
Shameless insolense and hypocracy from the Brit Foreign secretary. He should look at himself and his own country before unwelcome intrusion in other country's affairs.
12. Hague- Unwelcome intrusion in Israel's business
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (02.09.11)
Hague, the hypocrate lecturing to another soverign democratic country. But , he is sucking up to the Muslim-arabs as he is going on a visit to the area.
13. Unsolicited advice from Brits who started trouble everywhere
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (02.09.11)
14. After all the damages they did, know they have CHUTZPAH
Ari ,   Romania Israel   (02.09.11)
They broke promises, The Balfour Declaration, strangled jewish emigration to Palestine in midst of SHOA,armed and created the Arab Legion in Jordan. Recognized Jordans anexation of East Jerusalem but not the Israeli On top of this Natanyahu cannot express his apprehension on what's happening in the region. Really that is CHUTZPAH at its most.
15. Has Britain ever apologized for the "White Paper"?
Scott ,   USA   (02.09.11)
A quarter of a million Jews died because Westminster shut down the escape line. Have they ever apologized for the Struma?
16. For the Record
Jew ,   Israel   (02.09.11)
I'm wondering when the world will find a way to blame Israel for all of these "Democratic Arab Uprisings" that will eventually be exposed as violent Islamic takeovers of seemingly moderate states. The failure of peace, the collapse of Western diplomacy, it will all be on us while world leaders urge on democracy and our region is ravaged by this S*#t storm.
17. I hope Israel raises it's attacks...
DT ,   TA Israel   (02.09.11)
Better that than we become as "Islam UK " has become ,controlled by a minority and fearful to do anything except placate evil
18. It's Unfortunate!
Tor Die ,   Here & There   (02.09.11)
The CHUTZPAH !!! It's just unfortunate that imbeciles think they can just com here and tell us what to do. Were I a PM or FM I wouldn't even receive such a scumbag in a hundred years to come. It does baffle me still that everyone thinks they have a say in our lives here. Guess whose fault it .is?
19. Plain Stupidity
leo ,   nyc   (02.09.11)
The UK FM knows full well that there are a range of possible outcomes in Egypt and most of them will adversely affect Israel. To think that Israel in response would rush immediately to a permanent arrangement regarding its eastern border with an unstable PA is lunacy, and just plain stupid. It once again proves that the UK, like most of Europe, would be willing to sacrifice the existence of the State of Israel for almost any self- serving reason...
20. Check your facts before blathering rubbish
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (02.09.11)
Hague's party was not in government when the Lockerbie bomber was sent back to Libya. Gordon Brown was responsible for that shameful action and the Tories were against it.
21. #7
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (02.09.11)
It may be a realistic stance but that doesn't mean that it's very sensible to shout it from the rooftops, does it? Also: 1. This isn't about Obama. 2. The word "American" contains only one "m".
22. #9
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (02.09.11)
Your comments are absolute rubbish. Hague's job is to protect Britain's interests, not Israel's. What's a "real" foreign minister? Lieberman?
23. #14
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (02.09.11)
So what? What's all that got to do with the Egyptian uprising?
24. Lock Hague in a room with FM Lieberman.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (02.09.11)
A few hours with Lieberman will be a good lesson for him. At the risk of creating a ''diplomatic incident'' our gov't should very publically & bluntly tell Mr Hague where to get off. Who the hell does he think he is lecturing to us? A third rate country on the decline from a bankrupt (morally & financially) continent, he should worry more about his own country's problems & butt out of ours.
25. DO NOT TRUST THE BRITISH
(02.09.11)
they can be double faces, and can stab you at the back, same as their British weather
26. You have very few friends left...
Andy Mills ,   T Wells, UK   (02.09.11)
Wiki-leaks revealed where the real problem in the Middle East is, the Palestinians offered everything, and in return Israel offered, err well nothing. Practice what you preach, open up your nuclear weapons program to UN inspection, and stop violating international law by halting the building of settlements on occupied territory. Time for you to compromise is fast running out.
27. Brits: Condemn rockets attacks FIRST, or butt out!!!
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (02.09.11)
28. UK Government
Alasdair   (02.09.11)
Friends, Do not mix up the previous socialist Labour Government that spend 13 years kissing the feet of Islam with the New right of centre Conservative's who have been in power for less than 1 year. Our new government inexperienced but still they are at the front line of pushing the Islamists out of Europe, reversing Islamistation and reversing laws that protect the human rights of terrorists and sympathisers. We understand you cannot trust the Arabs but suggest we hide our cards while playing poker rather than telling everyone our position in advance. Discretion. Do not let the lefty BBC and lefty media communists convince you the UK people are loving our explosive islamic hordes who have swarmed to our benefits system. Israel is gaining in popularity everyday while another citizen realises you are on the front line already of the battle we are all going to fight.
29. Eyes wide shut, Mr. Hague
Cynthia ,   USA   (02.09.11)
What Netanyahu said is being repeated by leaders all over the world. It's a realistic concern and the reason Egypt told Iran to mind their own business.
30. Britain blocked urgent U.S. aid to Israel in 1973
Bodkin   (02.09.11)
In 1973, when Israel was at her most vulnerable and desperate, Britain colluded with all other European countries (except Portugal) to prevent American planes from landing en route to Israel. The Americans were trying to send Israel much-needed assistance in the war effort, but the Brits and other Europeans chose to let Israel choke. And we all know that Britain prevented large numbers of Jews from escaping Hitler's ovens by barring them from the Holy Land. And remember that Queen Elizabeth has visited over 100 countries in her time, including more than a dozen Arab ones, but never once bothered to set foot in Israel. Always consider the royal edicts of the British aristocracy in their proper context. Today, that context not only includes their shameful record towards Jews, but also their highly precarious economic condition. They're a shadow of their former self; once great, now humbled. Hague should recall the words of his bard: "...and his big manly voice, turning again towards childish treble, pipes and whistles in his sound."
