61. #53 That didn't bother the Brits: they raped Israel anyway!
(02.09.11)
"proudly choose", eh? That's maybe why the US proudly chose otherwise, while impoverished India, far-away and down-under Australian penal state, and other god-forsaken islands had no choice at the time... This reminds me the "love" and "pride" displayed in Australia by one certain Australian by showing his ass to the shocked Royal Family. During a brief period after WWII, Britain has been a center of culture, arts, politics, bravery and freedom - something to look up to. Now it's nothing but a shell - nice buildings, nice movies, and nice theatres but a rotten political system, controlled by arrogant and elitist Islamo-Leftists, eaten alive from within by anarchists. Sadly, Britain as we knew it is no more. Now give us a break "brett", you're digging and digging but all you achieve is making it clear that you are nothing more than a hateful racist, looking for some attention.
62. Wow
Mark ,   England   (02.09.11)
This website has opened my eyes to other countries views of the British and how Ignorant people seem to be about our current government and our past sacrifices of WW1/2. Who ever asked for the Brits to apologise over the death of Jews over the Nazi’s or Germans during WW2 is just plain bonkers! When a situation is as volatile as Egypt is currently it is common sense not to provoke matters. If Israeli leaders are not intelligent enough to work this out for themselves apparently they do need reminding. The US and Americans will try to help the peace process with the North and South Korea and obviously this will include talking to China, are they large enough for you?? If your politicians want to pass judgment or give advice on our country go for it. I’d welcome any advice on how to deal with this new British bourn extremist threat as this concerns me far more.
63. 54
(02.09.11)
nobody is claiming that Britain fought WW2 to save Jews. The argument is that no Jews at all would have survived if Hitler had won. The survival of any Jews at all was a welcome side-effect of Hitler losing the war. If Britain had not stood alone against hopeless odds in 1939-40 then Hitler would have won because the USA would not have bothered to get involved if Britain had made a peace with Hitler. Hitler was prepared to allow Britain to keep all its colonies in exchange for a free hand to expand Germany in the east into Russia. Hitler had no desire for war with Britain-- he would have been happy to become allies.
64. #38 Glorious Britain starts and ends with one man: Churchill
(02.09.11)
Now it's a mere heap of Muslim-appeasing, racism-laden, spineless, politicians who are too happy to sell their heritage, history, culture and religion to the highest bidder (or most powerful Jihadist dictator). And THEY are assuming to be telling US what to do! They crack!
65. #57 - Mark - you just came back from a mosque!
(02.09.11)
Heck, you're not even an American! Nice try posting this hilarious piece of pathetic disinformation! Do us a favour and study some real English! Your Arabic accent shines through!
66. #58 "mark" you must take your pills, pronto!
(02.09.11)
for God's sake "mark" - can't you even ask for somebody to watch over what you're writing? Are your parents even aware that you're exposing yourself? Or maybe activate that spell checker? Or maybe get some education? Duh!
67. What a nice advice!!
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (02.09.11)
He is asking another country not to have negative stance about another country. Wouldn't that be interfering in another countries business? Did anyone ask this guy for his comment? Or is he trying to gain PR on Israel's behalf?
68. @ #55
Mark ,   England   (02.09.11)
So if you say its "more accurate to say that the Jews survived in SPITE of British". If we had given into the Nazi's do you really think you would be able to say that? "Britain didn't risk life and limb to save the Jews" CORRECT I think we had enough on our plates with our own country and Europe thanks.. "behavior of the British towards the Jews has been largely disdainful and hostile" shame really. You'd think we'd be more hostile towards misguided cultures who hate the Western way of life rather than the Jews/Israelis of those which I have met have all been accepting friendly people. Unlike some of the bigoted ones on this page (not directly aimed at you #55)..
69. #62 Mark
British Zionist ,   Uk   (02.09.11)
I think the point is Mark is that Netanyahu was just talking through the many future possible scenarios of what might happen in Egypt. One of those was that it might turn out a bit like Iran. Now I heard William Hague talking last Sunday from his home constituency and he said the same thing. I think what people are getting upset about is his comments about Netanyahu being belligerent when all he was doing was explaining what could happen. Hague has over stepped the mark here and there is no other possible conclusion.
70. Have I missed the news?
Reuven ,   Herzlia Israel   (02.09.11)
To best of my knowledge, Livni et al. could be arrested if they come to London. And Hague has the audacity to think the Brits can still play a part in the so-called peace process. The belligerence is coming from Britain. Is that hard to understand?
71. He doesn't make any sense. Is he arguing with himself?
Ypip ,   Canada   (02.09.11)
72. Nobody hates the British more than the Israelis
(02.09.11)
but whenever a politician in any country says anything less than positive about Israel the talk-backers on Ynet launch into hateful attacks on the people of that country. I've seen Israelis on Ynet rubbish every people on the planet in the most vicious ways They even hate themselves. They spew out their hate on the Haradim at the slightest opportunity. And if a country helps Israel suddenly the people of that country are true friends of the Jews...until the next hiccup. How can people in other countries homestly take a liking to Israelis like the ones here on Ynet , knowing that at the drop of a hat, as soon as some person in their own country says anything wrong about Israel, the Yneters will viciously insult that country as if everyone living there is dirt... I ask you Yneters -- how can people in other countries be friends with such a volitile hostile fractious bunch of people ? We understand your pain but don't you think you should keep all the hate for Hebrew websites. That what the Arabs do, so I'm told-- keep the hate for their arabic sites.
73. What's the fuss?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.09.11)
Since when does Israel take its marching orders from the Brits? They're still just royally (no pun intended) pissed because we kicked their asses and were the first domino in the chain that subsequently included Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and -- the very jewel in the crown -- India. Hey -- the sun set on the British Empire a long time ago. The Brits caved into Arab and Moslem terror a long time ago. They are -- officially -- entirely irrelevant.
74. Mike #20 - Hague is part of the UK system
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (02.09.11)
It's not Hague's party I'm referring to, but British legislators in general. There's no shortage of shtuyot that the Conservatives are responsible for as well.
75. @ #69
Mark ,   England   (02.09.11)
See the way you have expressed you point is fair shame more people can’t articulate in a non offensive manner. We just have to keep our fingers crossed that things do calm down and no corrupting external influences (I’m not indicating Israel BTW) encourage things to escalate further. At least North/South Korea are getting into peace talks, the world peace is in a fragile state as is..
76. #32 Misinformed Andy
Louis Fried ,   Woodbridge, Canada   (02.09.11)
During World War Two, the British did virtually nothing to rescue the European Jews who were being annhilated by the Nazis. They did not bomb Auschwitz or other death camps even when evidence was presented regarding their existence. And before the war, the UK accepted very few Jewish refugees. So spare us your hypocritical Pommie munificence.
77. #72 WRONG! We DON'T hate the British, only their politicians
British/Israeli Jew ,   Edinburgh, UK   (02.09.11)
Some of my best friends are British (sounds familiar, doesn't it?) Heck, part of my family is British! Why should I hate them - despite them being family The Islamo-Leftist British Foreign Service is notorious for their on-going alignment with the Muslim world narrative and anti-Israeli stance. Their private and public statements regarding Israel have been viciously Anti-Israeli for the last few decades. The racism emanating from their statements and actions is superseded only by the Muslim hatred towards nonbelievers (incidentally, against the British themselves too!) Besides, those who hate the British most are actually the French and Germans - in that order! Next come Spain, Singapore, Thailand and Philippines - these guys think that the Brits are noisy, arrogant, brutal and violent - not to mention drunk 24/7. In stark contrast, just ask how we received the notorious UK soccer fans who came to Israel. Ask ANYONE of them and you'll hear their surprise about the friendship and warmth they experienced here, compared to ANY OTHER PLACE in Europe. Well, they did build themselves a "reputation", but in Israel we ignored that and embraced them, and guess what - there were no riots and burnt cars like in EU. Lats, should I mention the hatred coming from the Muslim world, DESPITE the obscene and public British Foreign Service ass-licking? We do not come even close to hating you guys as much as you'd like everybody to think. You better worry about who *really* hates your guts!
78. The British still want Israel Palisteine back RIGHT ???

79. Sorry!
tax payer UK ,   UK   (02.09.11)
I agree
80. # 44
Birdi ,   Israel   (02.09.11)
Hey clever cloggs, Israel has every right to openly say she is "worried" etc about the events in Egypt. Maybe you dont know,Egypt is one of our neighbours. If Hague wants to give his advice he should OFFER it in private to Bibi.
81. @ #73
Mark ,   England   (02.09.11)
Sarah B, your comments are the most naive I have seen on this site so far Britain “Entirely Irrelevant” Are you real? I think it’s all well and good predicting various outcomes some of which could be catastrophic but perhaps it’s unwise to do it in the world press at such a time turmoil.
82. to #47 sore? the brits weren't strong or smart enough
ghostq   (02.09.11)
they had to get help from you amerikans. most of their army was full of foriegners anyway.
83. Sarah B
Bob ,   New Zealand   (02.09.11)
New Zealand , I vaguely recall from school history lessons became an independent dominion in about 1932 ( or was it 1918 ?) long before Israel was created. I imagine Australia and Canada were same or earlier. India was 1947 from memory. Britain was the one who wanted rid of most of her colonies after the war because they had come to be regarded as financial burden rather than a benefit. Churchill was hesitant on India though because he predicted religious bloodshed on independence ( correctly as it turned out) I know from personal experience that NZ was the big loser after it lost its special relationship with Britain. We used to sell a whopping 65% of our exports to a guaranted market in Britain before she dumped us to join the EEC in the 70s. Now the UK is an insignificant market for NZ. That devasted NZ ,which had to find new markets in Asia and the ME. It did not hurt Britain in the slightest. They were glad to be rid of us I think.
84. to #59 wrong, when one of the price got murder
ghostq   (02.09.11)
that is good enough reason to go for war.
85. Mark @ 75, your worries have no place
Roland ,   Paris   (02.09.11)
You make me smile at your statement to calm things down which I find a usual "galut" attitude that history never proved useful in history. You make me laugh when you post; "At least North/South Korea are getting into peace talks, the world peace is in a fragile state as is.." You know well that nothig will come out of this too. So let Haig and yourself try to deal with your Islamo fascists in your country where you cant even brand your British flag for fear of offending nice muslims. Let Israel deal with the rest.
86. #68, Mark in England
Bodkin   (02.09.11)
Are you expecting eternal Jewish fealty to Britain because you fought Hitler? You were obligated to fight because of the arrangement you had made with respect to Poland. Of course I'm grateful for Churchill and any like-minded Brits, but not for those who knowingly deprived Hitler's Jewish victims of their only means of escape. Why are you silent on that point? I'll concede that it was vital Britain didn't yield, and history will always smile on you (and particularly Churchill) for that. But that doesn't erase the catalogue of wrongs Britain has committed against Jews, many of which have been mentioned. Perhaps if Britain hadn't deprived Jews of a lifeline to Palestine, or fought on the side of the Jordanians against the Jews, or deprived Israel of desperately needed assistance in 1973, or supported anti-Israel UN resolutions, or defamed Israel and Zionism ad infinitum in your news media, or launched repeated boycotts ... etc ... there wouldn't be any ruffled feathers.
87. #73 Sarah B.
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (02.09.11)
I was wondering when you would join in the discussion and start pouring out your wrath at everyone who disagrees with you. If the Brits are irrelevant then why are they fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq alongside your countrymen eh? And this when most other EU states are too spineless, to quote one of your own descriptions, to offer any assistance. If the Brits are irrelevant then why did the 7/7 attacks happen? They didn't in other EU states. No-one is advocating that the British Empire should still be running as it was and the countries you mention are mostly quite OK with their British heritage. Are your opinions relevant to the public at large?
88. #26 Wiki-leaks showed that the Arab world is 2faced
rebecca ,   Modi'in   (02.09.11)
Wiki-leaks showed that the Arab world does not like Amadinajad, or the Palestinians. The leaks by Al Jazera showed a very few things the Palestinians were talking about offering, and nothing about what the Israeli side said, did, offered etc. Nothing to do with Egypt at all. as for nuclear weapons - what do we preach - that Iran with NW is a bad idea? Most of the world, incl the Arabs say the same. We've never been part of the nuclear disarmament agreements. how do u even know we have them? Has anyone ever seen us even test one? never mind seen one.
89. 82 ghostq
brett ,   usa   (02.09.11)
yeah right ghostq ! our President EVENTUALLY managed to persuade the cowardly Hitler-appeasing wimps in Congress to actually fight Hitler rather than just send guns to the Brits
90. Nothing to worry about!
Gábor Fränkl ,   Budapest, Hungary   (02.09.11)
Britain is now a ridiculous, little rather pathetic country, that cannot even defend itself. The weakest link of the civilized West. After Scotland seperates from the south, Britain will even lose its remaining only clout, its UNSC membership. Stupid Hague.
